I bought a walmart money card so that i could buy a iphone 4 online at apple.com. i placed my order and the card would not allow apple to take the funds so my order was cancelled. so i reodered with my bebit card and every thing was fine.

The next day i try to use the money card to take my cash off and they are telling me that the funds were not on the card. per apple the funds were available and that the card holder just needed to release the funds. customer service told me that it would be july 20 before i can get my funds and it was only july 10!!! I had to go off on those people before they would listen. they put me on hold for 50 minutes and then came back and said it would be 2 days and i should have my money. if i dont have my money in two days. i will personally tell eveyone at green dot and walmart off until they give me my money.

I have had a walmart money card for a while and have had so many complaints i wouldnt know where to begin. The main one is when a hold of funds is placed on your card. more than once they have held my money for much longer than i feel is legal(i cant seem to find the law and what is legal in this issue tho) my first example is i ordered a replacement phone through sprint at the time i thought i had to pay for it myself. sprint contacted me and said it was approved through insurance and had released the pending $365.88 on that day. i waited, and waited, and waited for the pending charge to return to my account 16 days later i contacted the customer service number and was advised and i quote " it can be held up to 15 days even though sprint released it" that does not include weekends and holidays. it took 7 phone calls and 28 days to get the money returned to my account after sprint released it as pending. i was advised to contact sprint and have them call the money card people and get the fax number the sprint can send a fax releasing the funds this was after 20 days. why should sprint have to do all that 20 days after they did what they are required to do? it is obvious that this pre paid card co has no intention of ever conducting them selves in a manner of respectable conduct towards its customers. i still use this card because it is a way to protect yourself from fraud and misuse by only having whats available on the card so if its not there it cant be taken when your traveling or using online so thats the only benefit, however the internal abuse by the company itself is a serious problem. perhaps someone out there has advice on possible class action against this company or some sort of recourse its card holders can take to curb this out of control and uncaring company. they seem to think that just because its customers are using prepaid services they are subhuman or unimportant members of society, this may sound strong however they have since day one shown they feel this way and have done nothing what so ever to correct any complaints.

I had a Charter Cable bill I had to pay, I went to Walmart on 04/24/10 at 9:24pm to get this Walmart Money card to use it to pay my bill, I went home, went to the web site, got the card activated and all, got on the phone, called Charter to make the payment and it didn't go through, I got Walmart Money Card on the phone to find out the problem and they told me, they was having system problems, they wasn't having system problems when I put my $160 on the dam card, they wasn't having systems problems when their middle man got his cut but when Charter comes to get the money for the bill, they're having system problems and I was told to call back in 15 minutes, I called back and they said, call back in an hour, I called back, they were closed, my bill never got paid, I called the next day and guess what, the problem is not fix and I was told to call back in 15 minutes again, I called 15 minutes later and was told to call back in an hour, while I was waiting, I called the computer system, it said I had a security lock on my card, alright I got the card activated but theres a security lock on it, WTF...

I called back an hour later and told them what the computer told me, thinking it could get fix quickly if I told them that, I was told to call back in 2 hours, I called back all that day until they closed, I called the next day, the problem still isn't fixed now, it's day three of calling back, I asked to speak with someone higher up in their office to handle my problem, he got on the phone and told me the $160.00 that I put on the card wasn't on the card and wanted me to send him the receipt so that he could see it in order to put my $160.00 back on the card(Hmm, I know that trick...) I got on the internet, went to the site and there it is in front of me $160.00 it's still there on the card, I asked for someone els to speak with, this one told me that my $160.00 is still on the card and that I can finally pay my charter bill, I got on the phone with Charter to make the payment a second time and it still didn't go through, I got back on the phone with Walmart Money Card again about the problem and was told to call back in 15 minutes, then an hour, then two hours, I called back all that day until they closed, I called the next day, this is day four, yep, you guessed it, the problem is'nt fixed yet.

Thanks to Walmart Money Card, I have a card with my money on it that I can't get to but, they can, I have the receipt that reminds me of this mistake I made because all I wanted to do was pay my dam Charter Cable bill, Walmart Money Card is nothing but a bunch of bull, I got the papers to prove it, I wish I never got that fuckin card, money is way to hard to come by these days, I struggle very hard to get the money I can get to pay bills, be comfortable and eat, the people at Walmart Money Card are just one of the reasons why many good people turn to do horrible things just to be comfortable and eat, I'm so angry, I don't know what to do and it's all thanks to Walmart Money Card a.k.a. Bullshit.

I tried to pay for purchases online and even at a store and I get declined every time . I KNOW THERE is money in my visa account but I still get declined

Money card activation lacks personnel . Its hard to activate when one cannt speak to some one, then they give you an address to write to like a person can sit by the mail box before needing the card or the phone number which is answered in another country, Why should it be so hard to activate or even wait on the second card its that 2nd card where the problem lays, then again maybe thats what they want if enough people cannt get it activated they just throw away the old card leaving little money on the card but if add that up to over a a thousand people they're making a killing off of it .
