McDonald's Gift Card
My stepfather goes to the same McDonald's every morning to get breakfast for him and my mother and so we got him a gift card for Christmas. We bought it at the store in Hermitage and he goes to the one by I-440 and Nolensville Road. These gift cards have been advertised on TV and we assumed that he could use it at any location. They would not accept it. This is unacceptable because they were begging for people to buy them. My mother is a shut in and they are up in age and this upset them. I also go by McDonalds every morning on my way to work for coffee and breakfast. read full review »
Chrysler Town & Country
I own a 2002 Chrylser Town & Country LXi (original owner). This past April with just under 39K miles on the odometer I noted a whirring noise from the engine compartment that grew progressively louder over the course of several weeks.
I suspected a bad alterator which the dealer confirmed. Since i was 3K miles beyond the 'bumper to bumper' warranty (36K miles)I assumed it would be replaced under the extended powertrain warranty. Surprise! An alternator is not considered part of the powertrain and I had to shell out $460 to... read full review »
Steak n Shake - Florida
I was at steak n shake twice this week, the first time the waitress forgot several things,we had to remind her. The first time I went with my brother and nephew who were from out of town and I had bragged about steak n shake how good the food was.
This time it was disappointing we ordered the taco salad it was mostly lettuce and they had no salsa or sour cream, they did however have taco sauce, there was little meat or beans. The next time we went to have milk shakes and my brother a burger and tea. My milkshake was not cold and my... read full review »
Alaska Airlines
Alaska used to be one of my favorite airlines, but Alaska/Horizon are my definition of the bottom of the barrel. A group of us flew from San Jose and Seattle to meet in Boise in December 22, 2006.
Both flights were late; the San Jose one was over 11 hours late. The Alaska/Horizon personnel are so used to this that they don't even talk about 'scheduled' times, they say "target" times as if being on schedule is an unexpected event. It is.
Making matters worse, the Alaska staff makes it clear that there really i... read full review »
Sears - Kenmore Elite HE3 Washer
We purchased the Kenmore Elite HE3 washer with the extended warranty about 2 years ago at Sears. We use the sanitary cycle on many occassions when washing our dogs beds when this last time on 12/25 the water did not drain properly and water was all over our landry room floor.
I said to myself thank goodness for the warranty that we purchased through Sears!! I had called into their service dept. to schedule an appt. for a technician to come out and look at the washer, well they could not schedule me any sooner than Jan. 2nd!!! I said okay... read full review »

Armed Forces International MCSS - Jamaica, NY
This company located in Jamaica NY, 16210 Jamaica Ave Jamaica, NY 11432 uses deceptive business practices and tries to look like a official Military Clothing and sales Store when they are actually not related at all to the military. They only sell surplus military items.
There should be laws against commercial businesses that use the practice of pretending to be a Military store when they are not. Our soldiers who are deceived should not be the victims of this fraud.

Recently I received an unsolicited call from a person representing himself as calling on behalf of the Blade subscription department. We had not renewed our subscription pending the strike/lockout outcome. After some discussion, the Blade solicitor offered a weekend (Saturday, Sunday) subscription for $12. I accepted the offer and provided my credit card number to start the subscription. I received one Saturday paper. When I called to inquire as to why no later papers were being delivered, I was informed that I had a past due balance and that... read full review »
27 inch Panasonic HDTV
I purchased a Panasonic 27 inch HDTV from Circuit City it was less than two years old when on December 2, 2006 it started to smoke and give off noxious fumes. I unplugged it and contacted Circuit City. I thought I had peace of mind because I had purchased their (Advantage Protection Plan) which now has become a total disadvantage. After talking to Circuit City's outsourced customer service department somewhere in India I received a call a few days later from a local vendor who was going to make the repair. Now the trouble begin... read full review »
Chase Manhattan Mortgage Corporation
Due to both of us losing our job at the same time, we were forced to file bankruptcy in 2005. Thanks to God's providence, we were able to "save" our home, or so we thought.
After the bankruptcy was discharged, the mortgage company, Chase Manhattan Mortgage Bank, began sending me "statements" from their "Homeowners Assistance Division" that did not show a due date, and, had the following statement printed on them:
This statement is not a request for payment. Another statement will be printed and mailed to you... read full review »

In the first e-mail I sent them I inform them that I sent the wire transfer and e-mailed them a copy of the paperwork. As the other persons, three or four weeks ago I read e-mails in my mail box and opened the e-mail from Online Supplier. When I realized my husband would never be able to bring himself to do the things they asked in order to "build the business", I asked, and then begged that he stop spending the money on books and tapes, seminars and major rallies.
He just kept going on with it, and the longer it went the more I realized that the primary reason we could not get any real help from our upline was that they were already making plenty of money from us off of their share of the tapes, books, seminars, and rallies. Just one example; it costs pennies each... read full review »

Augustus, Rae and Reed
I hired this company in sept of 2005. To aide with a home foreclosure. They got all my information and money, then they did nothing. I was told to save money by dec first which i did . Then the lies started they claim they were talking to my mortgage company however they never did. This went on for a year when finally i got smart and did it on my own. Please do not hire this company to assist you out of a foreclosure. You will end up owing a lot more than when you started. Then they will never refund your money for services never completed. read full review »

The description and picture of this item clearly states that the blocks have rattan, wood, metal and stone on each one, and look good in the picture. I received these in late September, but because I was painting the room I wanted to hang them in, I didn't open the box for several weeks. I was shocked to see they were merely painted, with no embellishments. Whirlpool Top Freezer Refrigerator
We bought a Whirlpool top freezer refrigerator in late 2001. It worked fine for 5 years but then 1 month after the warranty expired, so did the fridge.
We had a Whirlpool-trained repair person come out to replace the relay (which was in fact no good); with the new part, the fridge worked for about 10 minutes until the compressor stopped again (and was extremely hot to the touch). This happened 2 days before Christmas dinner (which we had to cancel). We lost over $300 in food.

Urban Nation Magazine Subscriptions
If you're reading this, you're probably wondering about the legitimacy of a company called Urban Nation. In short, don't give their door-to-door salesman a penny, unless you are willing to throw your money away.
For the longer version, here's the story... Although their office is listed in Willis, Texas, a salesman representing them came to my door in Brookfield, Wisconsin, in August, 2006 to sell his magazines. Mid America Bank
I would like to give everyone a heads-up with regards to Mid-America Bank. If it's possible to overdraft your account - they will maximize the opportunity.
I wrote checks for bills. Bidz.com / Online Auctions
My husband won a bid on a GREAT watch that I love. The problem is it is defective. We did not test it since it was a Christmas present. Be sure to check the return policy and test everything you buy from BIDZ. We took the watch to a jewelry store hoping that it was just the battery but we were not that lucky. It is a shame that the company will not stand behind their products.
We won four auctions. We really enjoyed the site until this happened. Beware and check everything you buy. They give you 15 days for returns and do not make exchanges for defective merchandise. The postage is on you too. read full review »
