Selected an engineered hardwood floor from Shaw flooring. The installed product did not even come close to the sample board used to make the selection. Shaw would not send anyone out to review the installed product versus the sample. We had to send the sample board to them and they denied the claim. Even the installation company agrees that the prduct delivered did not match the sample. The sample showed subtle grain in shades of brown. ELK is very good at marketing and responds very quickly and efficiently to new potential clients, but when it comes to delivery, they are shocking! Over a period of two and a half months they have made numerous appointments to come take final meassurements and then never pitch up (after you have moved your appointments to accomodate them). I purcashed an engineered floor in May 2010 and by October 2010 the finish was coming off anf the supposed knots in the wood were nothing more that some putty/plastic material that came up off the floor. I purchased a Kenmore Elite Calypso Washer from Sears in 2002. Within one year it had the mother Board replaced for more than $1000 but luckily it was under warranty. I have never been happy with the performance of this washer. Clothes are dripping with water and full of lint. It has broken down couple of times and I have had it fixed . It is broken again and I just found out that there was a Class Action Law Suit for this model settled in 2009 and I was not even aware of it because Sears did not deem it necessary to inform me. No complaints about the food but don't use the restrooms before eating it. They are not clean, are too small, are not handicap accessible and have no paper towels. I bought a Stanley bedroom set from their American Modern Collection in 2010 and am appalled at the quality we received. We custom ordered it from International Home Furnishings and saw the set in a store before purchasing. When the furniture was delivered to our home it was all dented and dinged up. Dixie Homecrafters installed The GutterGuardian System on my home 7/25/09. I have repeatedly complained about the water dripping from the gutter system when it rains, snows or sleets. They have sent reps out that say there is nothing wrong with the system and that the dripping is a random incident or that there is not enough water falling to wet the paint on the gutter cover to wick the water into the gutter. Our dishwasher panel shorted out 3 times between Oct 2010 and Aug 2011 and was unsuccessfully repaired by their contractor each time but the last. The delivery date was to be around Dec, 27th 2010, about a week and a half or so from when we bought it. This company (Brad) came out to look at my broken hot water heat (3 years old, purchased and installed by AMY). They told me that the gas valve needed to be replaced and was not under warranty, that only the tank itself was, and that it would be several days to get the valve because it had to be ordered (we were already out of hot water for 3 days). We had purchased an indoor water wall feature on April 20, 2007.
