No Importance to In Person Customers
I waited there for getting my prescription almost around 1 hour but didn't get it. The lady pharmacists was giving priority to all phone callers and keep talking with them without giving any attention to customers who standing in the Store and waiting for their turn.

I entered into the store around 9:50-10 PM on Apr 7, 2011 and came out around 11-11:10 PM. After waiting so long, I requested the lady to return my prescription and she said ok take it back. She even didn't said, what happened and I can give your medicines. She was more interested in talking with people and let other customers standing in the queue.

At last, I went to Bartell Drugs and filled my prescription in 20-25 minutes only.

Wrong Prescription
After refilling a prescription, I saw that there were two different pills in my bottle. One was the muscle relaxant I was familiar with, the other was larger and a different color. My husband took the bottle back immediately. The pharmacy manager told my husband that it was a different generic for my prescription and that is was safe to take. I had looked it up online and it appeared to be a drug for diabetes (which I don't have), but figured I should trust my pharmacist rather than the internet. After a week they called and asked us to bring the bottle back, saying they would refill it with all the same pills. They told me I could be experiencing low blood sugar, and dizziness. (Later I was able to confirm with a different pharmacy that they were Metformin, not my prescribed Metaxalone) The phamacist kept saying these things happen, and they are doing their best. I had taken a few of the wrong pills and was very sick for 3 days. I complained to the corporate office but haven't heard anything so far.

Wrong pricing
I am getting SO tired of Walgreens not giving me the sales price. It happens all the time. Ordinarily I check the price, but today I didn't. Stupid me. I paid $45 for allergy meds on sale for $38. That's too much to ignore, so I'll have to return to the store, face another surly clerk, and try to get the refund. Makes me sick to think about it.

On another note, a Twin Cities t.v. station recently compared med prices throughout the area. The highest: Walgreens. By a long shot! (Costco was gen'ly the best). Walgreen's explanation: they have some kind of special pricing for "members." But they don't tell anyone about this; it's a secret.

grouchy pharmacist
I left Rite Aid for prescriptions when a new Walgreens came to town. I left Rite Aid because of a rude, mean pharmacist. Walgreens also has a rude pharmacist. Why do people chose careers working around others when they are obviously so miserable being around other people. Please chose a career where u can work alone, since you can't treat your customers with respect and a smile. Go be a damn grouch on your own time.

Racist
I have been to this WALGREENS four times. All four they have been rude and tried to charge for medications my insurance pays for.i seem to get one tech all the time. which seems to be very rude. i was over charged and was told that my insurance would not pay for the perscription and i could pay for it myself. which i did not pay for it we went to Family Dollar and only payed only $2.13 when walgreens tried to get $4.75 from us. I want to warn people not to go to this walgreens because these people are racist. Another time i tried to get medication it took me two hours to get it. We will never use Walgreens again for anything. We complained to the corporate office and they did nothing. They appear to be trying to make a quick buck on questionable medical practices.

parking
I am a regular shopper at walgreens but never again, I parked at their store on eastern avenue and was towed. The towing signs where small and infrequent, I had only been there at the most 30 mins and they have the car towed, the car park was nearly empty. The store must spend all their time watching for cars.It cost $300 to get my car back.I can understand your policy if the car park was full, which it never is, or my car had been parked there for more than 1 hour.I will never spend a dime at Walgreens again and will tell everyone who will listens about your petty towing policy.

customer service
store 4771 w Ashlan ave, Fresno ca: If you are looking for poor customer service visit this Walgreens .It is a half of a mile from my home but each visit is such a unpleasant experience . You are not acknowledge or thanked for your for business. The employees and management are rude.Yesterday was a final straw for me. This store is located on the out skirt of town, While checking out a young teen asked the clerk for four singles and four quarters to ride the bus home. She turned to a manager and ask if it was okay? The answer was no.He needed to make a purchase.I had expressed that it was rude and was told that the store had just enough money on hand to service customers. My response if you can't break a five lock the door.I drive three miles to take my business to the the marks and Ashlan store. They treat you as if their only job is to assist the customer buying or not!

RX Issues EVERY time
Every month, twice a month, I have to fill 8 prescriptions. These are the SAME medications I have taken for years with the exception of 2 that were started about 6 months ago if that. Needless to say, there ALWAYS has to be an issue with at least one or more...

Since I fill 5 of them mid-month and 3 of them at the end of the month, you would think that it would be pretty cut & dry. Well, not with Walgreens. The ONLY REASON I started going to Walgreens was due to my local "mom & pop" store not being able to carry 3 of the RX's due to the cost and strength. They're expensive, they do not stock it, and it takes about 3-5 days for them to get them. SO, with reluctance, I moved everything over to Walgreens. As of today, they're all MOVED BACK and I'll wait the 3-5 days - will just ensure I get the RX's ordered ahead of time and get paper RX's earlier if need be.

At any rate, the whole "ordeal" is over the inability to properly get Medicaid to authorize the claim. 3 or 4 medications need PA's (Prior Authorizations) and as a customer, I should NOT have to help them know which codes go where; however I've had to deal with it so much, I've "learned". Then there is the issue of NEVER having the right amount. For 2 of these medications, you can either get the partial fill and lose the rest or have to hunt down another store that has the full amount. Generally, the tech/pharmacist must call at least 5 other Walgreens to find out which one A) Has it, B) Has enough, and C) Provide instructions on "how" to get the claim to go through.

Then, I will arrive at the location that has it, and I can barely walk as-is even with my cane at age 33 but I have to come in since heaven-forbid I "hold" the Drive-Thru lane. They have the EVERY MONTH issue with getting it to process, and I offer my help to her and get snapped at to "You don't work here, I do, and I know what I'm doing so let me figure it out somehow." I state that I have dealt with and will continue to deal with this EVERY month, this isn't about "working here or not", it's about me HELPING YOU to make YOUR JOB EASIER!! Oh no no no - cannot have ANY of that. SO - a struggling away she goes until I'm told it is NOT covered as "too soon". Really? It couldn't possibly be too soon given a NEW paper prescription is required EACH time and it is now the 30th day on a 30 day supply. Then I'm told I 'just filled it today' - again, obviously not, but you don't want nor need my help right?? She still keeps stating it was filled today - so I asked her "Where might I have filled the SAME RX that is in your hands?" and she snaps back with you filled it (paused); ummm; OK this don't make sense as it says you just filled it here - I must've gotten all messed up with you talking".. NOW I find it a bit comical.

I tell her that she's obviously "started" the claim, it's now in "suspense" as it is waiting for the Pharmacist to clear-out the alert(s) and/or to apply the PA (Prior Authorization), and here comes the "looks" again - only THIS time, they're looks of "ahhh I think this customer may be on to something"... She begins to digress and "sort-of" apologizes by saying "Oh yeah yeah yeah I see I see what you were talking about with that PA # and all that... Now I gotta call Medicaid to clear it and then I can re-do it again". I started to say "If you have not sent the" - and that's when I got cut-off AGAIN and bi-polar woman turned back into evil-pharmacist!!! And here I thought I made some headway...

No longer, every month, will I have to deal with attempting to drive long distances (hard to drive as-is due to all the physical issues), no longer have to deal with "the looks" over the type(s) of medications, be lied to about insurance not covering a 30-day supply medication until the 32nd day (since they can't do basic math with the 31-day months - LOL), no longer will I have to be subjected to rude people who do NOT want advice from one who has the answers since EVERY month I have to deal with the same issues and have learned "how" to get it to work.

MOST importantly, I am once again able to support an 80 year old family-business, that has been struggling, with around $7, 000 in Prescriptions a month!! That "3-5 day wait" is worth keeping a family-business 'in business' as being known by my NAME, what I NEED, filled automatically when it's time since they look everyday as to "who is getting close", be called when it's ready, or even have them delivered at NO CHARGE!! I will no longer be looked at as an irritation, idiot, number, or worse, a 'drug-seeker' due to 3 of the medications I am on..

Funny though that between my $7, 000 in medications and the rest of my family who is ALSO leaving Walgreens, close to $20, 000 in meds are now OFF their revenue! That's fine though - we have to keep our Small Businesses alive instead of letting the corporate capitalist chains take over.

long red haired employee rude and inappropriate
I was waiting on a script for an hour and went outside to sit and read a newspaper. This employee came out and demanded that I leave, that I looked bad sitting there. I was wearing a Ralph Lauren button down with a wool blazer. He, however, was wearing his extremely long hair unrestrained, in an old t-shirt and worn out baggy jeans. I looked much better than he. I informed him that I was a customer waiting on a script for an hour. He never apologized; but insisted that I leave. I went to the pharmacy where he was checking to see if I was telling the truth. Even after, he said "I thought you were a homeless person". I will not repeat all he said to me; but he was discriminating against me for having a cane and a disability. I usually bring a rolling case to transport my items since I am disabled. He told me it looked bad as well. To my dismay, I discover today that he still works there. He refused to tell me his name then because he knew his behavior was wrong and that I was trying to maker an official complaint. I hope this is official enough. Walgreens can do better. Maybe, if he had no job, he would be more understanding towards the homeless. No one should be treated that way, homeless or otherwise. I assure you that my rents and house payments far exceed his entire living expenses. He should not be allowed to work with people at all. Keep him in the back and out of the way, please, if you keep him there at all.

5901 NW 122nd, Oklahoma City. AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS!!!
I recently came across a brochure regarding Walgreens Photo Recovery Service, so I gave them a defective memory card, with the hope that the 60 or so pictures I had taken could possible be recovered from it. Promise time was two weeks, and several days after that had passed I still hadn't received the order. I inquired several times in person and over the phone, to no avail. Finally a MANAGER called me back and said my order was never shipped out, but accidentally THROWN AWAY!!! I mean, how does a MANAGER not know the difference between a customer's photo order and the trash??? It defies belief! While I would have been disappointed if the order was processed and the photos were not retrievable, I would have understood and thanked them for trying. Instead, due to the blatant carelessness of this manager, not only do I not have the photos but I no longer have the memory card either. Do not under any circumstances trust this location's photo department for ANYTHING. I learned the hard way and they're never getting a second chance. Let me also add that it was indeed the Manager who threw my order in the trash; he admitted it on the phone message and I still have it stored in my cell phone to prove it (apparently it was in a box for UPS and ready to be shipped to the lab but somehow "got mixed in with boxes being taken to the dumpster"). I also spoke to the District Manager and gave him an earful as well. They kept asking me what they could do to make it right, but how can you possibly replace something that's virtually irreplacable? Rest assured any further attempts by them to regain my trust will fall on deaf ears.
