Discontinued Items
It's very frustrating to shop at Walgreens. In the past 6 months, they have discontinued six items that I purchase on a regular basis. They also don't have "sale" items in stock. Management has tried to tell me that there were a lot of customers who already came in and bought up all of the _____________ name the item, but I've been told by varoius cashiers that they had been out of those items for awhile.

I read online that they're removing a lot of their inventory and will be focusing on carrying more electronics and food. For other items, they want people to shop online at their website.

C'mon!!

survey and out of stocks
As usual the store was out of the 2 sale items I was looking for. This is such a waste as it now will require an extra trip for a one trip stop. And when I did get a rain check the clerk misrang it which I fortunately caught before leaving the parking lot. I later tried to call in for their survey on customer service and experience but was told it had already received all the surveys it needed that month and its just the 15th of the month (?). Does this mean WAG is getting overloaded with complaints, dissatisfied customers of survey responders?

Transfer
I have been with Walgreens since April of 1999. I am a loyal employee and will drop what I am doing to go to work. About 2 months ago, I was transferred to store 4123 without being asked. They were short 6 technicians at the time. One technician is in the military, one technician quit, and 4 where on maternity leave. Five out of six are back and there was an agreement that once they came back, I could be transferred back to my store 4586. Now that the time has come for me to transfer, my district manager, Greg Baker, is now saying there was no agreement and that I have to stay at 4123. I have made it clear that I do not want to stay, and I am willing to go to a different store. I believe that he is treating me unfairly and needs to be confronted with this situation. He is going back on his word and I dont appreciate that.

Sales Tax on Food
Walgreens charged me sales tax on a box of Cherrios and in Michigan, there is no sales tax on food. I asked the store manager if there was a systemic problem and she curtly replied that the store's systems were robust. Check your receipts!

Monthly cash sweepstakes
Walgreens has a monthly sweepstakes that says if you give feedback you can win $3, 000 cash. They have feedback crossedout and instead have "suggestion" so there is no way to enter contest. What a rip off. The receipt says "How are we doing?"...Not very good, I would say. This is an eay fix...and hasn't been corrected because you have had other complaints last year.

Pharmacy
I have my prescriptions on auto refills to be shipped to me. My refills were due several days ago and have not arrived. The individual store, customer service and the warehouse do not know what happened to my order, except that it was filled over a week ago and my credit card was charged. They have no record of CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES being shipped. They also have no communication between each other and keep giving me the run around with different phone numbers I have to call. They won't do anything to help me and won't let me pick my prescriptions up in the store because their "computers" say it was already filled. I am definitely switching pharmacies after this latest fiasco. They are unprofessional idiots that probably graduated last in their class, it's amazing some of them are actually pharmacists!

I work at a 24 hour store I came into my shift and all the registers were downl, So great I had to ring everything up with a calculator adding tax. Then to make matters worse the talzon which was used to get the price of the items system went down. So I had to run and get the price for each item. To make matters worse its Saturday and realy busy. When does it get rediculous that we can't close the store down intill the problem is fixed? The customers were getting annoyed from waiting for me to get the price of each item. Also that they couldnt use their debit/credit card. Couldnt they have just left the pharmacy drive thrue open. I was told they also do this during a black out. Would they do this during a war, hurricane, tornado, too? just saying. The problem didn't get fixed till 9 hours later so I had to deal with that all night and customers being annoyed. Theres a time when you just have to close the doors. The manager was giving me attitude over it all night when it wasnt my fault and the pharmacist threaten to leave if I didnt ring up in the pharmacy. Im the one ringing and running to check the prices why are they complaining.

no o/l contact feedback listing
like everyone else I go to Walgreens almost daily and am given a receipt that indicates their o/l feedback site.
There no longer is a feedback/survey site so the alternative is to call the number on the receipt and when you do they say that the survey is over. If so, why keep having receipts that ask that you take the survey. Duh!

i wireless card
I purchased a $20 i wireless card from Walgreens 8/16/2010 6:24pm. First time I stopped there to purchase my i wireless card. I got home 15 minutes later. I called i wireless, as I have 100s of time before, to load my cell phone but this was the first time I was told the pin number from the i wireless card I just bought had already been redeemed!! It was apparently stolen at the point of sale. Walgreens is either irresponsible & guilty of failing to secure their transactions at point of sale or they are purposely stealing. They lost all my family's business. We pulled all of our prescriptions and sent them to another pharmacy. They lost more than the $20 they stole.
