inconsistent coupon policy
Walgreens needs to print and distribute their coupon policy to ALL of their stores, distric managers, store managers, employees, post in all employee breakrooms, on their website, and have copies available in stores and/or on the internet for consumers.
They are inconsistent with stating what the coupon policy is.
I am WEARY of being told by one cashier that I can't use a coupon or more than one register reward, etc. and then literally the next day being told by that same cashier or another something totally different. They keep giving me the excuse that the policy has changed! I have called Walgreens customer service so that I can find out for myself just what the coupon policy states, and have been told that an area manager would call back, but does not.
I am not trying to abuse coupon usage, and I would welcome a copy of the coupon policy so that I am on the same page as the cashier, store manager, etc.
How can I plan my shopping list for a store when I NEVER know if I can actually use a coupon or not when it is time to check out? I can go to Walmart or other drug stores such as CVS and Rite-Aid and know exactly what coupons I can use because they are CONSISTANT with their coupon policies. It really can be very simple.
WALGREENS! PLEASE PUBLISH A COUPON POLICY!!!

prescription
It was brought to my attention that my mother received a presciption 2/18/09 for avelox 400mg. When she read your information sheets she discovered that due to her medications she is on as known by her records at the store should not be taking it. The store was called to explain the conflict with the medication causing life threatning problems she was told if you walk out the door with a drug it is yours live with it. I thought walgeens advertises that you protect this from happening to your customers. Due to their lack of follow thru it cost my mother who is 87 years old and can not afford 74.80 and her finances are low. Her address is Bernice Rainey 160 N. mediterrean Blvd Port St Lucie Florida 33452. Hopfully you can help her out due to the giving her the scrip that could of killed her.

horrible job
I use to work for walgreens and its really a bad company to work for. if you call in sick once you get in trouble, even if you break your arm, they still get mad. you cant take holdays off, you are required to work christmas or they might fire you. the company has been around for over 10o years and they have no clue what they are doing. you get an hour of overtime and its the end of the world. but the ceo is making his millions. i know many companies are like this, but people think walgreens is so great. ha!! I was a manager for many years and i dont recomend it. you pay a cashier $8 an hour to clean toliets. and clean up many other sick things.

Bad customer service
I am very upset with my recent visit to Walgreens pharmacy. I had an RX transfered to walgreens from cvs this week for my husband. I went and dropped off my insurance cards, and when I gave the lady my insurance cards she said the medication that I was to pick up was not covered. This is not true, I called my insurance company and there had not even been an authorization for this anywhere. So I had to call back and speak with the pharmacist. She said they never even put in my info and just ran the last card they had listed. She said sorry and everything was ok.
I went to pick up my rx that night. The lady was rude, and told me that I could not use my 25.00 free gift card coupon for this transfered rx because it was a new rx. What does it matter, I transfered it from cvs to walgreens and you are getting the business. I always use cvs and I think I am begining to understand why I do that now.

Pricing
Had a prescription filled and it was 22.00. Got home thinking that was a bit high so checked Wal-Mart and Kroger...both 4.00 over 5x higher at Walgreens. I thought it was a mistake, but no...called got a rude punk, who said " we don't have a 4.00 plan". Can't imagine why anyone would ever use them...I never will again.

rx services
Left prescription for my 2 year old daughter for 3 medications, all respiratory related, 2 for breathing treatments. Was told it would be an hour. Went back in an hour and was told that they were out of two of the three medications and wouldn't have them for at least another day. Had to have the scripts sent to another pharmancy and ended up having to wait 2 hours longer but at least got the meds.
Left rx for two of my children at walgreens, one for each child, same med, antibiotic. Was told it would be 45 min to one hour. Went back an hour later. They only ran insurance on one child, had to wait for them to run on other (15 min) then had to wait another 10 min for meds. Got home and had two rx for one child and none for the other. After pharmacy was closed. Had to call 24 hour pharmacy to find out what to do with liquid med. They put same childs name on both meds, put dosage information for pill form on liquid antibiotic bottle. Charged my insurance $170.00 more for liquid med., same med as pill form. I returned med that was labeled wrong, they didn't have any idea what happened. Had to wait another 30 min for rx refill.
Rediculous and DANGEROUS!!! Had I not been paying attention, I could have given my child a dangerous dose of wrong med!!! Makes me wonder how many other people this has happened to!!!

service
I had my dog with me for a walk and they would not let me pick-up my prescription at the drive thru.
Said it is for drive thru only, and they would be liable if I got hurt.
Would they be liable if I got hurt in there parking lot?
they would not let me in the store with my dog.
I am not leaving hinm outside.
What if the dog is stolen, is walgreen liable then?
They give dog treats at the window if you are in a car, what if the dog get sick from their treats?
Who do I contact?

Scam and cheating
I am a 23-year-old single mother to a 3-year-old boy who I am raising by myself, with no help from his father. I have worked very hard the past years to stay off the welfare rolls, to work hard, and support my son and myself without government assistance.
In the almost 3 years I worked for Walgreens, I was promoted 5 times. I started out as a front cashier who worked 4 hours a week, and by the time I was fired last week, I was a Senior Certified Pharmacy Technician. In the time that I worked for the company, I didn't have any major problems with them. I worked hard, as my promotions demonstrated, and I still have lifelong friends throughout the stores I worked in, ranging from cashiers and photo clerks to pharmacists and pharmacy managers. All have vouched for my character in this incident.
Last Thursday a loss prevention employee came in, took me into a room where I sat alone with her for 2 hours, and told me I was a thief. Despite the fact that I've had access to powerful and valuable narcotics all this time, and I've NEVER been accused of any sort of theft, she tried to nail me for supposedly stealing a box of cheap (not even $10) hair color.
She grilled me for 2 hours. She didn't ask if I had stolen. She told me that I had. She said if I couldn't provide her with the reciept from the purchase (which was a month prior to this), then that was proof enough. I mentioned that the burden of proof IS on the accuser. She refused to show me the videotapes that supposedly had evidence of my theft. She refused to show me any evidence at all. She simply came in, told me I was a thief, disregarded everything I said, offered me no recourse, and had me fired.
I asked her why I would risk my job for a box of hair color when I have a young child to support. I told her to ask anyone in either store I'd worked in if I'd ever commit such a crime. She ignored me, and when I wouldn't leave the store without being provided with proof of my crime, she called the police and had me escorted off the property. I was given a trespassing notice and told that I am not allowed on the property of ANY Walgreens in the nation. She lied to the police, said that I'd threatened to hit her and was breaking objects in the pharmacy.
When I called corporate, they also refused to provide me with the videotapes, and would not respond when I asked if it was legal for them to put theft on my record when they had no proof whatsoever. They said they would not discuss that issue with me.
I am now unemployed, and my son and I have lost our health insurance. I have also been humiliated in front of my friends and coworkers, first by being escorted out by police, and then, as if that weren't enough, loss prevention emailed every store in the state telling them that I was no longer allowed on any property of Walgreens, that I am potentially violent, and that local police are to be contacted should I come into any store.
Every employee I've spoken to (I am close to almost all of them) has backed me, and knows that this is bizarre and I was obviously 'framed.' I've already had several employees report to me that they've experience similar accusations, though theirs didn't end in termination. Several also knew individuals who WERE terminated for similar accusations that were also now proven. This is obviously a problem with Walgreens.
I, too, am seeking legal counsel and will fight this until the end. I would appreciate any help whatsoever - media attention, calls to the corporate office (phone number 1-847-940-2500) and the store which this took place in (listed above), letters, emails, legal assistance, and boycotts.
