Discrimination at Walmart
The last few times I have shopped at Walmart I have been accosted as I leave the store by an employee demanding to see my receipt. Normally I would not take offense; however, I am white and the employee is an African-American woman who works there every Sunday and she does not stop other African-American shoppers and demand to see their receipts. In addition, I have shopped at other Walmarts and they do not stop you as you are leaving demanding to see your receipt. If this is a practice that they are going to continue then it needs to be consistent. Every single person should be stopped and have their merchandise counted (i.e. Costco). I feel that I was being singled out and discriminated against since I am white and the store is in a hispanic neighborhood. My father is a retired judge and we are looking into if this violates my civil rights.

Shoddy oil change service!
Took 2 cars to Walmart (old one in town) and selected Value Package Oil Service.

Car 1 - found fluids not topped as in plan, no vacuum cleaning of interiors, no windshield clean and no window shield washer fluid added. Also found some charges for battery terminals that were unchanged... So took back and technician checked and added transmission fluid and had battery charges reversed.

Car 2 - Oil was black!!! as if not changed at all, no vacuum of interior, no windscreen clean, no topping of fluids, so took it back and manager said it did not look okay (oil being black) and that he would have the oil change done again for free. Also promised to top off all the fluids as required. Later found that the fluids were again not topped. But oil change was done second time for free.

I will never go to Walmart for oil change again. Do not know how many times they did this earlier... with inexperienced or non professional technicians. The technicians seem like temps. Last time I went for oil change, they replaced my battery with a new incorrect battery and did not even fix it. Upon noticing that the clock had reset in the car, I checked hood and found the problem. Spoke to manager... who had my old good battery put back and gave the replaced battery to me for free as 1). It was tech fault to replace battery and put incorrect battery and also not connect the clamps back again on the car 2.) They could not sell the battery again.

leak
I took my 1996 gmc van to walmart, I use to always use walmart for oil changes and there was always some little thing that i did'nt like', but no big deal. The previous time i took my van there, i left and went home and did not drive the van that day. I woke up to a flat tire. There was no puncture, i put that can of stuff you get at the 7-11 in there and went to the service station and got air. all was fine. This last time i got an oil change i was driving home and my van started over heating. i had to call a tow truck to tow me to a garage. the mechanic said that who ever did your oil change knocked out the freeze plug. It took me a week to find a plug for my van, oh, by the way i called walmart the nest day and they said i should have brought the vehicle back immediately. Duh, the van was undriveable. it cost me about $300 total. I get my oil changes at pep boys now!

hi im a mother of 3 small children in need of help !! heres what happen to me in a walmart ,i was shopping for a toy for my 4yr son it was his birthday . i was in the toy dept the employee named REGINA CROSS .was on a phone yelling bad words my son said some of the words this girl used .i asked the employee .not to talk like that in front of my kids .i was told if i didnt shut my mouth she would kick my a**. needless to say i ended my shopping and left the store.on my way out i asked to speek with her manager .he told me he would handel it .well 2days later i was in the same store and ran in to REGINA CROSS again i was pushed and yelled at and REGINA SPIT IN MY FACES walmart feels that REGINA CROSS should keep her job .i feel as a mother,a shopper ,as a customer , walmart should of fired this girl i now shop in fear of this employee .ive found out this employee has has a number of complaints on her but yet still works for walmart ,we dont have a kmart or a mall and i cant drive 70miles to another store i need help why is walmart allso spitn in my face couse i feel they are by not doing anything bout this here more info on the employee i found on the net but she still works for walmart anyone out there plz help me with this >>>> info of store and employee <<

Discrimination!
My brother was returning a pair of jeans at the Wal-Mart in Jackson, KY. He did not have a receipt for these jeans, and just wanted a gift card or exchange. The customer before him in line, an older lady, was returning an older telephone without the receipt, without the box, or anything. The associates gave her CASH back for this telephone. then, my brother (25 yrs. old) took the jeans to the counter. There was nothing wrong with the jeans, except they didn't fit him. They were Brand New with tags and UPC code. The lady behind the counter (Diane) told him, 'We don't give exchanges/gift cards without receipts!' He said, 'well, the lady ahead of me brought back that phone without the receipt or even the box it came in and you gave her cash!' then a manager (Paul) stepped over and my brother explained the situation, and the mgr. said, 'No... no returns without receipts!' then, my brother said, 'look at that phone sitting there... a lady brought that in with no receipt or even a box and they gave her cash!' the mgr. said, 'Well, it didn't go through me.' My brother asked 'well, why does this return have to go through you, then?' the mgr couldn't give an answer.

About 15 minutes later, I took the jeans back (again, no receipt) into the store and they gave me a gift card for them... no questions asked! This is obvious discrimination!

Scam information!
Walmart employees are selling new Digital TV's telling people that in February 2009 they will lose ALL reception on their old TV's.They are telling consumers that even if they have cable TV they will lose too.The only way you can keep watching TV is to purchase a NEW DTV set. TRUTH: The only people that will lose reception are the ones that receive their signal over the 'Air' with an outside antenna. If you have cable or a satellite service you will NOT be affected.

What Walmart is doing is WRONG and they need to get it straight. I also believe that they are not training their employees on the FACTS.

Terrible service!
I would like to Know why they only have about four registers open Day or Night. Even in the Pharmacy you have to wait more than several hours to get your prescription. I have been to All the Walmart Stores in Shreveport, and their Service is much better because they have enough employees. I have worked for a large Company and I was told that The Customer comes First. Even the Store i not kept up.

Fraud and cheating!
Consumers Beware, don't purchase Walmart Black Friday Doorbuster specials on anything you may have to return. This is what happened to me. I purchased an Emerson 19" LCD HDTV on Black Friday for $198.00 for my son as a Christmas Gift. The purchase was made at the Clarksburg, WV store. When we opened it and hooked it up on Christmas, it didn't work. We had sound but no picture. We boxed it back up and with receipt in hand, I returned it the day after Christmas to the same store as purchased. To my delight, there was no line for returns! I told the cashier the problem with the TV and that I wanted to exchange it for another one. She scanned the TV and my receipt, and cheerfully told me I was in luck because that particular TV was still on sale. Her comment confused me somewhat, since I only wanted to exchange it for the exact model I wasn't sure what that would have to do with anything. She said since that was the case she would issue me a cash refund, and I could just go back and repurchase another one.

My two sons and I headed back to the electronics dept. and quickly located the same TV. However, when I looked at the price, it stated $287.oo. We put the TV in the cart and took it to the register in the electronics dept. and asked a nice young man there to scan it. I explained the situation to him, and after scanning the TV he said it had a different SKU and that it was the same model, but they change the SKU after black friday. The department head whose name was Bonnie came over, and we explained to her that I wanted to "exchange" and that it was the same TV. She very rudely stated NO, and said that was just how it was. If I wanted that TV, I would have to pay the difference. I could not believe what I was hearing. How can they do that? She said black friday specials have different SKU numbers, even though they are the same item, and it was that way at any store, not just Walmart. I disagreed with her, and after telling her that I doubted that other stores had that same practice, decided I would take my $$ and buy a TV elsewhere, even if I had to pay more. On the way out of the store, with my 18 year old son prompting me, we stopped to speak to an assistant store manager. I explained everything to him, thinking all the while that something is very wrong, and I'm sure he'll fix it. After making a call back to electronics, he told me No sorry, that was just how it was, and it was Walmart's policy. So I proceed to ask him if what he is saying is that Walmart purchases items from wholesalers, stocks them for Black Friday at discounted prices, then changes the SKU and increases the price afterwards. THEN, when innocent consumers purchase items that don't work, return them WITH receipt and ask to just exchange for the exact same item, they cannot because the SKU and price are different. If the consumer wants the same item they must pay the difference?? HE ANSWERED YES THAT IS WALMART'S PRACTICE.

I gave him an earful, as well as the people in close proximity to me, and went over to speak to my Mother who works there, and was going on lunch break. I told her about the issue, and after she returned from clocking out, she said she spoke to another manager and that she wanted to speak to me. I went to her, and told her the problem, and she did say that although it was not company policy, she would make it right. I followed her to electronics, and she did help me and make it right by giving me the EXACT SAME TV WITH A DIFFERENT SKU AND PRICE, for my original purchase price. However, I might add that while she was doing the override on the electronics department register, BONNIE, the dept. head was there and put her rudeness back to work by stating that she didn't know why I was getting to do that when they wouldn't even do it for associates. If I were her boss, she would have been fired immediately for saying that in front of a customer. WE GOT THE TV, AND IT WORKS, SO THANKS FRANCIE FOR YOUR HELP, YOU ARE GREAT. The rest of WALMART can kiss my @**, cause I'm taking the roughly $10,000 I spend annually there somewhere else. DO NOT BUY BLACK FRIDAY SPECIALS AT WALMART IF YOU MAY HAVE TO RETURN THEM. BETTER YET DON'T BUY THEM AT ALL!!!

Bad service!
On December 07, 2007 I ordered the Celestine Prophecy from walmart.com and opted to use their site to store shipping. The order was said to arrive before Christmas Eve between the 19 and 23 of December. I thought great. I'll be flying out on the 24th and have it just in time. I called on the 19 no package so I said to the customer service rep I'd just call back on Sunday which is today surely it would be there. I called at around 9:00 am. Spoke with a representative who took my order number and phone number and said she would call me right back. An hour past with no call. I called back and ask about the movie for the second time. Same thing except the lady called me right back and asked for the order number yet again. She looked it up said she couldn't find it. I asked to speak with a manager it took over 10 min of being on hold. He took the information put me back on hold had another young lady answer the phone and give me the site to store number. I called the site to store 1 800 number where the representative asked me for the order number, placed me on hold came back to the phone a couple minutes later told me she spoke with the store here and that it indeed was at the store and had been in fact delivered on the Dec 12, 2007. THE 12 of DECEMBER, here it is the 23rd and I received no call, no email, and when I called on the 19th and even today I was told my DVD wasn't there? I called back and asked the manager why I hadn't received a call and why when I called I was told it wasn't there more than three times. He tells me to hold on comes back about 5 minutes later to tell me "Miss Richards your DVD is here". DUH! Are you kidding me? This guy is the manager? Whoa walmart has soom pretty low standards. The phone hangs up after I told him I knew the DVD was there I wanted to know why I didn't get a call or was told it was in when I called. It could have been my cell phone just lost the signal so I called back. I was on hold for 10 minutes. I got in my car went to the store and was still on hold when I got there. I walk into the store and Ricky the asst manager finally answers. I told him I was in the store and to meet me at customer service. I was on hold so long I made it to the store before anyone answered the phone to help me. WOW.

Ricky began to tell me he had no way of checking packages when they came in. He said it takes 15 days then the customer is notified. WHAT? 15 days after my package arrives then I'm notified. That's the process? I asked him and another manager what the process was when packages came in to the stores and they had no answer, they worked around the question never giving me a straight answer. Never did find out what the process was or why I didn't receive a call or email or why no one could tell me my package was in when it had been there since the 12th. The Store manager then began to tell me I was making no sense and I was lucky I got my package. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. A dvd that I paid $17.06 I was lucky to get it 10+ days after it arrived at the store. Me a Air Force Veteran who volunteered my time to defend this country with him in it and who is only a few months shy of completing a Master of Science Degree in Psychology is making no sense and is lucky to get a DVD I paid for. Wow way to go managers Blue Angel Wal-Mart in Pensacola, Florida.
