EVERY TIME I download ANY file attached to an email, the Download Confirmation screen freezes and cannot be closed. The hour glass cursor replaces the arrow/pointer and disables all access. This would require me to CTRL-ALT-DELETE to exit AOL and then I could open the downloaded file by opening the folder into which I downloaded the file. I placed an order with Allure Furniture Designs in early July. It is now August 24 and I still have not received the entry console I ordered. When I called the company and received a voicemail message, my fraud antennae went up immediately. I've left three messages with the company and still have not received a return phone call. I contacted my credit card company today and they verified that Allure went ahead and charged my card earlier this month. How are companies like this allowed to remain in business? This company is awful. I ordered Swivel Sweepers on 6/1/07 for delivery by 8/1/07. Still waiting. The ad for the sweeper says "all orders ship in 24 hours" The ad looks genuine, exactly like the TV infomercial. It turns out they change the rules after you buy, saying 30-60 days, but probably less than 15. You cannot cancel your order. On Aug 1 I was told it was on a ship from China and should clear customs within 30 days. I am not holding my breath. I am writing to request that upper management of Target create a policy that prohibits pharmacists from denying (or harassing) customers from purchasing birth control at the Target pharmacy. I made an error on line with a purchase of a scooter. I contacted the company immediately and was assured that things would be corrected. The company has a no return policy, but because the cancellation was made within seconds of the order, they made an exception....or claimed that they would. I was told to refuse shipment of the product, and after I did they billed me 50% of the cost of the scooter for shipping and restocking. The Alarm company called me a week ago around 3am to say my alarm was going off. I had not even armed it in two days. I told them it was not armed. A few minutes later the police and fire trucks showed up at my door. The alarm company swears it was my fault, I was sleeping. Well it happened again today, and I received verification from my phone company that my alarm never sent a signal. I asked for them to fix the problem and they have ignored me. When calling to question unauthorized charges on my credit card, NOT only are they rude to you but one lady told me that they could not RETURN credit back my credit card. When asking to speak with a manager, the rude lady hung up on me. I went to this dealership to check on a part that I ordered a couple of weeks ago and upon entering the driveway I nearly got high centered on the approach. The drive is on the crest of a hill so you have to watch over the hill when making a left turn to the other lane to be sure you won't get clobbered by a car going the opposite way. On a recent trip to england, i elected to use a AAA travel money card as a way to access cash i already had (they are supposed to be the replacement for travelers cheques). However, i found out afterwards that the fee is 7% on currency exchange. This is printed in the terms and conditions, but as this is a major part of using the card (safely carrying cash to a foreign country) i think it should be stated up front with the rest of the fees.
