Taking advantage of hard working people
I am making this complaint for my cousin LEISA J. PENIX... she was in the hospital on the day that this charge and another one occurred!! RECOVERING FROM HEART SURGERY!!! She got a bill, saying she was overdrawn,so we went to the bank, we got this name and number... of course we called and of course they were closed!!! But I did get another number for them... (952)258-2000... I also have the address... this is just wrong taking advantage of hard working people like this, especially while they are in the hospital!!! Has anyone ever gotten their money back?

We never ordered anything!
We never ordered anything and for three months they charged our card- when you call to get a refund and cancel they will not tell you what you ordered whom the so called billing company represents- this is a major scam. My theory is that they have stolen card numbers from card readers in major cities... Then they submit the number with an order to the credit card clearing operations and they are in business.... What a scam! Cancel your credit card immediately and get a new number as they get shut down when the charge is rejected by your bank- but this does not solve that they are stealing legit credit card numbers though. Well let's leave it up to our state consumer affairs and federal government to shut down these guys- yeah right!!

Unauthorized charges on my credit card
There ate three charges on my credit card for $16.95 that I did not authorize. The months are February, March and April of 2007. I called my credit card company and they are going to look into my complaint. I called WC Value Plus but they were closed.

Charging for something I never received!
Hey there everyone I posted the other day because I finally realized that this company was charging me without my knowledge and authorization. I never looked at my bill summary because I wasn't using that card anymore. I cut it up and have it put away. 30% interest and I just want to pay it off and get rid of it. So when I was over the limit after paying for 3 months and not using it I freaked out.
I finally got in touch with that company 1 800 475 1942 call in the middle of the day. I called around 1pm EST I live in Massachusetts. They gladly cancelled my account and they asked me if there was anything else I needed so I told them that there were thousands of consumers in the US that were very very upset with your company and you should be expecting a large loss of revenue toward your company because I along with at least half of the people I have heard from were going to be contacting the Better Business Bureau. She couldn't even respond to what I had just told her. She didn't even ask if there was anything else, she just said thank you.
So now I have to get my credit card company to get 84.75 back from that company because I am lucky they only got me 5 times before I noticed and put a stop to it. Good luck to all who have been scammed by these bastards and give 'em hell!!!
Thanks again to all who wrote to me about this situation,
Kim

Beware of this scam!
Anyone who has been harassed either by phone or signed up for this without consent, cancel your membership as soon as you can. This company sounds as if they are located in a basement somewhere when you call (you can hear other "customer service representatives" in the background) and they scam you into a recurring transaction of $16.95/mo. When you call, be sure to demand for a cancellation confirmation number (they will insist you wait for the confirmation e-mail that never gets sent), then watch your credit card statements carefully for any transactions that seem suspicious.
Also, a good thing to do (I have Bank of America) is call the customer service # for your credit card. Have them fill out a report with the date you canceled the Value Plus account and the confirmation number you (hopefully) obtained from them. While some credit card companies and banks can't stop the actual transaction, they will at least have written proof that you did cancel your Value Plus account and then fighting any future charges if they happen to slip through the cracks will be far easier. Value Plus rarely, if ever, issues refunds for what money they have scammed from you. Good luck and watch out!

Debit charges for no services or product
I noticed two charges on my debit card for WC Value Plus, one for $1 and another for $19.95. After calling the phone # they listed I determined that I had nothing to do with this company. Call your bank immediately to get this investigation started and get your money back. I did. Also got a new debit card.

Charged card without providing a service
I agreed to sign up for this and give it a shot. I was told that I would receive information in the mail and had 2 weeks to cancel the free trial before being charged for membership. I never received any information in the mail but was charged after the two week trial period. I could not find their number until I looked on this website and found other complaints. Many people had the number wrong though: it is NOT 1-800-457-1942 but is instead 1-800-475-1942. Many people had the 7 and 5 switched. I called the second number (475) and it was the correct number. The membership was canceled and I am supposed to receive a refund in the mail in 7-10 days. We'll see about that.

Telemarketing scam
I just discovered I have been the unwitting victim of this company for the last 19 months! They began electronically debiting my checking account for $19.95 each month. Having read the complaints in this website, it appears this is a longterm, widespread scam. I never gave my checkcard number to this company directly, so they somehow ' obtained' my number through some other means. VISA and my issuing bank will only go back 60 to 120 days to issue a provisional refund. The company is in Minn. and their website www.JoinValuePlus.com cleverly exempts residents of their home state from doing business with them. When I called the Attorney General office in Minn. I was told the most effective way to complain is through my own state's Attor. Gen. office since they become an advocate on behalf of their residents in these matters. I was also told to go to IC3.gov online , which I have not yet done, but will do after I finish this letter. So to all those who have been victimized by this outfit, file a complaint with your Attor. Gen. office, the Fraud Hotline, your bank and /or credit card company to get the word out. Also, if your newspaper or a local tv station has a consumer complaint dept. - call them. They may be able to do for you what VISA, MASTERCARD or your bank won't, which is get your money back!

Unauthorized charges to my debit card!
I never received any letter or email from this company and I already left US on Dec. 19. I never got to use my dollar debit card from then on. I was surprised when I got charged for 14.95 each for 12/27 and 1/23. This is impossible 'cause I never made any purchase from this company and never even received anything from them!
