On July 23, 2007 i purchased a Philips DVD Home Theater System. On Sep 1, 2007 it was no longer working. It would not eject the DVD, would not play or do anything. I called Philips and was told I first have to mail them the component at my expense and it would take a minimum of 2 to 3 weeks business days for them to send me a replacement. I'm upset because first of all the component should not have problems this soon and I should not have to spend my money returning it. I am having a nightmare of a time getting HP to inform me of the location and status of my computer. The wireless network card on my daughter's Pavilion notebook suddenly stopped working. After hours on the support line and re-imaging the disk (which wiped out several applications that we will have to re-install) they concluded that its a hardware problem. In July 2007 I purchased a 1GB Flash Memory Drive from Consumer Depot. When I opened the box it did not work. It was completely dead. In addition, it was obviously not new, there was no original packaging and there was some tape gunk stuck to the side of it. I placed my order on August 31st. I quickly learned that LTD Commodities does not give you a complete total price until after they ship out your orders. The reason for this is because they don't have set shipping costs. They could send out your item(s) in one box or in one box per item and charge you shipping for each item. We have a built-in Thermador Model SC302TW convection/conventional double oven, purchased it in May 2000. It failed almost immediately and was fixed at the end of June. It worked for a while, then failed again and was fixed in July, 2003, toward the end of the warrantee- only parts were covered. Soon after the panel grew too dim to read. May 2006 I contracted with Lowes in Schenectady, New York for the install of 800 square feet of carpeting in my basement. The install also included to the top of the stairs but not the landing. There is a metal threshold at the top of the landing separating the carpet from the non carpet. Just read Karen's post from 2003 on Jefferson Pilot disability. I just want to say that she is dead on right about them. I had JP insurance thru my employer, and when I became ill my Doctor followed their procedures to certify I was completely disabled. Then the fight began. To make a long story short, I had to fight tooth and nail every inch of the way to get any benefits from them.
