I just received an notice that my mortgage was sold from Mortgage Lenders Network to ASC. I understand that selling mortgages is common and have never had a problem in the past. However, after receiving the mailing I went on line to find ASC's web site and it came back 'unreachable'. I also noticed that before their home page was listed on Google were many, many complaints about this new mortgage company. I called my former lender and left a message with Sandra Jarish, VP. My mortgage was sold to ASC from First Franklin in August 2006. Instead of First Franklin paying my summer taxes, they sent all my escrow to ASC along with the mortgage. Instead of ASC paying my taxes, they applied it to my mortgage like it was a house payment -- they say they paid $2,086.00 in summer taxes but the city shows no payment. My latest complaint is that when I bought my REFURBISHED HP Pavillion a1477c at Costco I was promised a free upgrade to Microsoft Vista when it came available (I bought my unit 11/07/2006). This company offers 3 bureau credit reports online but fails to deliver. Although my credit card was billed immediately, I was unable to access my report over 3-4 days. I was subsequently told I needed a "Private Access Code" to verify my identity, which could only be sent by US mail, although they managed to identify my credit card pretty quickly. We purchased a Philips DVD Burner DVDR75 for $500.00. It NEVER worked properly. The picture transfer was not true to the original and the unit was so sensitive that it would not record if the picture was too snowy. It also crashed while watching DVDs. We were trying to convert personal videos to DVD. We always had problems during the entire time. We would only receive software upgrades and we always had to speak to someone in India. We also had color issues with a Philips TV. The companies service and products are unreliable and the worst to deal with. I will NEVER deal with them or buy another product from them EVER again. I just bought two rugs from Moda Furniture. They are closing their store on 23rd Street in Manhattan, and had advertisements for a huge sale. When I got to the store I was shown several rugs. The retail price of these rugs was stated to be $2,149 each. The salesman explained that they were closing the store, and therefore were selling all the rugs at 70% off. Sept. 2006 I dropped my car off at the mechanic because my breaks were "rubbing". Al, the owner, advised me that I needed new front brakes. He replaced them for $250. I recently applied for a Bank of America credit card. The offer that was mailed to me specifically stated, in at least 3 different places, "No Balance Transfer Fee". It was stated on the front of the offer as well as the back. I wanted to consolidate my debts so I transferred 4 balances totaling a little over $19,000 to the card. I ordered a Ring in July 2006 and then was told in September that it was back-order. I decided to cancel the order and obtain a refund. It is nearly 5 months of being on the phone with Customer Service that they kept telling me that it would be 10-15 days due to changes in their finance department. This letter is in regard to the subpar service that we are receiving from Windstream for internet service. I pay for the top-of-the-line service, which is 3.0. However, I have not been receiving what I’m paying for for nearly a month, now. I purchased a Kenmore Dishwasher barely over 1 year ago. We had our fist problem less than 5 months after owning the dishwasher. They told us that a thermostat burnt out and they replaced it. Now 1 month after the warranty ran out the thermostat went out again. Sears refused to help me without charging me a service charge and a charge for the part. Don’t trust the commercial hype about how good their installs are. The installers look NOTHING like the one’s on TV. Sure price was great but then the install took place. I purchased a Serta Perfect sleeper the mattress after two months it is sagging on both sides. I wake up every morning with all my muscles screaming in pain from trying not to roll out of bed every night. My husband fell off the edge of the bed the other night.
