Phone call received saying it was a promotion from Capital One for being a good customer. I would receive a gas card for $60.00. I agreed to this and than she went on and asked about a lot of other things . Which I did not agree to, the last thing was a coupon book for $29.95. They sent the book and I sent it back, they have now charged my account twice for $29.95 so it must be a monthly thing. They can't be reached by phone or E-Mail. This company shipped me 3 out of 16 lamps that were obviously damaged and not manufactured correctly. They have terrible follow up and customer service and are not truthful when responding to the better business buraue. They still owe me $615 after 9 months of going back and forth. Color wheel has gone out 4 times since I purchased this set on 8-30-2006..Have called Sharp service requesting to purchase a new "color wheel" ...case # 4470299 and talked with "Keith" on 10-13-2008 and you can not just get the color wheel you have to purchase the entire unit at $1400-1800...which is close to what I paid for my set...all it takes to fix is some lubricant on the color wheel shaft and the set works perfect for 3-4 months. A CD was offered online for 1.98 shipping and handling fees. This was supposed to be a government grant search CD. You had to submit your Debit card or credit card to order the CD. Then a week later your charges were placed on your checking account for 69.98 which you did not authorize. This is a serious scam and is affecting a lot of people online. I responded to a website ad (referred to the product as having been recommended by Oprah) and used my credit card to pay $3.95 S&H for a trial offer. I never got the email confirmation and never received the trial. They have charged an additional $87.13 plus $2.44 for foreign exchange charge, two times in the past ten days for a total of $183.09.
