I was contacted (via the school I attend that sells my information to these companies) by this company who sells magazines and strong-armed into purchasing a magazine subscription. I was assured I would not be billed, however, I was immediately billed. There is nothing the credit card company can do for me as it is a ‘pending’ transaction. I have a SAAB 95 Year 2000, a month after the warranty ran out my engine failed. I was told by many mechanics that this was a common problem of that years SAAB. The problem occurred, because the SAAB turbo-charger failed and caused an immediate loss of oil which in-turn destroyed the engine. This company is just a SCAM. I received a phone call saying that they can increase my credit in few month. All u need to do is deposit $300, and have $3000 CREDIT CARD. And u can use it any time. I purchased an MP3 player for my son for Christmas 2006. It was a model H100. Before New Years Day it had froze up and we couldn't get it to work. I called their tech support at the number listed on the instruction manual in the box, which incidentally had been changed. I guess they're to busy addressing consumer complaints to rewrite their manual. Almost six months ago I received a notice in the mail from Harbor Freight indicating that I had accumulated bonus points and was being offered “free” magazine subscriptions as a means to redeem those points. I have been having problems with Exxon/Mobil G. E. Money bank and Allied Collection Agency. It has been nothing short of a nightmare. I fell behind on some of my credit card bills due to family illness. On August 30th I received a call from Allied Collection agency. It literally took getting a Department of Transportation agent inside Moving Kingdom's (aka Empire Relocation) office to get my belongings out of a hostage situation. A woman came to my door with a sob story about raising money by selling magazines. I wrote up a check for a magazine and was given a receipt saying: "THIS SUBSCRIPTION PROCESSED THROUGH PAM Corp." It also states you get a refund if you don't get the magazine within 120 days. After 120 days with no magazine, I called for the refund. Jan 2007 three separate charges to credit card $79.95; $69.95; & $74.95 between Leanrx and XtremeBurn. Phone numbers provided on bank statement request only credit card account number; email address no good either. Tom Adams Builders was hired to do some backfill work around our home. We advanced him the payment ($500), so that he could afford to hire a crane to lift his bobcat out of a ditch that an employee had driven into. He agreed to return with his bobcat and do the backfill work. He never return, avoided our calls, made up excuses when we did get in touch with him and when finally confronted, told us that he would not be doing the work. He is keeping the money. My son has one of these units and it works great with multiple equipment. I ordered one of the units from LCTVs.com but was not told that the manufacturer no longer allows the consumer to download instructions and codes which enable the remote control to operate. The manufacturer said that they stopped allowing the download in August of 2006 and informed all their dealers. I have a problem with the way TrekAmerica tries to paint this picture that trek groups become like family....they even go as far as to have the tour guides mention this the first day we depart for our trip. I was scheduled for equipment installation on feb 14, 2007. Installation was to be between 8 am and 12 pm. I received an automated call on feb 12 verifying the appointment. At about 12:30 pm on the 14th i called direct tv to ask why the installer had not shown. After several conversations with different people, i was told by "angelica" that the work order had been misrouted and could not be completed today. This past weekend ( Feb. 9-10) I had to go to a hockey tournament for my daughter. The team had to book before we got the schedule, and the days inn has a policy that teams are to book for 2 nights minimum. We purchased a new 2005 Chrysler 300C in early 2004 and it is a lemon. We have hauled the car to the dealership six times and it still will not run. We have 25,000 miles on the car because it sits in the garage most of the time. I drive 50 miles to work each day and have sat on the side of the road many times. Consumers Energy decides to estimate meters whenever they don't feel like coming out to your house and giving you an actual reading. My bill went from $81.67 to $274.00 because they estimated instead of doing an actual reading. Had booked 4 nights at the Essex House through Hotels.com (Expedia). My stay there was very unsatisfactory. The hotel room was worn and dirty, the staff was rude and unpleasant, the mechanics of the building kept falling apart, I had to make several phone calls and wait 4 hours to get a mini bar opened. It is very sad that so called number 1 FM radio station FM91.1 Radio city is cheating its listeners so cheaply. Oflate there is program called bid and win where customers are asked to bid for mobiles phone, PDAs etc and many times during the broadcast, they dont specify the charges applicable for SMS send from the listener.
