When I called The Harford requesting a "quote" for auto insurance, at no time did the agent notify me that they would do a credit check. As a result of this, they listed four derogatory statements in the reply letter. The DIRECTOR, Susan L. Castaaneda, refused to answer my letter, instead a Melissa Giard called me and stated that they had done nothing wrong. Subsequently, I received a form letter for Ms Castaneda directing me to sign-up for auto insurance. I also filed a complaint with the BBB in CT, but to no avail. These clowns are part of what some car dealers do. They promise you financing and you the customer act in good faith. You give them a deposit when asked.
After they lie to you and don't produce, they keep your deposit. This happened to me at Kings Auto Plaza Brooklyn NY. I reported them to the Brooklyn DA, that's when I got my deposit back.
I am reporting these jokers to the Westchester County NY DA's office for the same type of offense.

I have booked for refil of LPG gas cylinder consumer K 18597 on telephone on 30 Apr 11 and was allotted preliminary booking number 29. I parked in the lot by my school, University of Houston-Downtown, with a valid surface lot parking permit. There were many other vehicles with similar plaques on the rearview mirror, however, my car got booted. My Family, have been long time Nissan owners.My husband and 2 daughters are Nissan owners and we have purchased multiple nissan products over the years. My issue is with our 2002 nissan Altima, which is rusting on the front passenger and drivers floor. I have a 1999 Altima and i do not have this problem.My husband had to replace the oil tray because of rust.Reading the other entries in the forum, I see this must be a common problem. February 14 2011 went to Stone Mountain Toyota get an oil change which would be at no charge as I have a card which gives you the 6th oil change for free. Was told that the oil change could not be done as the oil pan and bolt needed to be replaced. That it was a very serious situation because there was a bad oil leak. I had not seen any evidence of oil leaking from my car.

I purchased a brand new 2009 Honda Civic at about 60, 000 miles the paint started to crack. The car looks like a boiled egg that has been droped. No peeling or chipping just cracks everywhere. I hired Safelite to fix a very small chip in my windshield. The technician looked at the repair, told me it would be no problem, took my money and began to work on my car. He never mentioned that there was a risk the repair could lead to a crack in my windshield. Three hours later I returned to my car to discover a six inch crack (now expanded to a twelve inch crack), a receipt, and a copy of their warranty which strictly limits their liability to the application of the repair cost to a replacement. My name is Jonathan Tong. I have been covered by Geico insurance since July 2010, yet the DMV insists that I have not proven "financial responsibility for failure to provide insurance". Last month I attempted to have an additional $2, 000 per month drafted from a different checking account and sent to CSC Logic. We rented a car trough the internet via Transavia and pre-payed it at home with iDeal. Arriving at the desk of Holiday Cars at Gatwick Airport we found that they did not give us the car before we gave our creditcard.
We do not own a creditcard so we did not get our car. We pre-payed euro 234, 00 with iDeal. If we wanted another car we had to pay again for the rent of the car and an additional 250 pounds for surety.

I went to Balise Toyota little over a 2 years ago to look at used Tundras only to find the sales staff is not very helpful. Besides being way over priced compared to other Toyota dealers, I found the salesman to be pretty put off.
Bad mistake, as I went with my mom who was in the market at the time for new top of the line Lexus.So giving me a hard time over a used $20, 000 Tundra probably costed the dealership a sale on a new Lexus that gores for around $80, 000 or more.
