House of Computers
My invoice was very juvenile and had no number on it. I called them(House of Computers) back and told them the DVD drive did not fit my computer. They wanted to argue with me and tell me that it was the right drive for my laptop. I finally got a return authorization number, and sent the drive back that day. Out of my original $95.79, they were going to credit my account with $57 and change. That was last week! I sent it Express Mail on Monday, the 28th of January. I called them just now, at 5:21 PM EST, Febuary the 7th, and was told they had... read full review »

I received an e-mail from them to call their customer support line, well before I could call them, one of their sales reps called me. He told me what a great unit I had bought and wanted permission to ship it out right away with a way overpriced SD card. I told him no. He then told me I'd need to protect my investment with an overpriced extended warranty. I told him most electronics have a shorter product life because we usually upgrade before that and that I wasn't interested. He then got a little ugly and told me he'd reduce... read full review »

Like many people have noted here, shipping takes two and a half forvers. Prices are decent but the products are generally cheap second class garbage. I had three of eight multi-LED flashlights came in with one or more dead LEDs. When I told customer service they told me there was nothing they could do about it. Oh well, what do you expect from this kind of business. They're selling the stuff that's too flimsy and cheap to sell overseas - so they import it over hear and heap it on us, but not before making their cut. Companies like this are one step away from being a scam. Avoid like the plague. read full review »

We recently ordered some hardware for our PS2 from Baysoft, as they did have the lowest price we saw online. After one week, we still had not heard anything, nor had we been charged. After 9 days, we were finally charged for the product, but did not receive any e-mail notification, tracking number, or the like. After finally checking around (and seeing the overwhelming bad press), we sent them an e-mail, asking that they provide some sort of indication of where our product was. We received nothing. We found a company phone number on our credit... read full review »

I'm quite surprised this thing is still in business (if you can call it that?). Cartridges that are marked wrong, not like the website represents them, no yellow in several 3-color cartridges (when I clean to try to get some yellow going, that runs out the black cartridge), odd-shaped unusual cartridges, AND reduced from 18ml contents to 12ml of ink content. Their 1-800 phone only has a message telling you to email them. Their "Customer non-Service" is plainly a sarcastic a$$hole who is no help - just lies and insults. And it goes on and on and on. A bunch of useless rats. read full review »

Altima Solutions
In case you dropped by to read what is new after all these years, I thought I may leave you this note to say two things:
1. I truly regret the difficult circumstances and all the troubles that some of Altima customers had to endure during the last two months while the company was going through the acquisition. At the time, I was not able to disclose much during the acquisition process, but I did my best to leave informative notices on our site and also here. The problem is that while the acquisition / escrow process was practically... read full review »

Terrible. I ordered Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix from them since they claim that they had it available. The shipping, like the majority of the reviewers here stated, was ridiculous. But my dad was kind enough to purchase it for me. But after googling this company and found a boycott site, I instantly became worried. But I waited for a while for the game to arrive, and even tried to email them. But no reponse, and the phone call was a nightmare. Also, the game never did arrive And so I decided to file a complaint at BBB and they cancelled the... read full review »

My experience is the same as everyone elses. Ordered a camera in March.. it's now October.. I left the order open to see what would happen. No camera. Completely rude and dishonest, one of the salesmen even called me an idiot because I couldn't understand why after 4 "it'll be there in 10 days" lies they wouldn't own up and say they couldn't get it. Indeed, I wish I would have found this great review site before purchasing from Avalon Tronix (same as Avalon Gadgets / Foto Electronics, they appear to use several different online identities). This was confirmed by Garmin, when I talked to them after finding that I could not register the unit on their website (as it had been previously... read full review »

Very Dissatisfied seems to be the theme here. Certainly for me. Tried to order a camera. Got the e-mail saying I had to call to confirm order. Big sales push for high priced battery. I knew better than to pay $149 for a Canon camera battery - so I said no. What I didn't know until later was that my camera order was placed in a "back order" status. I did receive a lesser priced spare battery from them, but no camera. First off, I don't care what kind of "mad cash" you were making with the company, if you say that lying to customers was OK because you were just taking orders, you have no moral or ethical backbone, and are therefore a worthless human being. Many many soldiers have been condemned in war crimes courts for the mass slaughter of innocent people, but tried to weasel out by saying they were "just following orders."
