I received a notice (dated January 24th) of an alleged "debt, " related to the now-bankrupt Hollywood Video company. The "notice" does not detail what the charges might be for, but does display a "current balance." Purchased a Hoover Windtunnel cyclonic vacuum in Dec of 2010. Thru Hoover.com, it was a refurb (I have purchased refurbs in the past from other companys and other products without problems.) Management is terrible. The pay is low. Benefit packages is really not much benefits. Looks good, but not good. Be careful working for the company. They may file a lawsuit on you/do not pay you. There is no direction or structure. You may work for them for months and still not sure what to do. Take forever for something to happen. Do not have clear expectation. I was scammed by this company who told me that they were going to give me a loan for $7000 at a 6% APR. It sounded amazing. I talk to the person and everything. There are many families here in my small town, the mother and at least one of the adult offspring (some cases more) get SSI. Most all grown men). They all get food stamp separately. I went to dealership to look at used cars. 2 sales personnel convinced me to look at new. They wrote up a bill of sales and told me that if I signed it I could go home and think about it and my finance over the weekend, and if I decide that I do not want the vehicle, they will refund my deposit and hold me to nothing. I have received a paper in the mail from Afni Inc stating that I have a balance due totaling $214.70. It states that the original collector is Contel of the South Inc and this is their attempt to collect a past debt. They are offering that if I pay half they will consider my account settled. It says that the disconnected phone number the balance is attached to is 217-932-5490. I don't have that number nor do I ever recall having that number in the past. gogoorder.com is a scam with cheap junk items. Ordered a 4GS Iphone and was sent a knock-off 3GS phone that looked like the Aplle Iphone. It even had the apple logo, icons and world wallpaper on screen and on the back of the phone but worked like junk. Jan 9 Due to an emergency situation I had to have some work done regarding sewer line backing up in my basement. I called Drain Rescue.
