suspended after 22 years
i work for walgreens for 22 years and i got suspended over sending a text message to someone i said somethiings i shouldnt have but ive been on suspencion for 4 weeks now every time i call my boss tells me hes waiting for someone to call him back it seems every time i call him he gives me the run around and im tired he wont tell me if im fired or if i still have a job i wish he would let me know so i know if i can go on unemployment or not i have no money and i want to know will you be able to help me?

Terrible customer service
I made my first trip to my local walgreens and was very disappointed. Not only did I not find what I was looking for, no one asked if I needed help. And there was no shortage of employees. After I had wandered around for a while, I walked by an aisle and saw at least four employees, standing around and just chatting. I stared at them for a second and went to the next aisle. I heard them saying, "oh we better get going." Once they disbanded I thought for sure one of them would help me. I was wrong. I walked out without buying anything. I will never shop at Walgreens again till they figure out how to treat their customers.

Medication available
I have been using Walgreens Pharmacy at 1860 Veterans Memorial Highway, Islandia NY for the past eight months. Over the last three or four months, when I bring in the prescriptions to be filled, the medication is not available. I find myself going to two different pharmacies to get the medication meeded. The medication I am referreing to is Mylan Fentanyl Transdermal System 50 mcg/hr, morphine sulfate cr 15 mg and 30mg. I have spoken to the people at the store, however, I am not seeing any results.
I switched from CVS to Walgreens because they assured me I would not have this problem, (I had the same problem at CVS) but apparently that was untrue - if possible please try to correct this situation.

Pharmacy
DO NOT let Walgreens tell you "we are short a few pills" They will make you repay your insurance deductible. I had an order for the Polk St. Walgreens. They were short three pills--I ended up flying home before they had the remainer of my prescription Guess what, they wanted me to pay my co-pay again for the remainder three pills. I paid the full co-pay the first time for my particial order.
DO NOT BELIEVE them when they say "oh just go into your local pharmacy when you get home and they'll get you the remaining pills--yes they will but you'll be out another co-pay much less the hassle with driving back to pick up drugs.
Numerous talks with both the manager on Polk St. San Fran. Walgreens and the Lexington MN Walgreens both resulted in the same thing--NO, we will charge you despite it BEING their fault. IF they can't fill completely then go to another pharmacy and you'll save the headache and money.

medication
Dropped a perscription off at 11;ooam went back later was told i already picked it up! no i said ck your sig. book . they ckd no you did not pick up ok gave me script i got home ckd the script and they gave me 12 pills instead of 60 i called and they gave me a hard time told me it was right ! i said read it again it is take 1 every 12 hrs. not 12 quanity!! your right they say come in and get the rest i go in get the right amt. pay for them gave them another script to fill that they mail to your home . they say it will be delivered tuesday it is a next day delivery always i said mon. is exceptable but not tues. ok she says i had to tell her we pay today oh thanks they said ok now i go to pay she says 150.00 no it is never that high ck again! she does comes back and says oh its 30.00 much more like it wouldnt you say!! someone needs to check on those people working that pharmacy today!! there were other people having just as hard a time as me!! 1 woman dropped her persc. off at 1;00 came in at 8;00 and was told she had to wait another 30 min. unacceptable!!! please have someone ck. on them before they give someone the wrong meds. or short an elderly person who will run short before end of time!!! thank you

unfair employee
I watched Oprah. She said Walgreens would do free glucose testing. I called first to find out which Walgreens near me was doing it. I had to call three of them before finding one 20 miles away that said they were. I ask if I needed an appointment and the person on the phone said no, just walk in. So I left my home for the 20 mile trip and when I got there at 9:45AM, I was informed they only do it from 11AM until 2PM. Well, why didn't the person on the phone tell me this when I ask about an appointment? I could not wait until 11:00. I had to be home by 11:00 because of another commitment, so therefore, I just made a 40 mile round trip for nothing because of an unfair employee who could have told me the hours when I called. How rude!c

employee rudeness
There is an older man with a full head of white hair and a full white beard working in the pharmacy dept. of this store. We tried the drive thru yesterday and the man was nasty and sarcastic to my mother. He got her so aggrivated we had to go into the store to straighten out the drug order. When we went into the pharmacy and my mother said "I am sorry but you are mistaken I do not pay co pays, my medicine is free and has been for the last couple of years" The man said "I didn't say that lady, I said you have a co payment and if you don't want the medicine that is your problem with the insurance company not me" My mother stood there
ready to cry since this man was rude.She told him he needn't be rude to her and he continued to tell my mother who is 77 that she did not know what she was talking about. When she asked for another person to take care of her, he walked away and totally ignored her. I went up to the counter and asked for the manager, well it seems the manager did not admit to being there and I had to take my mom out of the store before this man made here cry more. She was shaking. I advised my mom to use another drug store, but unfortunately she cannot go driving all over town to another walgreens. I would like this man reprimanded or sent to another store where people will appreciate his nasty mouth and lousy attitude.

rude employee and racism
I visit this walgreens regulary, overall the employees arenot friendly includind the Male manager last name Havlik i believe, however Cindy who is a manger also is always pleasant, on thursday february 4th, 2010 i entered this store and i asked the person at fron t register to please call someone to unlock the crest white strips..and so she did her name was Dianna, so once i reached the section where the crest white strips were i stood and waited for an employee, employee by the name of Linda showed up but decide to help a white woman instead of me and left me standing by the counter ..i said to her i called for you please unlock the counter so i can get whitesstrips..she replied you will have to just wait very nastily an loud!!!i'm helping the other person first it was clear she understood the call was for me...see it's the attitude of Linda tha really offended me she was rude unprofessional and not Fair...as she was helping white woman she walked right passed me she could have simply and quickly unlocked the window so i could get the strips and continued to help the elderly woman as i had stood there for at least 4 minutes and waitined I told Linda
she needed to come and unlock this section so i can get what i needed as i had been standing and I was the one to call for her, SHE REPLIED SCREAMING SINCE YOUR INA HURRY HERE GET WHAT YOU NEED!!!SHE ALMOST SLAMMED THE DOOR ON MY FINGERS AS I REACHED IN TO REMOVE THE BOX OF STRIPS. as i was leaving I saw her run to the manager...i refused to go to him and complain...I don't feel any results would have become of complaining with him as he is very unfriendly as well towards Black Americans. i will pursue this complaint as far as i can. it's clear this woman Linda has severe anger issue and racism
issue. I shop a great deal at this walgreens and plan to continue...but I will be treated fairly and respectfully as everyone of any color/race should.
The pharmacy has gotten better not reciting my name address and medicine when i go to pick up my medicine...this is a privacy issue...people hearing where you live your name and your medicine so i simply show my I.D. and i have asked them not to verbally annouce my personal business. for the most part they don't however there are few times they still do it. Hippa...does walgreens understand this and should they look at this Law and Apply it in the pharmacy area??

Shortage on prescription
My doctors (for the 1st time) prescribed my 60 Kolonapin to take twice a day. I had my orderd filled on Tuesday. THe order seemed fine and i didnt count the #. 3 days later, i took my recommended dose and noticed the pills looked short, so i counted them. I had 26 of 60 left. There is no way that i took 34 pills in two days and no one lives with me and no one has been of over. I took the bottle to the pharmacy and explained the issue but they said it was counted twice and since its a controlled substance, there wasnt anything they cand. I was told that the pharmacy manager would be back on Monday and can try to take it up with her. What can i do know? HELP!!!

Pharmacy
I have my prescriptions on automatic refills and why is it that when i go to pick up my prescriptions that they are not ready and another thing why when I drop off my prescriptions and let them know that I will be back in 2 days to pick it up they can not find my prescription and when I went to walgreens to pick up my prescriptions they charged me full prise and they were suppose to charge my insurance company. I have alot of prescriptions that need to be refilled and that is why they are on automatic refills because I can not remember them all that is why I did it in the first place. If I continue to have problems I will swich pharmacies, I would really appreciate it if would get this resolved. Thank You Terry Seth
