Fraud
My partner and I went to a presentation and thought it was a great idea...life long vacation discounts. Instead of the two free airline tickets, we were offered an extra week per year, so we took that.
Every time i have called them for a reservation, either everything is booked or they're waiting for a call back from someone. I called for airline reservations and car rental and the price they gave me was higher than any of the other online companies. I told Melissa this and she got a major attitude and then went to Travelocity and offered to book the cheaper flight for me...WTF? I could do that myself!
I am looking at what legal action I can take and may even go down there in person to deliver my complaint.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Scam!
We attended the VIP Travel presentation in Columbia, Maryland on 3/24/08. We were promised two free airline tickets if we attended the presentation. The first thing they wanted was a photo ID and then asked for a credit card. I wasn't about to show them a credit card and they told me I couldn't attend the presentation. They then said that they just needed to see that the name on credit card was the same as mn other form of ID. I didn't have a problem with that as long as they didn't take my card number.
I attended the presentation and it was pleasant, the girl was very nice. But when I asked if we didn't want to sign up today what did we need to do and was ignored and wasn't given a answer. We then got a high pressure buy now pitch, which we declined, and didn't get any info on how to sign up later. We then got our free ticket voucher to mail out. It states that it will take a month, due to high volume, and then an additional two weeks to get dates. I then looked up the company on the website 'complaintsboard.com' and saw that this company has been scamming people all over the country under different scams from vacations to timeshares.
What I don't understand is how these people haven't been arrested and nothing is being done. We were lucky not to have given any money, but others aren't as fortunate. I cant say for a moment I wasn't tempted and could have signed up.

Not an accredited BBB company!
VIP Travel is not an accredited Better Business Bureau company. There have been 79 complaints filed against them. They use deceptive and dishonest sales practices to get people to sign contracts to become members of their travel club. The membership is in the thousands of dollars. If you are invited to attend one of their sales presentations, use caution or better yet, don't go. I've tried to get VIP to refund my money by pointing out specific dishonest and deceptive travel savings claims made in the sales presentation, and the president, Michael Mitchell, refuses to do it.

Deceptive & dishonest sales!
I caution anyone who receives an invitation to attend a sales presentation from VIP Travel to check with the BBB first. This company uses deceptive and dishonest sales and marketing practices to entice prospects to become members of its travel club. It gives examples of very attractive travel deals it says it offers its members which it says will shortly offset the membership cost which runs in the thousands of dollars. I tried four times to book something with VIP and each time the savings were non-existent. I was even told by one of their travel agents not to bother using them for air transportation and car rentals because I could do just as well going directly to the airline or rental company myself. That's definitely not what the sales guy said! I demanded my money back from Michael Mitchell, the president, and got a form letter back saying he refuses to do it. This is not a reputable company. I've never entered into an agreement before with a company I didn't know until now and I can't tell you how much I regret having done so with VIP.

Misrepresentation/No delivery
This company fails to deliver the services promised and uses very deceptive sales tactics. We signed up for $3998 because we did not need or want their condo weeks. They assured us that thye could save us money on short notice trips like weekends, and for sho0rt notice trips for a week, etc. We tried on 4 occassions to use the service and they could not deliver for any of the requests. The President of the company's attitude is that their contract is non-cancellable whether they deliver or not and too bad for you if they fail. He claims they have vitually no complaints against them though we see roughly 65 claims through the BBB recently. There sales people promises whatever they have to to get your money and the company says they are not responsible for the sales peoples promises. They have ignored our attorney's letters. This company is a scam and everyone should be aware to steer clear of this company.

Scam and cheating!
We signed up for a "vacation plan" for $7,500.00. We were not asked how much we wanted to put down. The just took out $7,596.00. We signed it and went home. We thought it was a great idea, but came home and checked it out on the web. They have so many complaints and everyone is calling it a scam. They can never get these people on the phone to plan their vacation. They offer weeks for $500.00 per week. We read the brochures when we got home and it said "from" 499...
There on the contract it stated no cancellations and this document is legal and binding. How can we get our money back? We were scammed. We are idiots. Aren't contracts suppose to have a cancellation period? We need help to fight this.
Thank you.
