We purchased a home entertainment center in December 07 from Best Buy, we used (by their recommendation, Geek Squad for the installation. When everything was set up, we also purchased a Harmony remote, it has never worked, it has needed reprogramming every few months. On August 19, 2008 I placed an order at ComfortFeetShop.com for a pair of shoes. I received an email confirmation for the product but nothing was shipped. I called repeatedly but no one answered the phone - eventually I resorted to leaving a message. No call back. On September 7, 2008 I still had not received the goods. I emailed the company to cancel the order and called again (no answer, so left a message). ILD Teleservices, Inc charged by phone bill $8.43. When I called them, they referred me to Your Product Bill . YPB told me the charge was for an 800 number that I had subscribed to. Not so. Amount of $89.31 was deducted from my checking account before the 14 day cancellation. Called and was able to reach company and told them I had not received their product, and that it was going to be returned when ever it was delivered to the post office. The product was returned and I was told that a reversal of charge will be posted to my account within 14 business days after they received the product back. I was given a confirmation number. I specfically did not check yes for membership when I decided to try this. Their website must recheck it for you when you send. I just received my shippemnt with the fact in very small print at the bottom that I would be auto billed every two months and that I would also be billed another $79.80 for the remainder of my free 14 days supply, despite the fact I only have 8 days to try before that bill will be applied. 10-31-08 Computer problem diagnosed as a virus problem, with a 24hr reapir turn-around. One week later, and $300 later, it was determined that the problem was with my monitor, not the computer. I paid this company $351 in July 2008 to market my timeshare on Nantucket Island. I was told by the salesman (Mr. Karl Criddle) that he could guarantee the sale of the timeshare within 90 days due to is location and popularity. I have not received one phone call or update from this company since they took my money and they have not returned one phone call requesting a status of the timeshare and if any offers have been received. I believe this company is practicing very deceitful tactics in order to get consumer's money. On 10/31/08 I received a letter indicating that an electronic signature was received authorizing a membership fee of $16.95 every month to my credti card. On the 11th day of a 14 day trial I cancelled both by e-mail and phone and got a confirmation cancellation number from the person I spoke with. Three days later the $59.90 charge shows up on my account anyway. I called and they said that this happens all the time because people do not read the terms and conditions. AT+T bills me for "slammed" services even though I have told them I have not, and will not sign up for any 3rd party services. The AT+T rep says they can't do anything about it because they are required by law to be complicit in any scams and all they can do is collect their fees for the services they provide to the slammers.
