Scam don't pay bill
My husband recieved a letter from AFNI collections stating thet he owes for a Verizon bill. He called the 800# and the lady said that he is responsible for the bill because his name is on the bill. My husband told the lady that he never had a phone in his name at that time. She did give an address where he once lived. What we don't understand is why they are sending a bill for a phone that never existed at that resident. He did tell the lady at the end of the conversations that he is not paying for the bill and if they have to they can take him to court...PLEASE understand that you are being scammed for a bill that should have never been billed to you...

FRAUDULENT CHARGES
I was angry to see that i received a email from my credit bureau stating someone tarnished my credit report with negative infomation. When i investigated it further, I found AFNI had put the information on my credit report with. After calling them, this was no doubt a fraudulent account with Verizon, but what frustrated me more was that this was handled poorly, there was no attempt made to contact me at my correct address before it was put on my report, there was a fraud alert on all 3 reports but was overlooked. What was worse was the way the call was handled, their professionalism and the service reps' lack of knowledge and repsect. Overall a bad situation. I had to ask for a supervisor to handle the call! and now that i see that i am not the only one with this issue with AFNI and their fraudulent accounts, i feel that the Better Business Bureau should investigate these complaints with both AFNI and Verizon

Getting information on service
I tried to call verizon to get some information on the DSL or wireless internet packages. I do not wish to discuss my roommate's phone account at all. There seems to be no interest at Verizon at providing infromation on their services. This is the worst customer service. I just want information on internet packages. Come on Verizon...help me out. I am invading no one's privacy, I just want information on your services.

triple play best buy gift certificate not received
on Dec 4, 2007 I signed up for Verizon's Triple play offer for a $200 Best Buy Gift Certificate. I have called Verizon several times and they say they will forward it to the department that mails the $200 Best Buy gift certificate. Each time I've called I am told it will be another six weeks. This is totally unacceptable and I want it now to purchase a sale item at Best Buy this week.

Verizon Triple Freedom
Complaint:
On 11/30/2007 Mr. Adelman (a rep. of Verizon) contacted me on phone and convinced me to order the package Triple Freedom (Phone + DSL + Direct TV). He told me that I will get a free 19” flat screen TV set and my monthly bill would be $99.99 + tax. I have NOT received the TV set and my bills are:
February 2008 - $147.62
March 2008 - $142.78
April 2008 - $142.09
During the last three months I have spent several frustrating hours on phone with Verizon representatives, supervisors, Direct TV, but no one has been able to resolve anything. The call drops after a few minutes and the system does not allow you to speak to the same representative again, thus you end up explaining the whole story to another representative and the call drops again. On many occasions I have asked the supervisor to call back, but they never do. Verizon does not have a customer service center where customers can go and resolve such issues in person.
I wish to cancel these new services and go back to my original plan.
In the meanwhile I have decided to pay $99.99 + tax ($115 per month) instead of the bills that I am receiving from Verizon.

FIOS lawn diggings
The subcontractor for Verizon FIOS cabling work in my lawn went back and forth my lawn about 6 times now in almost 4 weeks.
They repeatedly excavated and graded parts of my front sodded front lawn and on all occasions did a ppor job of putting back the sodded area.
The kind of work they did was not what was written on the letter Verizon sent us monts back.
They said that they will restore the sod in its original state but the outcome was clearly not acceptable.
Is there a class action lawsuit that i can join regarding these complaints ?
ill be happy to include myself to let them know they can not get away with these digging problems on our private lawns just for them to have business and make more money out of us in the end.
i am definitely not switching to FIoS because of this bad experience with Verizon.

Scam charges!
I received new service from verizon on 03/31/2008. My service I ordered was dsl online with a wireless modem and a phone line. My phone line had a short and my line always has static on it and you can't talk and you can't call anyone. Then my dsl isn't working because of several reasons, 1 buying they sent me a broken installation disc they cut up and almost in half when they shipped or received it. With a broken installation disk for dsl you have a NO DSL SERVICE for that REASON. They won't send me a new installation disk and I keep calling them to fix my service and they come when I am not home and try to fix service. then when I call them they REFUSE to cancel and when I keep opening a repair ticket they keep closing it. I don't want them to fix anything I just want them out of my life now. My service has been horrible and the customer service they have none and tech support they have none either. I asked verizon tech support what an isp address is or any of the codes to hook my dsl up, they tech support could not speak much english much less fix my service because if you don't know english would you know what a DSL is?? Or an isp address for my service (no you would not). So due to all these reasons I have phone service and dsl service that I am paying for and does not even work. and calling these people they refuse to cancel me only open a repair ticket and lie and say it is fixed. This is in Florida. anyone else have no customer service or tech support/service from Verizon unless you call state attorneys office? I know for sure they have been playing around with my service because when I did call tech support they acted like they knew nothing and no one was there to help with my issues then after we hang up my service comes on for 5 minutes then goes off . and this happened 3 different times. I know it is not my service issues and it is Verizon playing games because they can't service all we demand and now I am paying for the service aI can't get and the repair I need and can't get. so far for this service and billing fro 03/31/08 to 04/10/08. For DSL I owe verizon $49.00. That does not include my phones bill from verizon. and my dsl and phone service isn't working yet either. and they don't want to fix it nor cancel me. I am mad as hell verizon. I am sure this is happening to other people not just me. If it happens to you too? Speak up so WE can be helped and not just heard.

Long distance charges complaint
We received our bill from Feb-Mar'08 and we were so mad when we got $128.80 charges for a 24-minute call in the Philippines. The second 30-min call for the same number was only charged $4.80. My husband call five days in a row last week and he spoke to different persons because they keep transferring him to another department, sometimes they will just cut the line when you already spent more than an hour waiting on hold especially when it's almost 6pm and they cannot decide what to do about the complaint. They told us they will give us a call about it and they never did. I called this morning again and my effort was useless again because after talking to two different persons for almost an hour, the line was cut again. Calling overseas for 35 minutes would only cost $5.00 prepaid card and that $128.80 for 24mins was ridiculous.
Verizon is only good when you asked them to add new services, they are fast to attend to your request; but if billing is in question then expect the worst. We were so upset, disappointed and mad about what happened. We were diligent in paying our dues in full every month and we are good customers that's why it so frustrating that they cannot help us in time of need when the fault was with them.
Please help us. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Terrible service!
On a Monday our Verizon land line died through no fault of our own. Through other means on line and eventually by voice, we called Verizon for repair. Verizon scheduled a visit for five days later--on Friday--for any time between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The phone is used for our work, so we needed it back much sooner. We also had conflicts that Friday, but they couldn't be more precise about the time. They agreed to switch our incoming calls to our cell phone, but that means we'll have to pay for any additional minutes of cell phone use for both outgoing and incoming calls.

bad customer service
my verizon bill was 492.00 for 2 months of phone and dsl service, they shut them off, it took me 11 days and 4 hours on the phone being transferred put on hold and talking to people who could barely speak english!! and I found that no one knew what was going on, they were charging me for dial up and dsl, some one put an order in for both to be shut off, so I was back on the pone again after getting service restored, what a mess, the service was terrible, I am still waiting week number two for my dsl to be turned back on, and waiting for my bill to ne straightened out, low and behold I recieved a bill for dls service and phone service even though I still am not hooked up!!! This is the worst service I have ever had!!
