Walgreens Pharmacy Reviews

LOST PRESCRIPTION
I turned in a prescription and the lady at the drive through said that it would be ready in about an hour so I go back to pick it up and she said that they couldn't fill it until the 9th of June. I told her that I would come back then. I have since called to check on it and they said they couldn't find my prescription and it was lost. My Dr. will not write another one due to the neglegence of the workers at that pharmacy bc my meds were a narcotic. He didn't want to open prescriptions in my name floating out there. Now I have no medicine and will be having alot of health issues due to Walgreens bad employees!!

prescriptions
Pharmacy is inconsistent. One asian pharmacist named Ann told me my prescription would be ready on Friday, I show up on Saturday and was told by Kevin that. my prescription could not be filled. I even had the last bottle showing the date the previous prescription was filled. Not only that, I called to fill the prescription in the first place and the person that answered the phone told me it was ready, they did not tell me that it was a call center picking up the phone, I wasted 30+ miles on my car and still have not got my prescription filled. They told me that they are reluctant to fill it because other people that take the same meds as I do don't end up picking up their full prescription. This is discrimination based on the medication I take! I'm sick of it! I expect it from Public, I expect it from Winn Dixie (who threw it back in my face), but you would think Agrees of all places would be happy to have a customer that has insurance. What will Agrees do after pharmacy legislation is passed in Florida. I won't feel sorry for you all when you lose your jobs, when you could have been better to the customer who is not on Oxycontin and the Hillbilly heroin. To Walgreens, goodbye! You lost my business, and my prescription sells for over $600 and up, how much profit did you just lose?

prescription ERROR
On 4/11/2011 I went to pick up my Rx., as I do EVERY WEEK and by the yime i got home gave my baby a tub I realized they only gave me half of my Rx. Which is only 7 pills My Rx. is for 14. I called the store, explained what happened, and I had a witness with me to confirm my story.I was advised to go in the next day and speak with the manager, MATHEW MOI. I did the very next day. He could have cared less! He refused to give me the rest of my Rx., or a refund, even show the slightest concern of what would happen as a result of not having them. His refusal to admitt any fault by himself or staff members made me request thier District Managers number/name. After I was mislead and given the store manager(I found out upon leaving the store)and asked him aswel for the regional/distric manager"s number. Im still waiting for even so much as a responce. I will LYK...

moving Pharmacist to another location
We have just been informed that Walgreens plans on moving Charlie Margaritis from the pharmacy in the Southborough, MA (rte 9) store to one in Maynard, MA. What Walgreen's needs to understand is that Charlie built his business, Southborough Drug Store, within the local community for a reason. He wanted to serve the people of Southborough. People came to his store to see the friendly face, check out which bow tie he was wearing today, and get their medications or ask a question about something. He was a Southborough institution. When the "BIG" companies started to take over the area, the little guy just couldn't compete, so Charlie sold his book of business to Osco drug - because he agreed with their philosophy of being there for the customer. People follow Charlie, they want him to be the one filling their scripts, they trust him. When he moved over to Walgreens, many of his original customers came with him...look at the numbers, see how many people came from Osco (which was bought by Brooks and then Rite Aid) to Walgreen's. They come for the local feel, their neighborhood pharmacist, who calls everyone by name, serving his community. He wants to stay in his hometown, but due to corporate numbers they want to move him? What about being part of the local community? Walgreen's website states "A history of our company: How a neighborhood drugstore became America's most trusted pharmacy... and changed the shopping habits of a nation.". Well that is what Charlie is to Southborough. He is the neighborhood drugstore...SO LET'S KEEP HIM IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD! Don't move Charlie Margaritis to Maynard, MA. KEEP CHARLIE MARGARITIS IN SOUTHBOROUGH!!!

Thank you!!

service
This pharmacy provides the worst service. Their employees think they deserve to be treated like loyalty so they can be nice. Everytime I go to pick up my medication they make me wait...(drive thru) they never have the medication ready..(when I order two, they give me only one)...
The other day they gave me a vaccine to give it to my doctor...and they didn't put any label (keep refrigerated)...so the vaccine couldn't be used because of their mistake.
They are awful rude stupid people...

Lost insurance card
Today I left my insurance card with my prescription to be filled at Walgreens. I never received my insurance card back. Not a big deal, EXCEPT it had my full name and my date of birth on it!!! Then when I asked them about it they tried to tell me that they never received it. Are you kidding me??? And the best they could do is say that they could not find it. They never even said they were sorry. BEWARE!!!

Rude workers & unable to get my medication in a timely manner
Unable to receive my medications timely. Asked worker if she could call another Walgreens to find if they have the medications. She told me to call them myself.

Insurance fraud, failed to deliver Meds, but billed Insurance
Two Walgreens stores in Baytown TX are at fault, one refused to accept Military Tri Care Insurance, obious discrimination against veterans, rude, arrigant towards veterans, the second store, accepted the Military insurance for 90 day supply of med, but cheated the veteran by only putting 30 day supply in the large bottle, then repeately refused to correct the shortage, thus increasing their profits, to the detriment of the veterans health problems.
Three days later, after filing a complaint against the store, with Military Tri Care, the store reluctantly corrected the amount, but acted arrigant, rude, an indifferant, " its not a big deal " was what they told the veteran, TWICE, , a serious attutude problem, uncareing about the health problem of the veteran.

Ripped off on Prescription
I noticed that Walgreens gave my mother a 30 day supply of Metoprolol ER Succinate 500 mg tablets, but charged her for a 90 day supply. The vial, which the pills were in couldn't possibly hold 90 tablets. When I showed the vial to the pharmacist, he actually tried fitting 90 tablets in it, but it was impossible. He basically told me that he'd look into the matter and blew me off. Since they charged my mother's insurance company for another 90 day supply, I'm going to file a complaint on her behalf with the State of New Jersey on the matter. I realize that people are human and make mistakes. However, since a national company like Walgreens fills people's prescriptions, they should have some kind of system implemented in place to avoid errors like this, but either they don't or their method of quality control filling prescriptions isn't up to snuff. If something like can happen, I'm wondering how many elderly people they rip off or kill a year with such incompetence.

wrong drug rude personal
I was given a hep A vaccine for a child twice, and both times had to return some distance from the drug store to replace with correct drug. They told my doctor to just give me twice as much but he said NOOOO!!! Last time I was told it was my fault so I never received the vaccine.I have over 50 miles in this problem alone and my life could be in danger untill I recieve this vaccine...Then I Was told my doctor never called in a scrip refill, when I would call the doc he would assure me I was being run around by walgreens. The girl who waited on me was rude as always. I have been given the wrong drug several times and when you get home they will not return it so I had to pay again for the right drug!!! I could go on and on but just do not go thru this maddening situation and go to another pharmacy. Steer clear of the Walgreens on Gatlinand Savage and Port st Lucie and Tulip. They could kill you.
