Rude and incompetent customer service
I didn't want a contract with Verizon so when my phone broke I bought a prepaid and used it for six monthswith the understanding that erizon would let me move my number and phone BACK to the original family plan. The slimey rep (after getting birthdate, license number, etc) shut off the prepaid and said I have to have a two year contract. No I don't want a contract, that's why I got a new phone and dealt with a prepaid plan. So too bad, now I have no phone service at all. They lost my number and I lost all my messages. Nice going.

Renewed contract/used phones
Purchased new 2yr contract. From day 1 nothinig but one hassle after another. After 3 phones that did not work was sent a "certified like new phone" and told that was all they would do because we are past 14 days and are now under maintenance part of contract. If all previous phones did NOT work, how is this our fault?? We are being forced to accept used phones for the next 2 yrs that still do not work properly! Was told by Verizon that if we felt we needed to change carriers to go ahead and do so and they will charge us the early cancellation fees!! So much for being long standing customers!!!

Bad Customer Service/ extending the contract without my consent
Hello ! I recently called the customer service and asked to be helped with my situation and the rep was very unprofessional (Name: Merrile) she wouldn't give me her ID and she refused to transfer me to her supervisor. After being a customer of verison for almost 8 years I didnt appreciate her attitude and the way she handled the called. After she hanged up on me I cried and I couldn't belive that I had spoken to a verizon rep. I suggest you take this and seriously and may be train her so that she learns how to speak to customer.
Moreover my contract was extended without me knowing ... I think i should sue verizon...

International Texting
Was with Alltel for over 10 years. Then Verizon bought ALLTEL out last year and the problem began. Always had free international texting. My wife is from the Philippines so this was very convient. Last April we extended our ALLTEL contract to include FREE texting. In April, Verizon started charging for incoming/outgoing texts because THEY decided to change my contract. When I complained, they credited me once, then said thats all we can do. To cancel the contract, it would cost me over $600.00 (3 phones) early termination fee. Contacted my attorney, letter was sent, Verizon said, too bad, no change. But now they say they will not charge us termination fee, too late. Have contacted Senator DeMint (the best) to see if the FCC will put an end to this business practice. No other industry can get away with signing a contract, then changing it for their profit, and telling me I can't do anything about it, but pay up. I say, everyone, go to Walmart and get their phones with NO contract, unlimited phone/text/internet for less. It's time to stick it to them and teach them who really is the boss.

Customer service
Lost 50% of my hearing about 4 months ago. My phone doesn't have t4 that I need to use it as a remote for my HAs and to hear on it. I have the fascinate (m4) and not able to upgrade until next year. Nobody is willing to help me get an upgrade without paying full price! I pay over $250 a month for cell phone that I can't hear out of. Nic!

Cell service charges
I purchased two DroidX phones with a two year Verizon contract from online retailer Tigerdirect.com. The phones were advertised as being free. The purchase was made on March 17th 2011. I receive the phones on march 21st, and ported over my two numbers from T-Mobile and activeted the Verizon service. Two weeks later I recived a bill for $155, charging me for service activation, $60, and $90 for service. Verizon was charging me phone service for the dates I didn't even have the phones!! The next bill I received was for $215 -- prorated. I contacted Verizon customer service and was given the usual run-around (transfer from one department to another) with no clear answer and no resolution. Wath your bill!!!

Contract Termination Fee Charges when still a customer
My husband and I had 2 phones with Verizon and decided to cancel one of them. We canceled the older of the 2 phones and kept the new phone with them. 2 months later I get a bill for an early termination fee for Verizon because they attached the 2nd phone had swapped upgrades with the older one making the contract attached to the cancelled phone. So I'm being charged a $350 fee for terminating an enhanced device for cancelling an old handset that barely sent text messages despite the fact that the "enhanced device" is still under service with them (they closed the account with 2 phones and created a new "account" with the single phone making it even harder to trace through and just causing them to say that the contract was to the account not the device). I had one person credit back the charge to the account only to have a superviser override it later to deny the credit and just automatically bill my credit card. I haven't had any luck yet getting this resolved.

Charged for Services Not Recieved
I requested my wireless phone services be suspended. After several months they automatically turn phone back on without my consent. I did not use the phone or any services but was stilled billed. I talked to customer service supervisor and got bill adjustment down and was promised no further charges. Another month of charges was next added. I believe it is unfair and unethical to charge for services not used. I believe it is unethical to be promised no additional billing and then be continued to be billed. I talked to Verizon Recovery Department about my expanding bill and the customer supervisor promise of "no more billing" and there response was I could "court subpoena the voice recording of my conversation with the supervisor and they would honor the agreement" but otherwise the supervisor did not make notes in my file so I was liable for the additional charges.

Customer Service Run Around
This is the email I sent to Verizon Customer Service.
I would like to tell you flat out that your website and phone customer service sucks. I dropped my phone display was not working thought I better get a new one. Only 5 months left in contract. Only way to get a cheap phone is to renew early. So I go online to do upgrade. My credit card has Canadian Postal Code. I live on border and commute to states every day. So I go and get a Verizon gift card. My total due online is $24.94 and gift card had $50 on it. Enter gift card info to pay comes back asking for credit card. Online chat has no resolution. Talk to phone customer service two days in a row both conversations end in me being transfered to a department that is closed because the operating hours are over. What do I have to lose, I take phone apart per youtube video reconnect and assemble and phone works. Now it only has to last 5 months and no I don't plan on sticking with Verizon. I wasted two days trying to upgrade and renew a contract. On top of it you got rid of $64 Global Data Plan, and I here the $29.99 plan is not going to be unlimited data. And New Every Two Year is going away. Can you guys screw it up any more. Please don't call me to beg me to stay. I just wanted someone to know what was going on here. I answered you automatic customer survey and the poor agent got a horrible review that is a reflection of Verizon. Oh and I could not charge it to my account because you guys disconnected our phone because supposidly we did not pay out bill on time when we did and something screwed up in your accounting system. Thank God you service sucks because i would be stuck in another 2 year agreement right now instead I fixed my phone and October is the light at the end of my tunnel. You probably won't read this far anyway since you have so many customers so what one disgruntled one matter.

HTC Incredible
I have been experiencing Incredible issues concerning the ability to receive emails, multi repeats of deleted emails, receiving refurbished phones in worse shape than the broken one... and worse yet, finding out, that even though this phones is still under a MFG Warranty... (Direct From HTC) We sincerely apologize for the issues you've been going through.
Regretfully, our warranty/repair does not have the ability to perform any repairs or replacements with the DROID Incredible. We understand your frustration but PCD US has been selected by Verizon as their repair department. We also do not have information as to why your phone had to be replaced with a refurbishment.
We again apologize for the inconvenience in the matter.
Isn't this great... I chose this phone because I love how it is "supposed to function" ... My only option (Per VZW CSR @ 611) - REFURBISHED or a model that I did not want to begin with, or pay to replace a phone that is still under MFG Warranty. I have received multi replacements - 5 to be exact that are defective... One had a scratched camera lens, One had water damage and 3 that will not receive emails properly. How do I get this issue resolved ????
