Bill for cell phone
I was a victim of identity theft when someone purchased a cell phone in my name from a Verizon distributor & made hundreds of dollars in phone calls. I attempted t resolve the issue with Verizon for the last 6 years with no success. There has been a negative disposition on my credit report as a result. Now afni has sent me a settlement letter offering me to pay half the balance. I AM NOT GOING TO PAY A DIME for something I never purchased or used.

Rip off company
I've had numerous situations with verizon. About two years ago I was incarcerated and wrote a letter to the Dallas office to have them disconnect my phone as I was locked up. After 4 months of being jailed I came home and my phone bill arrived. I was charged for all those months and I phoned them to dispute this but they would not. It is still on my bill and I can prove I was incarcerated. The phone company claimed they did not receive my letter until July 4th. Which is a holiday. Yet they would not help me again. After that I moved in with my landlord in which I have service in his name but I pay the bill through my credit card, and through the internet I can check the bill through my e-mail service. A few months ago I noticed I was being billed for an answering service I never signed up for. I called them and the company refunded my account. In October I left for 30 days and put the phone on vacation. Meaning I would not have a phone bill when I was away, nor would I have service. I called them and reactivated the service and wanted to go with a plan for unlimited long distance calls for $48.00. Well I got a bill today for $120.00. I have not spoken to them yet, Verizon seems to always have errors at my expense. On the bill it is charging me for the time I was not here again, along with a service fee saying this NOTICE Your local toll provider has been changed from Verizon to Verizon on Dec.2, 2008 Charge is $3.91. I can not understand all this. Is there anything I can do or can anyone out there help me with this.

refuse to recocile account after several months
I have a land line with verizon, after about a month, they opened an internet account on my bill (I do not have a computer). After calling they gave
another name and service address for the account.
Said they'd reconcile the bill. Instead the added a
75.00 early termination fee. each month bill me for
late fees and interest on over 400.00. I also saw in the newspaper locally that someone had a fraudulent account opened in their name. It is on
my credit and I think there are enough people out there to file a class action!!

Unable to reconcile disputed bill
I contracted with Verizon for a bundle service which included international calling rates. After the service was set to work I was dis-satisfied and terminated the contract within 7 days. I subsequently received a large telephone bill for international calls at premium rate. I contacted customer service who were unable to assist me but advised that I should contact Verizon Corporate HQ in Annapolis. I have written twice but have not received any response (there is no fax or telephone number to call). Because I have not paid the bill Verizon have passed the debt onto a debt collection agency. Separately I have also been billed for other services that Verizon agreed I should not pay. I believe that there has been a communications breakdown inside Verizon I have been billed again. I have not paid this second bill and Verizon have passed the collection onto the same debt collection agency. I need Verizon to respond to my plight.

Verizon is charging me for a service that I didn't request!
Was charged fees for broadband (Verizon) which I did NOT order. Verizon messed up my dial-up Internet service with AOL and regular phone line as well.

I was forced to use a public phone and was put on hold every time I stated that I wanted the broadband charges removed. Emailing Verizon was futile as well, since it is automatic --- you get a general vague reply and no help whatsoever.

I also filed an online complaint against Verizon to the Board of Public Utilities. Haven't heard from them yet.

Verizon never fixed a static problem in my phone line and when I requested help, they sent a technician who stared at the box at my house for a few minutes before taking off. Verizon then tried to charge me 91 dollars for that little visit. I kept refusing to pay. I also kept complaining about it and eventually the charge was removed.

My advice is NEVER pay anything that you did not specifically ask for! Just pay the regular bill and ignore Verizon. If you pay for anything that you did not request, you can kiss that money good-bye right now.

Poor customer service
I have tried for 2 months and at least a dozen calls to Verizon to get them to cancel the "additional" webspace I purchased. Each month they promise it's handled and nothing happens. No refund but the charge stays. It's amazing how easy it is to add the additional webspace but impossible to get it removed. To date it still isn't removed and their "on-line" idiots keep sending me to billing who sends me to Customer service who sends me to tech support who sends me to billing who sends me to CS and on and on. I really hate Verizon.

Verizon advertises that you have multi-room viewing(can record on one machine and can view in up to 6 locations)when you purchase their hd dvr boxes. Taint so, at least in my area. You cannot transmit from hd dvr box to another hd dvr box. You can only transmit to a non hd box. This makes no sense at all, since it removes a lot of incentive to get hd boxes. But their advertising leads one to believe you can view from one hd box to another

Charging Extra
I took Verizon FIOS tripple bundle (Phone+TV+Internet) which they adertise is $99+tax. I have been getting bill for 160 per month since last 3 month and this month I got 175 $. When you call them they wont adress your question and most of the time they will hung up the phone.

You cant even disconnect the services for that they say, they will charge early termination cahrge which is 199 $.

They are cheating people. They advertise FIOS tripple bundle for $99 per month but they bill around 175 $ every month.

Is there any way we can deal with these people or can take leagal action against them ? Please let me know on [email protected]

The Customer service line at Verizon was overloaded when I tried to call on a Monday;
after patiently waiting for 30 minutes, the
call line simply dropped me.

When I called back, and finally got through, the service rep calmly informed me that Mondays are not a good day to call and that yes, when the queue gets too long, the service center center simply drops its waiting callers.

Of course, the problem could be solved by adding a few more cutomer reps, but apparently Verizon doesn't think it needs to bother with that.

Their "service is our priority" is very hollow.
