Approximately seven years ago I disputed charges associated with a test done at a local hospital. While the dispute was in process, the account was turned over to West Management Associates, who then sent it to all three credit reporting agencies. I paid the disputed amount to protect my credit, although I still didn't believe it was a legitimate charge, but West Management has continued to report the amount as unpaid, even as recently as 2008. I purchased my Sony Vaio laptop last year in March 2009. Now its just been over a year and the fan is making so much noise that it is impossible to work on it.
