Bought two "Sterling" sofas from dfs which delived in Nov 09. In May, I noticed that the sofas were sitting on the floor which should not be, resulting damaged leather as well. Complainted to dfs and been told that the wooden frame would push down when people sitting on it. That is no good as sofa is for sitting and besides, we have hardly sitting on the sofa at all. This company either seems to be out of business or they are just selling home warranties in a fraudulent way. Need service for a covered item and tried to e-mail their customer service firstly. We have a Sears Elite Dual fuel range. The bake element went out, so we ordered a new one, and a new oven floor, since it burned into that when it went out. We discovered we didn't know how to replace the floor, so we called for a technician. When all was said and done, we did without our oven for five weeks because of Sears having to rechedule because of over booking!!! We unfortunately purchased and installed Vetter windows when building our home. The product was faulty resulting in thousands of dollars in water damage to the structure of our home. These Vetter windows are now owned by Windowshield of whom has the worst service of any company I have ever dealt with. I have a Kenmore Elite 3 door with the freezer on the bottom... model number 795.77542600. Another problem I had with this fridge is the vegetable drawers, as the small ball bearing wheels broke off just after the warranty expired. They still slide in and out, but they are resting on the plastic guides now so it is not so smooth and will probably wear out prematurely. I ordered a building from Super Steel Buildings in March 2010, and was charged for changes and Engineering in the amount of $7, 401.49. When I had not heard from them by mid June I attempted to contact them only to find their telephones shut down. Since therer is no way to contact them It looks like fraud to me. On July 18th, 2010 we discovered that the sump pump in our basement failed and the basement had flooded. We called Drain Rescue and they sent out a representative to review the situation. He advised he could replace the pump for $700. I had priced sump pumps earlier that morning and questioned the price since I had found several 1/3 HP (similar pumps) costing between $130 and $250. My alarm system starting having false alarms on a regular basis. It would randomly go off in the middle of the night. I contacted Apex for service. A technical support person walked me through several tests on the keypad. He said everything was testing okay. On 12/23/09, two Verizon Fios technicians installed Fios on tv, computer, and phone. Upon completion of wiring for my family room, HD tv would no longer power on. Technician told me to call manufacturer and purchase extended warranty, because tv was only 3 years old. Further instructed me to file claim against warranty 24 hours after it took effect.
