They double billed me forever and took a small act of god to fix that. Then instead of refunding me the money they took, they gave me credit with them. They flat out scammed me. In spring of 2008 I hired Lawn Dr. to get rid of the weeds on my lawn. Their very first trip, they sprayed, which ruined my roses and my lilacs. After much ado and trying to explain it away as something else, they agreed to send in some samples for testing to see if it was their spray. I received my cellular phone bill today. I had 2 charges for $9.99 each. One was from Mobile Messenger for ringtones? I have spoken to their agent and she assures me I will be refunded $9.99 in 8 or 10 business days. The other charge is for Horoscope Alerts from Funmobile, short code 26451. That was not one of their numbers, she could not tell me what number to call for assistance. In the meantime, I texted each of the short codes and I am assured that my subscriptions have been stopped and there is no charge. If so, why did it appear on my bill? On my dv2000, the screen goes black and then have to restart 2 times to get it to work (figure it's only a matter of time before it stops working completely.) Door to door sales person got my 80 yr old mom. They tell you they will lock in gas rates so you are 'protected' from Nicors fluctuating rates. Mom was so well 'protected' that while I have been paying between .53 and .84 per therm, she has been locked into paying 1.10 per therm! When this guy went to her house, she was alone, she finally signed up just to make him leave, knowing she would be able to cancel. I had been with A.W. Surveys for about 6 months and had my account to about $65, $75 with the minimum you could withdraw. So i went to log into my account one day and it said my data could not be found in the system. On the site it states that your account will be canceled if you have not logged in within 45 days, but i logged into my account regularly. So i sent an email to the support in A.W. Surveys, waited for 3 days and no reply. I have since sent a total of 3 emails to this company to find out about my account and still there is no reply. They have some awesome marketing material that indicates they are going to buy your loan from your current lender at a fraction of what you owe, regardless of the loan status. I complied with all requirements and received a confirmation card acknowledging my compliance after waiting 39 months.
