Walmart Reviews

Worst customer service
The date is wrong, but this happened and I am hoping Walmart changes their policy..It was a busy shopping day toward Christmas..we had just begun shopping..no items in our cart..our first stop was the elctronics dept. we wanted to get some dvds..we picked out 4 dvds two were dvd sets about $40 a piece..the movies were $25 a piece..we placed them in our cart over $100 in total not counting tax..there was a line that stretched out around the entire length of the Elect. dept. into the shoes dept. we walked around the lines because we were not ready to leave yet..suddenly a walmart Employee jumps out at me scaring me silly I actually jumped, grabs my arm and yells "you have to pay for those movies here" I informed her we were not done with our shopping, she tightened her grip on my arm and said "you still have to pay for them here" I looked over at the long lines and said "like hell" I handed her the two dvd sets back and the two single movies..she made a face and said "don't you still want them?" I turned and said no we don't have time to stand in line twice..keep them! Then we walked away..I realize they have to protect themselves against theft, but my Partner and I are returning customers..acting as if everyone they come in contact with are thieves is very insulting..I for one do not appreciate it..I did end up getting both sets and both movies later, but not at Walmart..and we paid alot less for them! Btw we did find two movies up front in the 2 for $10 bin..we decided if they asked us to go to the electronic dept to pay for them we would just set them aside too, but happily they let us pay upfront for them...I should add when that Employee grabbed my arm she came close to getting her lights punched out, first by me then by my Partner... it is so not a good idea to grab someone like that!

Return of phone
I have shopped at walmart for years, not anymore!!! I was to leave for vacation and everyone suggested I get a pay as you go phone. So I thought ok I could pick this up at walmart. I went there to get a phone which the electronics guy didn't seem to know a whole lot, but I could figure this simple thing out, so I purchased the T-Mobile pay as you go along with a extra minutes card.

I get home load the phone, try again and agian to load the sim card only the little clip is broken that holds card in place, so the next morning I 'm supposed to leave at 5 am for vacation, I stop by walmart and they do not open until 6am. This is okay I'm only gonna lose a hour travel, was I ever wrong on that, I go to customer service to return phone and was told I needed to go to electronics they would be able to help me.

I get back to that department and the gril there tells me they don't open that up for service until 9am. This is total to long for me to wait, so I go back to the service desk and just asked to return the phone and extra minutes card, and the guy calls over the shift manager(PAT) and I explain how this doesn't work and would like them to remove this from my credit card. While she is sifting through the bag she comes across the minutes card and the seal is scratched off she refuses to return the card. At this point its 7am and I try to explain it's not my fault the damn phone and card is missing the seal, this was my first experience purchasing both products.

I told her I didn't appreciate the way I was being treated and that I would never step foot in there or any other walmart for the rest of my life. I would spend approx. 600.00- 1500.00 per month at their store with grocery's and misc. things. I was very disappointed in the whole experience of trying to return this product, and plan to shop at TARGET, MEJIER, AND ANY OTHER STORE OTHER THAN WALMART.

Poor photographer
On 8/12/2008 I took my three grandchildren to WalMart to have photos taken. The girl Jeska was cordial enough, but not a first rate photographer. She is the one seeing the children through the lens and can tell if hair is out of place etc. One child had a clump of hair sticking out, another had a rooster tail. I did adjust clothing myself on the smallest of the children. I was told the photos would be ready on 9/03/2008. As I was leaving town to visit my mother and wanted to take photos along, I called on 9/01/2008 to see if they might perhaps be ready and was told by Jeska that they were not in yet.

The following day, on the 2nd, I left town and my husband received a call shortly after I left from WalMart informing him that the pictures were ready and had been sitting there for two weeks. Needless to say I was quite angry about this as now I will have to mail all the photos instead of being able to hand deliver them. This is my first and I can assure you my last experience with the WalMart Photo Studio.

Ruined oil pan
I took in my car for a routine oil change but found out that the last time Walmart did my oil change they forced the wrong plug in and it was stripped when they went to change the oil. So they sent me to THEIR repair place - no, i didn't have a choice in the repair shop - and Walmart would reimburse me. Went to THEIR place for repair, had it "done" and Walmart paid me. Mind you, this took place back in April 2008. Fast forward to August 2008 when I mistakenly took my car back to Walmart for another oil change. Was told that THEIR repair place didn't do the work correctly and now I'm STUCK - tough out of luck - because they reimbursed for the repair. So I'm stuck getting the entire oil pan replaced for $500. THIS IS ALL FOR WALMART'S MISTAKE of shoving a WRONG oil plug back in the pan. How does that happen when there's only 2 bays for oil changes? Oh, and the repair place is "conveniently" out of business. WALMART SUCKS.

BS charges
When you cash your check at walmart... and add money to your card... there is not supposed to be a charge... the last 4 times i loaded my card they charged almost 5$... and there is no way to talk to these people... to get your money back.

Management
Not only are the "associates" clueless on how to bag groceries,
the "management ", block the aisles on their 4pm walk-about.
Training and common courtesy please!

Beware
I recently had Wal-Mart auto services install a battery in my car. After a few days the car stalled and had to be towed to garage. The mechanic found that the wrong battery had been installed. It was too high, it overheated and welded the hood latch shut as well as caused damage to the underside of the hood. The cost of the damage was $490. I had the Walmart receipt for the battery and installation, a receipt from the mechanic who fixed the damage clearly stating that the cause was the installation of the wrong battery, and pictures of the damages. I submitted these to Wal-Mart's claim management company (CMI) and my claim was refused. They blamed the manufacturer of the battery not the morons who installed the wrong one. I will pursue this in small claims court since Walmart doesn't take responsibility for its mistakes.

Rip off
I work for Wal-Mart and when I recently receive my check i noticed they had deducted my overtime under a nonsense code of retro-overtime. This is a Federal offense and I am deciding what I should do now. Any suggestions let me know.

money taken at gas pump
I paid the gas station attendant $40.00 to purchase gas on August 18, 2008 after 10:00 pm. She programed the gas pump for only $20.00. When I pumped my gas the pumped at 20.00. she claimed that I only gave her 20.00 and that I had to wait until 11:00pm when she closed to see if her register was over. well I did not wait. i went into the store and asked to see a manager. I was told that the person I needed to see did not come in until the next morning. Well, I live 25 miles from that Walmart so the next morning I called the station manager. She told me that the person that worked that night did not report an overage and that was nothing she could do about my money she had taken. Both the manager and the cashier were very rude to me. I want my $20.00 back. I will never make any gas purchases at Walmart again.
