I received a "Notice of Termination of Card Program" on 11/24/2008. This is all well and good, but since this might adversely affect my credit score/rating, I called and asked for a reduction in my APR which is a ridiculous 24.75%. I noticed additional charge on my Spring bill of $9.99 for a service I never signed up for. I went to a Sprint Store and asked them where this charge came from. I learned that PredictoMobile Vote is a 3-rd party company, and they can not do anything about it. The comapy does not provide their phone number or any contact info on the bill. While am on a business trip in Africa. Amex reduced my line of credit by $25000 to less than the balance on my account; rendering my card useless and causing me embarrassment and costing me money. My husband and I financed a home through American General Finance. As first time home buyers we were unaware of what we were getting into. We didn't receive any paperwork at closing. We were told it was an open end mortgage, had no idea that they charged us 15% interest, pre-payment penalty, a balloon payment and mandatory arbitration. They did loan flipping on an auto loan. Scam artist. Promise's jobs then doesn't deliver. Take's out ads on Job websites, Monster, Careerbuilders, Yahoo, etc... promising you can get a job in a car dealership. Then he says you have to buy sales material for the class, after which you'll have a job. Also hires "trainers" to do the same thing at dealerships. Charges students at the dealerships $629, charges potential trainers $4, 500. This man just takes your money and runs. They raise your rent every 6-12 months depending on which lease you sign. They have raised my rent three times in two years and $50.00 each time. New tenants moving in pay a lesser amount then I do and to the best of my knowledge, some people never get a rent increase, talk about discrimination. Recently I selected a website that appeared to be the Avast Anti-virus Software site. It indicated that I could purchase the Home Editon with one-year support for just over $12. I selected this option, entered my credit card info, etc. Then noticed that I was being billed for the 3-year support costing over $52. I really appreciate the fact that even I can use a credit card, but the Walmart Visa Card has too many charges. You are being charged to activate the card, reload money onto the card, and a monthly fee is deducted. I think that Walmart should be a little more considerate when it comes to the difficult times that we are all falling victim to.
