rude customer service/transaction
I just had the worst customer service experience. I have a money card from wal mart which I only use if I dont have my check card available. I made a transaction to a company and the card was declined. When I contacted wal mart they told me I only had $1.00 avaliable and I put $120 on the card. When I called wal mart they told me that because the company requested the amount it came off my card but the transaction was declined. So not only did I not receive the service I attempted to pay for but I had to wait 2-3 business days before I got my money back. When I spoke with a supervisor she was very inconsiderate and was not empathetic. I was so frustrated and when I asked her a question again, she interrupted me to give me a confirmation # and then she hung up the phone on me. Once I receive my refund they will never have to worry about me using this card EVER AGAIN!!! I will stick to regular prepaid card from now on.

will not activate card, make me wait 7-10 days for a refund
I bought a Walmart Money Card from walmart in Foothill Ranch CA. This is a pre-paid credit card. I paid 6 dollars for the activation fee and loaded 200 dollars onto the pre-paid card. I needed this pre-paid card to pay a bill online. When I attempted to activate the card online, I was given an 800 number to call, to complete the activation. Of course the office for the 800 number was closed so I waited untill the next day and gave them a call. They informed me that they cannot activate my card because I have "negative activity" on another pre-paid card. This was news to me because I don't have any other pre-paid credit cards. They could not provide me with any information regarding this "negative activity" not the company name or the card name, nothing. So They must process a refund for me. I say ok, I'll just go back to walmart and get a refund, but they said I could not do that. The only thing they said they can do is send me a check for the refund which of course will take 7-10 business days. Or I could get it expedited to me, but of course I would have to pay 20 dollars for this. I find this whole situation ridiculous. I have no other pre-paid accounts so it is impossible for me to have negative activity on one. So because of their computer mistake and their unwillingness to rectify it, I am out 200 dollars untill they decide to mail it to me. I cant afford to lose 200 dollars for a day, let alone 7-10 days. I wrote this complaint so that people will see it and stay away from the WALMART MONEYCARD. thank you.

customer service sucks!!!!!!!!
The Walmart MoneyCard is the biggest joke! The customer service people have no clue what they are doing! They even lie! I have shopped at walmart for a long time and never received such bad service as I did with the people on the phone to have the personalized card sent to me. I bought my first card, pay $3 plus put $20 on it. Did not know that I could not have them fedx to me because there was not enough $ on it, the customer service person did not tell me this just said I had to buy another one and do it again. So the next day I go back to walmart buy a 2nd card (remember I did not know I needed a larger amount of money on it) so I go on line try it again! Now I try and do it in just my daughters name but the message comes up that a parent needs to authorize it so I am again speaking with a customer service rep. This time he explained that it was already activated that it couldn't be fedx to me so what they want me to do is GO BACK TO WALMART A THIRD TIME BUY ANOTHER CARD PUT MORE MONEY ON IT AND CALL THEM DIRECT877-965-7848. SO I GO GET A THIRD CARD!!! I PUT 50 DOLLARS ON IT AND I COME HOME AND CALL THE NUMBER GIVEN TO ME!!! NOW THIS IS THE BIGGEST JOKE!!! I CALLED, ENDED UP WITH A REP AGAIN AND SHE GOES "IT WILL BE MAILED TO YOU IN 7 TO 10 BUSINESS DAYS" AT THAT POINT I STOPPED HER AND SAID "I NEED THIS ONE FEDX TO ME " SO SHE SENDS ME TO ANOTHER DEPT SO THEY CAN FEDX IT TO ME. WANT DO YOU THINK I GOT? SORRY BUT IT WAS ALREADY ACTIVATED AND WE CAN NOT FEDX IT TO YOU!!! I DID NOT DO IT! THE REP ON THE PHONE DID AND DIDN'T ASK IF I WANTED IT FEDX TO ME ! NOW A THIRD CARD CAN NOT BE FEDX TO ME!!!
I WAS NOT EVEN GIVEN THE OPTION AT ALL ON THE COMPUTER OR SPEAKING TO A REP TO HAVE IT FEDX!!! IT IS IN THE PAPERWORK WHEN YOU BUY THE FIRST CARD THAT IT WILL COST 20 DOLLARS TO HAVE IT FEDX!!!
THAT IT ALL I WANTED BUT THE REPS LIED!!! I FINALLY HAD ENOUGH TALKING TO THE REPS SO I ASKED TO SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR WHO SAID THAT THE 3RD CARD WITH 50 DOLLARS WOULD BE FEDX D TO ME AND I WOULD GET IT FRIDAY TODAY IS SATURDAY !!!I DID NOT RECEIVE IT BECAUSE THE REPS LIED!!! I AM SO DISAPPOINTED IN THE WAY I WAS TREATED AND LIED TO! I WISH I NEVER HAVE TO SHOP AT WALMART AGAIN OR DEAL WITH THE REPS ON THE PHONE BECAUSE THEY ARE LIARS. IF AND WHEN I RECEIVE THESE STUPID CARDS I WILL TAKE ALL THE MONEY OFF THEM AND CUT THEM UP BECAUSE THIS WAS THE BIGGEST JOKE OF A BUSINESS I EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH. PERSONALLY I THINK WALMART SHOULD NOT SELL THEM UNTIL THEY TRAIN THEIR PEOPLE CORRECTLY TO DEAL WITH CUSTOMERS AND THE PROBLEMS THAT COME WITH THE CARD! PLUS THEY NEED TO TELL THE COMPUTER PROGRAMMERS TO GO OVER THE PROGRAM BECAUSE ITS NOT RIGHT!!! i NEVER BEEN SO MAD AT CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS IN MY LIFE!!! LIES LIES LIES IS ALL I GOT!!! I THINK WALMART CUSTOMER SERVICE SHOULD TAKE LESSONS FROM LL BEAN INC. BECAUSE THEY WOULD NEVER TREAT PEOPLE THE I WAS TREATED BY WALMART REPS!!!

Walmart texting to me on my cell
Walmart customer service calls my cell everyday and leaves a message telling my balance. I have received 26 text messages and Bellsouth has charged me with them, $3.20. I want the texting stopped, how do you do that?

loaded a expired money card
on today i went to walmart to add money to my walmart money card. I put $160.00 on the card to pay a bill. when i call the co. to pay the bill i found that the card had expired. So i went back to walmart to see what i needed to do. I called the money card center because it took my money and i could not get my money back off the expired card.i asked nwhy did it accept the money and the card was expired? so i purchased a new card the supervisior told me to activate the new card and she would transfer he money to the new card.i expressed the importance that they do that a.s.a.p. so after i activated the new card i was told that the transfer was taking place as we were talking, and i would be called when it was complete.well quess what i never received the call and when i called back the office was closed and the money had not been transfered.

Customer Service
I bought a $25.00 walmart prepaid money card to use to pay a bill - I attempted to pay the bill - the rep who took the card over the phone used my OLD address zip code. She told me the transaction was declined. I call Walmart and they tell me that the transaction appeared to have gone through even though it is cancelled and they're holding my money for something like 20 days~ When I complained all they would do was do a reverse transaction which meant I had to wait 2 more days to get my money. UNBELIEVABLE. RIP OFF - I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER THING AT WALMART AGAIN! Be aware!

withdrawl of unauthoriesed funds
on 4-21-2009 at 8:33pm, I purchased a walmartmoney card. When I made it home I activated the card. When I checked the balance on the card, the electronic statement showed me owing vision bill and other businesses.
How can this be possible? Number one, brand new card.Number two, I know nothing about these companies.
When I called the money card center, I was told more than less they can not do any thing about this matter. Iwas told that I have to straighten the matters with the company.
Today 4-22-2009, I (Rose Graham) am submitting a complaint to you and the Better Business Bureau.

Can't resolve issues
My daughter received a money card from my father for her birthday. When he purchased it, the clerks neglected to tell him that it had to be activated with a special code on the bottom of the receipt. (It does state this information on the back of the envelope that the card comes in, in small print, however.) Never-the-less, my father didn't read it, and wasn't informed of it. I have now spent the last 2 months attempting to convince someone, anyone at Walmart, to help me locate the SPECIAL code! To no avail, I still have no answers! There is apparently no identifying numbers, codes, bar codes, etc. to isolate this purchase. As sophisticated as computers are today, tracking inventory and whatever else needs to be done, they cannot locate a purchase made at a particular store, on a given date, with barcodes and amounts loaded onto the card. How convenient that is for them! I have called the numbers listed on the card, but if you haven't activated it, then the automated system disconnects(it doesn't allow you to speak with a real live person). I have contacted the managers of the stores in my location, who have contacted managers at the purchase location, still no information, except "sorry, it says you have to have the receipt to activate". I have even contacted GE Money, the issuing company, they also refuse to help. Where do I go now? This cannot be this hard! There has to be a way to track and identify these cards.

no access to on line service
I tried to obtain information concerning my moneycard through the internet. I put in my account number and I got the message that the number was invalid. I tried calling customer service and I only got a recording. The Federal government should look very carefully into this Walmart money card. Especially the hidden fees.

rip off
This is the second time I bought a Walmart money card and when I put 250.00 on it and tried to pay my light bill it would not process. So I wondered what was going on because the bill was only 220.00. Then I called them and the man told me that because my first card had my middle and last name and my current card had my first and last name they had to close my account even though I explained everything to him, gave my social and DOB he said because of security reasons.Now I have a return fee of 25.00 added to my light bill because it didn't process even though when I did it online it showed as paid. Anyone with insight on this please respond. This is bulls$#@.
