Fairfax Volvo - Virginia
My oldest son moved to Fairfax, VA back in August to start his first post-graduation job. He took my 1998 Volvo S70 with him for transportation.
The local Volvo dealer is Fairfax Volvo so I told him to take the car there for an oil change and tire rotation. He provided his own motor oil (Mobil-1 synthetic) for the oil change as the dealership uses conventional motor oil only.
The tires only needed rotation but the service dept. talked him into a rotation and balance (he didn't know any better). After he dropped of the car the... read full review »

WashWorks Car Wash
On December 28, 2006 I went to Washworks at 3:39pm to have my car washed. I paid $15.00 for a Deluxe car wash. After 40 minutes of waiting I began asking employees where my car was.
No one was able to locate my car. I asked for a manager and they told me he was in a back garage. I walked back there to find my car in a shut garage and it had not been washed. I asked what was going on and he said the key broke off in the ignition and so they pushed it into the garage and left it. I asked him why they did not come and get me and he said he... read full review »
Spilsbury
I also ordered from Spilsbury on 12/18. The order screen said order by mid day 12/19 and receive for the holidays. Received my confirmation email.
Today is the 28th and no order. I called customer service and they said it had been canceled due to credit card denial. No way. So she asked if wanted to retry. I said I was going to call the credit card company first. She then said it could be something as simple as wrong expiration date on card and sure enough she gave me the wrong date. After following through with the order, I find it... read full review »
Comcast - Digital Cable TV
Comcast has now missed another appointment ... this was to be the 5th visit to get me the correct, working cable box for my service. Its now been rescheduled -- again (it was never entered into their system). The reason for this is that they've moved a couple of the only channels I watch to the digital spectrum ... which means I had to pay lots more, get a special box (which doesn't work right) and get poorer service and flexibility for recording -- unless I pay even more to get a DVR (which I refuse to do) ... they are trying to... read full review »

I recently was looking for an online degree, and found ashwood university. After paying my fees and enrollment I ended up getting a invoice through my credit card for about $3500.00 the maximum limit.
I called them and asked for refund as i just wanted an assessment. In response they denied it and said it would ruin my credit if i did not make payment. I was very upset.

Chase Manhattan Mortgage Corporation
Due to both of us losing our job at the same time, we were forced to file bankruptcy in 2005. Thanks to God's providence, we were able to "save" our home, or so we thought.
After the bankruptcy was discharged, the mortgage company, Chase Manhattan Mortgage Bank, began sending me "statements" from their "Homeowners Assistance Division" that did not show a due date, and, had the following statement printed on them:
This statement is not a request for payment. Another statement will be printed and mailed to you... read full review »
Yahoo Domains
Yahoo automatically charges your credit card for premium services once the domain name registration expires. Surprise Surprise! A couple months after the domain name registration expired the charges showed up on my credit card. Not only did they purchase the domain names for me without me knowing about it, but they charges a couple years worth, running up my bill unnecessarily.
Then the only way to prevent it from happening again is to cancel the account and not have access for the next 2 years to the domain names that I'm stuck with... read full review »
AirTel - Basaveshwarnagar, Bangalore
I am talking in regard of the airtel showroom that in Basaveshwarnagar, Bangalore (its sme Skyline enterprises). The customer support there is pathetic. anybody visiting there will remember a visit to the jungle. the people there are sooo indecent & arrogant with no knowledge of what they are doing. the channel partner was using fowl language & screaming at the to of his voice causing inconvenience to everybody. Customers have to wait for the executives personal calls to be over, only then will they look at you.
I would Airtel to please do something & teach them some product knowledge & lot of public manners. read full review »

27 inch Panasonic HDTV
I purchased a Panasonic 27 inch HDTV from Circuit City it was less than two years old when on December 2, 2006 it started to smoke and give off noxious fumes. I unplugged it and contacted Circuit City. I thought I had peace of mind because I had purchased their (Advantage Protection Plan) which now has become a total disadvantage. After talking to Circuit City's outsourced customer service department somewhere in India I received a call a few days later from a local vendor who was going to make the repair. Amway.com / Quixtar
When I realized my husband would never be able to bring himself to do the things they asked in order to "build the business", I asked, and then begged that he stop spending the money on books and tapes, seminars and major rallies.
He just kept going on with it, and the longer it went the more I realized that the primary reason we could not get any real help from our upline was that they were already making plenty of money from us off of their share of the tapes, books, seminars, and rallies. Just one example; it costs pennies each... read full review »
Second Chance Lending Group

Circuit City - PhotoShare Portable Digital Photo
I recently bought two PhotoShare Portable Digital Photo Albums for my family from Circuit City.
I was told by the Circuit City associate that you download photos from your camera's memory card or computer into the album and that the album holds 1000s of images. Great idea!
When I opened the package to download images, I found this not to be true. It only runs images off your existing memory card or a memory card you buy for the album. The packaging the manufacture designed does not mention this. As a matter of fact, the... read full review »

Urban Nation Magazine Subscriptions
If you're reading this, you're probably wondering about the legitimacy of a company called Urban Nation. In short, don't give their door-to-door salesman a penny, unless you are willing to throw your money away.
For the longer version, here's the story... Although their office is listed in Willis, Texas, a salesman representing them came to my door in Brookfield, Wisconsin, in August, 2006 to sell his magazines. The salesman was upfront with me and told me that this was not a non-for-profit organization but was rather... read full review »

Mid America Bank
I would like to give everyone a heads-up with regards to Mid-America Bank. If it's possible to overdraft your account - they will maximize the opportunity.
I wrote checks for bills. Instead of processing the smaller amounts and then just bouncing the one larger amount (all processed on the same day), Mid America processed the large one first then proceeded to bounce everything else, charging $32.00 for each "transaction". In addition, I was charged $7 per day for my account being overdrawn. The following week when my payroll... read full review »
Whirlpool Top Freezer Refrigerator
We bought a Whirlpool top freezer refrigerator in late 2001. It worked fine for 5 years but then 1 month after the warranty expired, so did the fridge.
We had a Whirlpool-trained repair person come out to replace the relay (which was in fact no good); with the new part, the fridge worked for about 10 minutes until the compressor stopped again (and was extremely hot to the touch). This happened 2 days before Christmas dinner (which we had to cancel). We lost over $300 in food.
While the fridge did last through the warranty (compressor... read full review »

It would come on and go off for 10 months until we had another problem. The electric window switch went bad in the right rear door. Bidz.com / Online Auctions
My husband won a bid on a GREAT watch that I love. The problem is it is defective. We did not test it since it was a Christmas present. Be sure to check the return policy and test everything you buy from BIDZ. We took the watch to a jewelry store hoping that it was just the battery but we were not that lucky. It is a shame that the company will not stand behind their products.
We won four auctions. We really enjoyed the site until this happened. Beware and check everything you buy. They give you 15 days for returns and do not make exchanges for defective merchandise. The postage is on you too. read full review »

I had just gotten divorced and they saw "naive" coming. Pick up the car, sign, sorry, you signed, it is not in writing. My witnesses wrote letters, too bad. As a result I have lost a few thousand and I am not a rich person, single self supporting female.
