website feedback /#3,000.00 cash sweepstakes
I have in the past used Walgreens " HOW ARE WE DOING"? questionnaire. I had no problems finding /using the websitewww.walgreens/feedback.com. in the past. Unfortunately, in the last few months (or longer) I can't access the website Walgreens gives to rate how your vist to Walgreens was. For your time they enter you into their monthly $3, 000.00 cash prize sweepstakes.

Short on Medication
yesterday I filled my pain pills with my hometown walgreens as I always do every month. When I recieved my medication I loked at the bottle and thought to myself, that doesnt look full enough, It was 2:30pm and I had to be back in troy tenn. by 2:40 to get my child out of school so I lfet and decided as soon as I could park at the school I would count them. I got to my childs school, counted them, and sure enough I was missing 10 pain pills. when i called the walgreens they said it wsnt their prob. because once you leave the store they can account for them. They offfered me back $4.50 for the 10 missing pills and said they would refill them 3 days early for my incoveince. This is not acceptable. Someone stole my prescription medication, and this is illegal and despicable. They wanted to make me feel like the mistake was made or my behalf when I KNOW it was not. I am not stopping untill something is done. Ive called the corporate office twice & a new investigation has been started. I hope they will get to the bottom of this. They said a order was made to watch the surveliece video and I hope they find out the truth. I hope it was caught on tape and they fire whoever had something to do with this. You shouldnt have to count them before you leave, you trust a pharmacy and believe they will do you right. I have a bran new prescription that should be filled up to the top of the bottle, and instead it looks like Ive had this bottle for a week now. This is not right under any circustances.

Manager
The Walgreens Store in Aransas Pass, Texas, has a female manager that is in serious need of sensitivity training. The way she speaks to customers and her employees is rude and embarrassing.
If I need help in the store and an employee says they are going to call a manager, I ask will it be the "snippy" lady. Every employee ALWAYS knows who I am speaking about. That is an indication of her reputation with employees. It is amazing to me that Walgreens would employee someone with the type of attitude this person has.

Bad Customer Service
I went to get my high blood pressure medication prescription filled and was told that the pharmacists and persons working in the pharmacy were too busy to help me. I was down to only one pill and this is detrimental to my health to not help me. I changed over my health insurance coverage and had not received my new card yet when I went to fill my prescription. I tried to give them all of my information but was told that they did not have time to call and verify my information, and to come back in 2 hours. I can understand if the persons in the pharmacy were busy but they were not courteous when informing me of how they could not help me for at least 2 hours. Customer service is a major aspect of working to serve the public and this was not shown with my experience.

over reacting
Ive been employeed at walgreens for over 5yrs and on Sept. 14 I found my uncle passed away due to a drunk driving accident he caused. I was in shock and depressed when we were told what had happened; from then i just wanted to stay away from alcohol and not drink at all So i then went to look for AA meetings to see what it was all about; i also asked walgreens management if walgreens could recommend any other places to go they told me yes. So i said i was intrested in going well BIG MISTAKE they made me go on disalbility for 3months to get treatment, they made me go to AA meetings 3times a week, they made me drive 2hours to a rehab. clinic twice a week omg it was so over done THEY MADE IT SEEM AS IF I WAS CAUGHT DRUNK AT WRK OF FAILED A ALCOHOL TEST i wasnt an alcoholic. I just wanted to stay away from alochol for good i mean ive never called in sick never been late to wrk it was just on my personal time i didnt want to go out and drink and now i had to drop out of college because after the 3months i was able to go back to work so im working full time and WAS going to school full time also But then i get a letter from walgreens stating i have to call a 1800 number every day for one year to see if i get tested for drugs and alcohol i have to keep attending aa meetings and still keep going to the rehab twice a week and to top it off i will be monitored for 5yrs stupid so i had to drop out of college to take care of this and they say walgreens wants its best for its employees yeah right besides that alot of management say why are they over doing it with me because it had nothing do to with wrk didnt get caught drunk at wrk didnt show up drunk or with a hangover didnt fail a random test IT WAS JUST CAUSE I WANTED INFO FOR MYSELF to top it off the guy who evaluated me got offened because i told him how could he evaluate me if he just finished telling me his son is an alcoholic and he kicked him out what makes him think he can help anyone if he couldnt help his own son and took the easy way out by kicking him out. i dont know but im so pissed off cause of walgreens i lost a chance to further my education and yeah the reason i say cause of walgreens because i pay for my classes 390 a month dont get financial aid or any help so i NEED to keep working to pay my school my advise to any one THOSE SIGNS THEY HAVE IN OUR BREAKROOM IF YOU ARE A WALGREENS EMPLOYEE AND YOU THINK YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ALCOHOL OR DRUGS WE CAN HELP OR IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS CALL 1800BLAHBLAH" YOU BETTER MAKE SURE YOU DO HAVE A PROBLEM because if you just call for infomation they will automatically label you as an ALCOHOLIC and if you dont follow these "POLICIES" THEY HAVE, YOU ARE FIRED !!!

wrong medication and shortage of medication
On Friday, Jan 8th, 2010, my husband, Mark Ullenberg, picked up a prescription from Walgreens that had been mishandled for 3 days by either Walgreens or this Doctor, Dr. Thomas Reiners. Dr Reiners was faxing 3 medications to Walgreens for refills. Walgreens only refilled 2 of the medications saying that the one had been denied by Dr. Patel. But Dr. Patel was not the prescribing Dr. (although Dr. Patel had prescribed this drug in the past but referred us to Dr. Reiners to refill it). We called the Dr. Reiners office a couple days later, as my husband didn't know why this prescription was denied and by whom, and told Dr. Reiners that Walgreens had said it was denied and that they didn't an order from him for the 3rd prescription. Again Dr. Reiners office faxed the prescription for the alprazolam XR 2mg. When we arrived at Walgreens they said they did not get the order, so they called Dr. Reiner's office but the Dr. was not in and we had to leave. We called Dr. Reiner's office the next morning and they said they had faxed it and they would again try for the 3rd time. They asked me to call Walgreens 10 mins later to confirm that they had received the fax. I did and they had. My husband picked up the prescription, came home, and took the medication. Within 10 minutes he became very woozy and somewhat disoriented and had trouble walking. About 1/2 hour later, about 12:30pm, he laid down and fell sound asleep. I let him sleep until 5 o'clock, at which time I had a very hard time waking him. He tried to sit up and was very disoriented so I had him try and stand thinking he was just sleepy. He could not stand and fell back on the sofa. We tried this a few times over the next few minutes but no success and he immediately kept falling asleep after each attempt. I knew something was wrong, so I asked him how much he took. He could barely talk and not coherently and he could not remember how much he took...he thought maybe one or 2 at most. So I decided to count the pills and it's then that I noticed the pills were not the ones he had taken before. Also, there were only 25 pills in the bottle and not 30. (This miscount has happened to us before with Walgreens with other medications). So I called Walgreens and asked them what this medication was. The pharmacist told me it was not the right prescription. She had filled his prescription for Alprazalom 2mg and not Alprazalom XR 2mg. My husband had never taken this before. I informed the pharmacist of his condition and she said she was sorry for the mistake, but that it was "human error". I asked her what to do and she said if I wanted I could take him to either Urgent Care or the Emergency Room. I told her we did not have insurance and this was their responsibility for the error. She told me that I would have to talk to the Manager of Walgreens to see "if" they would compensate us for Urgent Care of the Hospital. The Manager was not in and she said she would leave a message for her to call me the next day. She just apologized and didn't give me any answer as to how to take care of my husband further but said she would refill the prescription that was ordered. I asked her when this wore off if I should give him his correct medication and she said she didn't know. I also asked her how long the effects of this medication would last and she responded that she didn't know and that the Urgent Care could help me with that. It was too late to call our physician, Dr. Reiners, so I called my husband's therapist and he too suggested my husband go to urgent care. My husband did not want to go, but was not comprehending that he had taken the wrong medication. A friend of ours happened to call while this was going on and he knew of a pharmacist who he could call. We were not able to talk to him, but this friends wife works at a Mental Health facility as a RN and knew of the affects of this drug. She told me to keep monitoring his vital signs, and that if he remained stable he could stay home. I spent the whole night awake monitoring him every 2 hours. My husband slept till 8:30 am today. A full 20 hours later. His therapist and the RN both called me early this morning to check up on my husband's condition. As of this writing, 1pm today, the Walgreens manager has not called me.
Respectfully submitted, Maureen Ullenberg

Lost Prescription Refill
I brought a refill prescription bottle back to the pharmacy during the time when this drugstore was very backed up during the time when they were giving flu shots. The pharmacy technician was on the computer and just glanced at me and said "Is this a refill?" I said yes and went about my business in the store. When I came back to get the prescription, they told me there was no prescription and no record of me ever having been there, or requesting a refill. The person I dealt with was the same person who originally took the bottle from me. The flu shot program has also caused prescriptions to be delayed in filling them. At one point they told me it would be about twenty minutes and it was well over 45 minutes. Perhaps during the flu shot program, they should employ extra help to cover the added influx of customers coming in for the flu shot, so that the regular pharmacy customers will not have to wait or have their prescriptions lost!

advertise prices
advertised $10.00 store coupon off of their Nicotine Lozenges. When I tried to purchase product they said it was a $10.00 register reward not a coupon off. This not what the advertised paper stated. Did not buy the product.
