Free TV RIP OFF
We went for the Verizon deal last January of receiving FIOS internet, cable and landline service for $109/month with the added incentive of receiving a free 19” Sharp LCD TV.
January installation 8am-12 no show, reschedule next available mid february.Call and verify free tv is still obtainable.Verizon rep :(Ater 30 minute wait)Oh yes it has been extended until March due to overwhelming interest in Maryland states rep.
After many calls, no letter, my password dosent work on Verizon web site.June 6th Rep, states ourorder had never been processed in the dept thta award a tv.She submits offer and info.
Several calls in July to follow up ..Rep states “will be shipped in several weeks”
August 1st…Call again speak with someone in the billing dept I recieve a letter
Verizon has over charged you on your bill…You will recieve a creidt on the next bill (have spent nurmous hours since Jan trying to get bill corrected ) No matter how you add it up it’s different evwery month.. Charges are way over the 109.00 a month.
Now the real kicker I ask about my FREE TV ..6 differnt people later and a 2.5 hr phone call..The marketing Dept tells me ” You didnt get the 12 mgb something internet service so you are not eligable for the TV. HA I'm not a computer specialist and told the girl your technican should disclosed this at the time of installation..Your company is not being honest..THE LINE IS QUIET she transfers me to a Customer Service Rep again (ith some long title) that is just a fancy name for a supervisor..I’m on hold again..20 minutes later..She states
You are not eligable because you already had Verizon Phone Servise !At the time I had called about this great Verizon promotion I said ti this rep. Your company should have said I'm sorry but you dont qualify for this package.Instead yor excepted me for your free tv offer and 2 yr agreement.
That was the final straw…I explained the are full of deception and misleading…
and the only Customer Service they provided was they could speak proper English. I had read some where some consumers are asking Comcast etc to
pay verizon $199 the disconection fee and they would go back to Comcast immed.

Verizon internet security suite
RPS.exe Unable to locare component. Application has failed because "inhR.dll" was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem and the same for "CLBR.DLL" application. What can I do to remedy this so I can reinstall the Internet Security Suite.

Verizon's horrible customer service
I’ll put another vote in for Verizon being one of the worst. I called a couple weeks in advance to get Internet set up in time to move into our new house. They gave me a starting date, but said I could start the service earlier as long as we had the equipment– all I would have to do was call. (I'd also like to mention here that I work from home via Internet, so it was particularly important to verify that we could have Internet at the house as soon as we moved.) Moving day comes, we have our Verizon equipment, but they refuse to give us service.
So, we wait a few more days for the “official date.” Call again and there’s technical problems — so they can send someone out to look at it over the holiday weekend. We need to be inside our house on July 5, from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM — an 11 hour time-frame! We wait all day — and nothing. No tech guys show up at all. Eventually, after a total of two weeks of this ridiculous back-and-forth and hours lost we cancel the service we never received and move to a different provider.
Of course, they still bill us $100 for the service we NEVER saw.

Nightmare service
Don't ever buy a phone from Amazon that forces you to set up a new plan with Verizon if you want to keep your old number. I was on the phone for an hour and 15 minutes, went through 6 representative transfers and finally just told them I was going to send the phone back to Amazon because no one at Verizon could figure out how to port my number over from TMobile.
Last I checked, this is a pretty standard request. I guess Verizon is still trying to pull their heads out of their asses on this one... I didn't have another hour to waste on them trying to figure out how to get this simple task done.
This is my second nightmare with Verizon, so I guess I'm a masochist. I should have known better than to give them another chance...

Worst service and company
A warning to anyone remotely interested in connecting a 'bundle' telephone, cable and internet package with Verizon... l DON'T DO IT! Your local cable company or Direct TV can provide you with the same services at way lower and much more affordable pricing, with better customer service. In a nut shell, I have only had this service connected for 3.5 months. I never used Verizon before. In 3.5 months, these idiots have sent me bills, totaling OVER $1270.00, and after sending them over 800.00 in 2.5 months, they still want more!
Here's how it started...
I had a 'bundle package' connected to my home on April 2nd, Murrieta, Ca. I was promised a flat rate, to include taxes, at 209.00 per month, for phone, cable and internet service. This cost included DVR boxes and the whole enchilada. It was the 'best' service I could get, per the sales woman who signed me up.
I was forced to wait for 2 full weeks for installation. The Verizon equipment box was already installed in my garage. This meant minimal work for the technician, who was in and out of my house in a matter of minutes. Basically all he had to do, was turn a switch, and he connected my cable boxes. My son installed the wireless internet router.
The first bill arrives, I notice massive charges, ridiculous amounts for 'installation' fees and other costs, which I had not approved. I had an additional cable jack installed, and was told the cost was only 45.00. Unusually, along with that charge, I see another charge of 97.00, for the cost of the 'labor.' I call Verizon for help, am tied up on the phone for hours trying to get a hold of the right department... they send you thru a pile of computerized prompts, where it is almost impossible to speak to a real person. I finally get a hold of someone, and am told the bill will be credited to reflect what I was promised.
Credits promised by Verizon rarely occur. Customer service reps are not allowed to credit money, they simply request the credit, and it is up to the people higher up to either approve or deny the credit. Usually, your credit requested for Verizon's errors will be denied. Long story short... For the past 3 months, I have been making repeated calls to the billing department, trying to get help for the ridiculous bills that they continue to send me.
I spent 4.5 hours on the phone today, and spoke with at least 10 different people, all of whom had different information. I kept a detailed phone log of who I spoke to, and even copied my 'live chat' session, which got disconnected. I spoke with a woman named Carol, a guy named Ryan and Tim, and others. No one will give you their last name. All these robots gave me a pile of different and incorrect information.
Verizon sucks you into signing up for their service, promises you a lower price, that you NEVER get. You spend many wasted hours battling their telephone service centers and begging for assistance. You never get any help. Today after wasting 4.5 hours, wasted on the phone, I ordered my service disconnected. I just couldn't take anymore. My time is valuable. I have paid an amount of 800.00 so far, for really crappy service, with a very deceitful corporation.
I can only imagine that some low paid creep in their collection department will now be contacting me over 'bills unpaid.' The last guy I spoke with said, 'You should have no more money to pay on this account.' Yeah... right.

Free 19 inch Color TV offer
I signed up for the triple play on March 11 had the system installed April 14th. GUESS WHAT... NO TV. I called and was told I was on the list I was even given a number. I called again, We are backordered but your TV will arrive by no later than July 15th. I called spoke with 2 supervisors. No I was not in their system but sure you know when I subscribed and the rest of the dates. It should be obvious what is owed me. Instead I was offered a $5.00 per month reduction in my bill.
This is one incredible rip-off. After doing some googling I am not the only one. We need to look at a class action against Verizon as well as to report this to the FCC. What an incredible amount of nerve.

Unauthorized charge
Verizon charged my home phone $211 for a 65 minute landline phone call from New Jersey to Sweden. Normally, this call would cost $6.50, but I didn't sign up for their international plan (which was never offered).

Gift Card Scam
I signed up for the Triple Play over 10 weeks after being told by the Verizon sales rep that I would receive a $200 gift card if I signed on. I just called Verizon’s customer service today after 10 weeks of waiting for my gift card and was told after 30 minutes on hold, “Sorry the rep told you wrong, you do not qualify”. They offered to give me a $5 monthly credit, totaling $120 over two years. Verizon is a deceitful company that knowingly tells prospective customers anything necessary to get them to sign on, knowing very well that they will be sent a stray through their practice of passing the buck till one eventually gives up. All those that have been a victim of being promised a gift card should band together and bring a suite against this deceitful company, until they will discontinue this practice.
