ExploreTalent.com
November 11, 2008
I feel really stupid now after reading another report about Exploretalent.com. I had signed up on a free membership a while back and in late January/early February received an email saying that a casting director was interested in me. When looking to see what it was, it turned out to be for a local hair show and it paid $100. I was really excited about the audition and I looked up the company and they were legit. When I had called Explore Talent to get the information, they looked on my page and said, 'oh you're not a pro-member, I... read full review »

True Vision
November 11, 2008
Just one more report on the True Vision, Inc. scam. I bought a renewal magazine subscription back in May 2008. Same story as the others here, the well-dressed young man claimed he was trying to get back on his feet and was selling magazine subscriptions to do so. Because this was a renewal, I wasn't immediately concerned. Once I started receiving notices from the magazine that my subscription was about to run out, I knew something was up. I'd actually searched for the True Vision, Inc. company on complaintsboard prior to making... read full review »

My two year old washer stopped working, went online and found this companies website. It looked reputable and I called them. Spoke with Delayne Hiott who seemed to be a nice enough guy. I explained that the washer was about two years old and told him the problem I was having and that I was in a bind as I had family coming. I also told him that given it was a couple of years old, I didn't want to even bother having him come out if it was going to cost more then a new washer would cost. He explained it might be a quick fix and the... read full review »

Check Processing Bureau
November 11, 2008
I received a letter in the mail last night from CPB indicating that the letter received was a legal service to collect an unpaid debt of $148. 00 to a pizza place in 2001. I did call the (888) number and spoke to a man who explained that I owe money for a bounced check. I of course had many questions for him which he could not answer; How much was the check writen for? What is the bank name on the check? Why have I never been notified prior to this IF I bounced a check? He told me I would have to go to my bank and ask for a copy of the check... read full review »

The CORRECT answer is – NO BAIL OUT!!! I will make this very simple for everyone to understand. If a company can not make a product that the CONSUMER wants to buy at a PRICE that the consumer wants to pay, then that company no matter how large should go out of Business. Here in GA, KIA is building a HUGE NEW FACTORY. How can KIA be making money when GM and Ford are not. GM and Ford needs to cut cost and build products that people want. Good things happen when OLD NON-PROFITABLE companies are allowed to go out of busine... read full review »

Web Detective Pro/The Privacy Chest
November 11, 2008
Last month, October 10th, 2008, I accepted a 3 day trial offer to test the service of Web Detective Pro at http://www.Web-Detective.com. It was implicitly stated on the website that if I canceled my membership within 3 days, I would only get charged $2.95 and that the membership will be canceled. The payment indeed showed that my checking account was charged under "305-671-3165RMGMEMB VIC AU AU." My experience is much the same has been reported in an earlier Ripoff Report about this dealer. This dealer put a motorcycle on Ebay. I bid on it, my bid did not equal the reserve price. After the bidding was closed this dealer then offered to sell the bike to me for less than I bid. I assume in this way he cheated Ebay out of their commission. We discussed at great length the condition of the bike and especially the service that had been done on the bike. This is where this dealer lied to me, when I was told that all the factory service... read full review »
