Stay away from Wal-Mart
I bought two cameras around 11.40 am to give to my cousin and sister in the Philippines since my friend is going back to Manila, Philippines. Since I had a lunch meeting by 12:00 pm, I did not have the cameras checked by the sales crew on duty and, to my knowledge, I could have it replaced if ever there is any damage or anything.

Around 7 pm when I got home, I had the chance to inspect the cameras. I opened the Fuji Film F10 first, and apparently it didn't have any damage on the outside body of the camera so I then inserted the battery and it was working perfectly.

Then I checked the other camera, the Canon SD200. When I checked out the camera, I noticed a lot of scratches on the corners. So I decided to return the item or ask for a replacement.

When we got to Wal-Mart, we went to the photo section and when the sales person assigned checked it out. It appears that the serial number on the box -- and the one printed in the receipt -- and the one on the camera don't match. Worse, when she turned it on, it appeared to be defective.

The sales lady then gave us the number of Canon customer service. But we insisted in our complaint since, in the first place Wal-Mart shouldn't be selling defective items. And how did it happen that the serial numbers don't match? And its just that they're just going to give me Canon's customer service phone number?

My friend advised me to buy another one just to take it to my friend who is going back home and give the cameras to my sister and cousin. Even though I feel frustrated, I bought another camera and this time it is an sd300 since there are no more sd200 in stock aside from the display item.

Yes, I purchased 3 cameras in a day. So now, what am I going to do with the defective sd200 that I just bought the same day? It is just like that -- I gave Wal-Mart $250. The manager only said 'sorry' to us.

This is really frustrating and disappointing as well. I should have given that money to the victims of the last two hurricanes. I just hope someone will take action on this.

Few problems of Wal-Mart
The floor cleaning liquid they use to clean the floors around 6 am is extremely strong -- it smells similar to Bleach. It made my nose burn and when I left the store my lungs felt slightly hot and it made me cough a few times.

I reported this complaint to a cashier since Customer Service was not open. The compact disks in the music section are completely out of order. Also, when looking at motor oil a week ago, I found a 5 quart of oil had oil all over the exterior of the container as if it had been dropped.

It could be dangerous if a child touched the container. The Customer Service line was extremely long so I didn’t make a complaint.

PRICES
BOUGHT A TUBE OF 3 TOMATOES 3 WEEKS AGO AND IT COST $1.00 TODAY, SAME AMT WAS $2.00. I THINK THAT IS A TOTAL RIP OFF. I'VE NOTICED MANY GROC ARE OUT PRICING THEMSELVES. I'VE DECIDED TO SHOP AT ALDIS INSTEAD UNTIL YOU GET GROC PRICES DOWN. I DON'T BELIEVE IT IS ALL CAUSED BU INCREADE IN FUEL. LETS GET REAL

I went to the smartstyle hair salon yesterday(030811) to get my sons hair cut, after signing in and seating ourselves the stylist came over and stated that it would be approximateley 30 minutes before she could get to us as the other stylist had left work an hour early and she was alone and dyeing someones hair. This is the third time that similar events have happened to me, on the last event the stylist stated that the office didn't take into account the influx of customers due to an extended student break from school as their work schedules are computer generated and go by the day of week rather than having a "manager" actually scheduling. This is extremely annoying and unacceptable especially considereing the prices that are charged----they ain't cheap!!! This is suppose to be a SUPER-CENTER.

I learned the hard way about Wal-Mart's exchange policy
I used the Internet to purchase a Proview 19" widescreen LCD monitor from Wal-Mart. I found out the hard way that if you purchase something online at Wal-Mart's for a good price, they have a specific policy regarding defective items.

If it is defective when it arrives, don't take it "to your nearest Walmart". You not receive an EVEN exchange.

You will be charged the difference between what the online price was and whatever the store is selling that item for.

not in stock
trying to get my peanut butter sandwitch for weeks. we have two wal-marts ion Abilene tx and neithner one has them. I drive 30 miles round trip at least twice a week to get them and they always out. I love those cookies and dont buy any other and wont. The store I shop at is 0536 and they could really ionprove the botton line if they would keep everything in stock. Not talking abot cookies but alot of other things. We can never get everything we went for because they are out. We spend between 400.00 to 600.00 a month at this store!

I am going to stop spending my hard earned money there
I even own stock in Wal-Mart, but no more. I'm going to sell my stock and stop spending my hard earned money there.

They have one check out line that sells cigarettes, but you must have less than 10 items to stand in that line.

So they want me to stand in one line for 25 minutes to pay for my groceries and then go stand another 20 minutes in another line for smokes.

That's BAD Customer service !!

20 years ago J.C Penny provided bad service and I have not shopped there in 20 years... now Walmart just lost me too... Target and Kroger will get my money.

Awful customer treatment
Customer service at Walmart...

I was in the store this morning to purchase some ammunition. I went to sporting goods and stood at the counter. Employees walked by me three times. Finally someone stopped and asked if I needed help I said I did, so he called someone on the intercom to "come to sporting goods to help a customer who has been waiting"...no one came.

Fifteen minutes later I was sick of waiting and left.

As I was walking out two gentlemen who appeared to be managers came out of another room. I approached them to express my frustrations and related the above story to them. The one gentleman shrugged and said, "sorry, that happens".

Seriously? Is Walmart such a large company that they don't really need the $300 I spent today?

I understand that losing my business isn't going to hurt Walmart, but I work in the hospitality business. That is not customer service. If I treated people like that in my restaurant I wouldn't have any customers.

Harrassing calls
I have a balance on my account and am billed eachmonth for a set amount. Economy is horrible and social security has not been been increased in over two years. Therefore, for the last two months, I have not been able to pay my full amount. I have paid the difference in a few weeks. I do not wish for someone to call me to harrass me about this. I know it is owed. I have sent letters and explained this. I will look into the harrassment charges in the future if it continues.
