Terrible service!
I went to Walmart this morning to purchase a digital camera. I chose a $200 camera that I purchased the warranty on and also a memory card for it. In all, I spent almost $250. I went out to the car and put the batteries in it. When I turned it on, I noticed that the screen was broken on the back. I immediately went back in the store to return it. They checked the serial numbers and found out that it was not the same camera as the box, not even the same model number. They spoke to the man that sold it to me and he said that the box was opened when I purchased it. I spent about 45 minutes in the store while they figured out what to do. In the end, the told me to take it home and they took my name and number and said they would contact me. When I got home a few hours later, I told my husband what happened and he went to the store and they told him the same thing. They contacted me around about 20 minutes ago and told me that there is nothing they could do. They will not give me my money back or exchange the camera.

My son got a job at Mcdonalds about 3 months ago he wanted to save money for the things he wanted and one was an Xbox 360. Well he finally had enough and yesterday we went to walmart to get his 360. He was so happy and me as his mother was so proud that he was learning what working was all about. Well we get home from walmart and open the box. It was a mess. the controller was covered in dirt or food. Nothing was sealed in the the proper way. It was horrible. My son had just paid full price for a used Xbox. I was upset. I made him pack it back up and we went back up to walmart. We were treated horrible. They were very rude to us it was unforgiveable. They did give him his money back. But I bet they put that back on the shelf for someone else to buy. They didn't even let us fill out the form as to why we were returning it. I lost gas and time and also my respect for walmart !!! They also never said the were SORRY.

Tip to get help
For those of you who've has issues with your local WalMart...here is a little tip.

My daughter called our local WalMart to check on the availability for a vacuum part. After calling the store 3 times, and being kept on hold for over an hour total (including one call asking to speak to the Manager), she hung up and called the Corporate office in Bentonville, AR.

Questions regarding a Wal-Mart Store issue

She calmly told them of her experience, how long we've been customers of WalMart and how disappointed we were with the service we received.

They were very apologetic and promised her they would take care of this and ensure it never happens again.

Within 30 minutes of her call to Arkansas, the manager of our local WalMart was on the phone. He personally found the item we needed and held it in his office for us. He also did NOT make excuses for his employees...(which I found refreshing) and assured us they were working on improving themselves in this area.

I know it isn't much, but it is an idea to help. Go straight to the top. They will listen!

You can say alot about WalMart on the local level, but I have to say, if Corporate knew about some of your issues, I can assure you...they would take care of it immediately! It was amazing!

(Oh, and I don't work for them!!! :-)

Parkway has hired a known thief. The womans name is Jan Maxwell Gaston. She stole peoples identity from several Metro Area Doctors Offices.
She was arrested in November 2007 and is obviously out on bond. She was charged with credit card transaction fraud, ID Fraud and receiving stolen property. How can Walmart hire someone like this to work around credit cards. I will not go there. This woman caused and is still causing a lot of people grief and ruined their credit.

OIL CHANGE
I TOOK MY CAR IN FOR AN OIL CHANGE. AFTER MY CAR WAS "FINISHED" I HAD ANOTHER APPT TO GO TO SO WHEN I GOT HOME I CHECKED THE CAR OVER TO SEE IF WALMART HAD DONE WHAT I ASKED AND PAID FOR . MY WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID WAS NOT FILLED, WINDSHIELD NOT CLEANED, AND INSIDE NOT VACUUMED.
I CALLED WALMART TO COMPLAIN AND THE LADY TOLD ME SHE WROTE MY NAME DOWN AND I COULD BRING MY CAR BACK AND THEY WOULD DO EVERYTHING THEY MISSED. SHE WAS VERY NICE ABOUT IT BUT I HAVE TO FIND THE TIME TO TAKE MY CAR BACK AND WAIT AGAIN WHEN IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE IN THE FIRST PLACE. I LET THEM KNOW THAT THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED AND I AM TIRED OF IT. JUST BECAUSE I AM A WOMAN DOES NOT GIVE ANY THE RIGHT TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ME WHEN IT COMES TO MY VEHICLE. I CAN CHANGE MY OIL BUT I PAID TO HAVE IT DONE AND I EXPECT TO HAVE IT DONE RIGHT. I AM COMPLAINING TO EVERYBODY I CAN.

Sells used merchandise
I went to return an unopened package of Hanes underwear to Walmart and the lady asked me what was wrong. I said how do I know I never opened the package - I just dont want them!

Tried to return a T-Shirt with the tags on it and she said she couldnt take it because it had been worn and had hairs on it - I said yea hairs from your *** sales floor. Who wears T-shirts with Walmart tags?

I then went to the shoe department and found used sandals in a box for sale! Dirty little toe marks - gross I hate Walmart.

Vision center quality and service is a disaster!
I brought my own designer frames in and asked if they could fit them with lenses. They said no problem. The cost would be $80 per lens and a $20 processing fee, for a total of $180. After I gave them my money it was nothing but trouble. The first week I got a call that the lenses had to be sent back due to quality issues. The second week I drove to pick them up only to find out that it was the wrong prescription. The next week I got a call that the lenses came in too big. Two weeks after that I was told that they were in, went down to pick them up, only to find that the lenses were full of debris and when one of the attendants cleaned them up they ended up scratching the lenses due to the poor lens cutting job.

By this time I had had it. I must have spent over $30 in gas driving back and forth across the county over the month and a half they had my frames. The manager's reasoning (Andrel) for giving me a refund was that she was having to eat all the costs on these lenses and it was not worth it to her. Never mind that NONE of this was my fault. The manager was more interested in the bottom line than customer satisfaction. So, I went in to return the lenses yet again and the manager was not in. The vision attendant (Amanda) was extremely uncooperative and told me that she could not give me a refund because the manager was out to lunch and that I would have to wait for 30 minutes. I then asked her to call another manager to which she replied that another manager would not be able to help me. I then *insisted* that she call a manager to which she replied, "I really don't understand what the problem is with the glasses." Ummm, do they *train* these people in customer service??? Once again, I insisted on speaking to a manager. She picked up the phone and told me that there was no other manager in. So, I got up, walked down to customer service, and low and behold, there I found a manager!! Imagine that? A manager in a store! The manager was extremely sympathetic and issued me a refund of $160, to which I interjected that I paid $180. Amanda, the lazy, unhelpful attendant piped in that $20 was a non-refundable processing fee. To which I responded, "for what? Are you saying that I should pay you for holding my frames for a month and a half and continually putting in defective lenses???" Thank goodness the kind manager was still there and promptly refunded me the additional $20. So, for all that hassle I lost $30 in gas, hours in time, gained a high degree of frustration, and got my $250 designer frames back with scratches and off-kilter hinges which I am uncertain can be repaired. Everything they say about the Walmart Vision Center is true. They suck!!

Imitation beef!
My husband and I purchased over two hundred dollars worth of groceries today. We had intentions of enjoying a good steak. We paid $14.50 for 2 packs of new york strip. Each pack had two steaks. Each set of steaks had each steak shaped differently.
We also had my sister and brother in law have a steak as well. Out of each steak package one of the two steaks were not the same meat. their texture were different, and tasted imitation, and was very gross. My husband being a owner of a meat business, recognized off hand that the imitation steak was different than his. We feel that walmart intentionally placed a good steak and a bad steak per package. It makes sense because the price was so good. We will never ever buy steak again, and this happened about 2-3 years ago, and we said nothing.

Someone is screwing around in the meat cutting room and switching steaks. Please look into this. This also happened in the walmart store in Arcadia, Fl. Thank you. Catherine Douglas.

Poor customer service!
I bought a dvd burner for my husband for his birthday. I took it home and wrapped it when he opened it up it looked like someone had beat it with a baseball bat. When I took it back the very next day with receipt in hand the manager and associate argued with me for over thirty minutes as if I had done it and brought it back to exchange.

Terrible experience!
Stopped in wal mart to pick up refills at the pharmacy and needed to get home in a hurry. Seemed to be a good day since I was able to walk up within a couple of minutes to get my meds. The only items I had were my meds and in a their small med bag with the receipt stapled over the top as usual. Headed out the door and 5 foot granny asked about receipt, held the bag up and that didn't satisfy her. I kept going and she came after grabbing my bag saying I need to see it, and twisting my hand and the bag around where she could read the damn numbers. Seeing the receipt was not good enough! While she was holding the bag I told her, ' you know you can get into trouble about this', and her reply(sung) was a tune from a song, 'ain't that a shame'... I left and headed for my car and the more I thought about it the madder I got.

I knew I had already read on here about a similar episode in shreveport and the results there. Well before I got a half mile away I had the manager on the phone telling her what happened. The manager told me the lady was not supposed to do that because, ' anything bought at the pharmacy can't leave without being paid for first and she did not need to see any receipt'. She asked if that was the only bag I had and told her yes and she said she would have to have a talk with her about what she did being wrong.

I am still steamed over it. Have never had it happen before and the usual guy that is at the door was over by the door sitting down and said nothing. The manager could not believe what the old lady said in reply to me. The old lady acted like she was the sheriff.

I don't think this is going to be the end of this. I am normally easy going with things like this and have shown my receipt before when leaving and other times had my buggy full and some stuff not in bags and just walked right on out with just a nod or even at times slowed down to show the receipt without them even asking to see it. I guess this is one of those things that gets under your skin and u just have to scratch it until your satisfied, so I think I got some scratching to do... Rock.
