Verizon DSL Installation - No Show/No Call
I ordered DSL service through Verizon's website. The sent me an email to let me know the date of installation. On the email it stated that I had the option to reschedule if the assigned date was not convenient. I called to reschedule and was routed to India. I was told I was not able to reschedule. They couldn't give me a 4 hour window so I took off the entire day from work.

Two days before the scheduled installation date, I received an email confirmation reminding me to have someone in the home. Well I waited all day and noone showed up. I called to find out what happened to the technician and was transferred 7 or 8 times!!! And each person asked me the same question: name on the account, address, phone number and last 4 digits of ss. I repeated this 8 times to 8 different people!!! I finally yelled at the next rep and told him he better not transfer me to someone. So he looks into the system and it said that my service order was pending and it was approved for installation!!!

Unfreakinbelievable!!! I took off an entire day of work for this??? And get this...the next day, they emailed me and told me that I did not qualify for their DSL service.

Asking me if I want to view male sex enhancement ads
I am so shocked I almost can't type this! I tried to access my own social/ business page on a network I belong to and Verizon cut off my page I was on( my own personal web page with my name) and asked me if I would rather search for male enhancement sites on Verizon Live Search!!! Who do you report this one to?????? I wasn't even on a search engine. Which means Verizon must of cut off my home page and thought this was funny. And you can't send it to anyone to complain because I have tried every agency in the U.S. So other married, 48 year old housewives beware. I know one thing, their phone workers are never come near my home unless my husband is here!!

No customer service
If there was a "Worst Customer Service on Earth" Award., I would vote for Verizon hands down! I have been trying to set up service with them since July and to date, I still have no service but 5 orders on file all pending. I am consistently told that someone will call me to give me a status but no call. I am constantly told that he person I am speaking with will personally call me back and follow up to make sure the order is completed but again, I have 5 orders all pending. The best is that the previous person entered the order incorrectly and this new person will be deleting the old order to fix the issue and enter a new order to replace the wrong one... did I say 5 orders pending?

I have gone from wanting to set up FIOS service for two weeks to just setting up phone service. Worst part is, the jacks are in and I even have phone service, all that has to be done is migrating the phone number from another company to Verizon. I wouldn't doubt I have talked to the entire Northern VA branch near my house and yet, I still have phone service with the other company. I have talked to someone at least twice a week and instead of telling me it can't be done, I get to hear how stupid and ridiculous the person is who entered the previous order but who still has no will be the mastermind to figure out why 5 orders and pending, I still have no phone service with Verizon?

poor serivec
I do not receive service at my home address 6488 Marina Drive Algonac, MI 48001.
I have notified via e mail Verizon customer service that I will not pay for a service that I do not receive.
My calls are poor quality and all are dropped . I have asked verizon to call my phone and verify the quality. I want out of my contract with out penalty and I refuse to pay my current balance. I visited a service center a few months ago in St, Clair Shores, MI and reported the problem, I was told that the problem would be corrected with in two weeks. The problem has not been corrected. I refuse payment and informed Verizon that they are welcome to shut off my phone as it is of no use anyway.

Deceptive sales tactic
Verizon Fios door to door sales person promised free STBs to get you to sign the contract. However when the first bill arrived all STB charges were there. Lesson learnt: Make sure everything is written in black & white, and also get the door to door sales person's name & phone number just so that you can file complaint.

no billing refund
8/27/08 we changed our cell phone service to AT&T. We had paid through 9/6/08. Verizon refused to refund the difference to us. We are also calling the Public Service Commission.

Customer Service
OMG!!! I called two weeks ago to have my landline disconnected, but keep my fios (internet) connection. They said no problem. And, that I would get a final bill that will have the credit from the landline service. Well two weeks later, no final bill, and they disconnected my fios service. I called three times, one time on hold for 3-hours, the 2nd time on hold for 2-hour. The third time I asked to speak with a manager. Get this, I had to leave my return number because that department had gone home for the day already. When I told the rep that I've been on hold for 3+ hours, she said to go a head and disconnect that line. She put me on hold to get the manager of the department that I would need to speak with and came back on the phone to tell me that the department had gone home for the day. This was at 4:52 pm California time. I guess they leave calls on-hold and then leave for the day. No one ever comes back to say that they have not forgotten you. Because, in fact they did. They forgot all about you and do not care if you are a satifised customer. I will never use Verizon Wireless, Verizon TV, Verizon Phone.

Might I recommend to all of you Verizon customers that you do what I did and buy OOMA. www.ooma.com

Ooma service is completely free and works off the internet (DSL/Broadband, etc.). Verizon does not deserve any of our business, and if you can take your business elsewhere I would and I did with Ooma.

This company provides the what I beleive is the worst customer service in the world. They are really that bad.

Rip off
I am absolutely not satisfied with verizon... for Heaven's sake, all I want to do is pay my bill. Every time I call they put me on hold for over 20 min and I get transfered from dept to another, I hate them.

customer service Fios
I was new to the area and tried to set up Verizon's "bundle package" aka cable, high speed internet, and home telephone. The customer service over the phone was unbelievable. I was transferred again and again (2 hours worth, at least 12 numbers). And to make things worse, since I was working with Fios, people I spoke to could never open my record and had to transfer me to other people who barely said "hi" before I was transferred again. Ironically I was using my cell phone for all these calls and holding for, literally, hours. When I called my wireless company, Verizon, they said even though I was calling Verizon, all my minutes were being used up. When I protested, pointing out the absurdity of that, the person actually had the audacity to tell me Verizon wireless was not Verizon. Go figure. If this had not take so long, I'd disconnect the whole thing right away and go back to Comcast.

customer service
as longtime "subscribers" with verizon for local phone service, we signed up for a broadband "special" deal, it took almost two weeks & not the 7-10 days original promised by verizon to get a connection. when notified we now had broadband service we attempted to establish our connection, but noooo, it wouldn't work, so we called verison cs & thanks to a verizon cs rep who stayed with us for 2.5 hours we were finally connected.

we were scheduled to depart for a brief overseas assignment & contaced verizon customer service (joke!) & advised them to disconnect both phone & broadband service in 20 days, they immediately disconnected broadband!!! when asked when it would be reestablished we were to 10 days to 2 weeks!!!

their stupidity, but we had to wait, no recourse, ne credit, no refund, no "sorry"!

so verizon, when we return home we will never contract with you for servixce of any kind, we don't want or need to do business with idiots!
