Zen Vanlines, run by Paul Bendi, is the most dishonest, disorganized, and unprofessional group I have ever worked with. We hired them to move our things from our old house to storage while we waited on the new house and into the new house. The first sign of trouble was when they called to ask what our things looked like on the morning of delivery. Then, when they arrived, the price agreed upon had significantly increased, and our belongings were held hostage if we wouldn't agree to pay. Because of the heirlooms and meaningful items held hostage, we paid the outrageous ransom. As the truck was being unloaded, we began to see many items that were not ours. As we unpacked boxes we found both things that weren't our (in our boxes, which we packed) as well as items that were missing. Paul Bendi was nearly impossible to get in touch with and a week later when he finally called, agreed to make things right. However, it is over two months later, and he is no longer answering e-mails, phone calls, or returning messages. We have over $1500 in damages- of things we were really upset over losing...not including all items, AND we still have someone else's bag with jewelry in it. Paul has made NO EFFORT to reunite the owner with the bag or rectify this situation. He is nothing short of dishonest and a thief. He admits his crews missed up, but he takes no responsibilty. His insurance claim has never even made it to our hands.
