Everything
Comcast I'm ready to come back. Can't stand this FiOS. TV is horrible with "still photos" instead of "real TV". Internet is the pits from hanging apps to slow...slow...slow. Contracted for the "lightning fast" and got less. Comcast would pop up the web page...verizon is like dial-up for quadruple the money. New computer, new adware detects and virus is up to date. And...service stinks. Phone has a constant buzz. Just terrible everything.

Verizon Fios $79.99 Scam
A Verizon sales representative came to my house to introduce me to their current promotion "Get three services for the price of two" all for the price of $79.99/month. I asked her what i hv to pay for installation and activation, she told me they are all free. with her assurance i signed the application form. the technicians came in to install the cable, phone and internet. To my surprise, after evrything has been done i was told i will be charged for the telephone outlet that was installed. I told them there was nothing like that on my application form. Immediately i called the sales rep. who assured me that she will call the office to wave the charge.my bill was not sent out to me until i called and found out that i hv been billed the sum of $298.66. I called the office to complain and i was told that the sales representative did not know that there was no telephone oulet in my apartment, therefore i hv to be charged. i hv been calling and at one time i was asked to fax the copy of my application if it contains anything like phone jack installation, which i did send it to them and nothing has been heard from them since. the sales representative has stopped picking my calls. If pfizer can be forced to cough out over $2, 000, 000 for false marketing claims i think Verizon will be the next on the list.

issues with fios services
Since obtaining the service i have had nothing but issues. Our phone lines are out the majority of the time and I am not getting 15/20 bandwidth/speed. I have been told to just turn my equipment on and off and restart it. It has gotten to the point where I have to do this every 15 minutes. The firmware has been updated and the router has been replaced even the outside box has been replaced and i still cannot get the services I am paying for. When the services go out you are to report it ... kind of hard to do with out a phone or when there is an issue with the internet they ask you to download and trouble shot online...
I am also upset because if your services do go out Verizon does nothing to contact you about a known outage or credit you for known issues. Basically I could be paying a monthly charge for services that are not promised. I just want to get my moneys worth and get the services I am paying for.

customer service
We have Verizon FIOS for internet which is related to my work at the Patent Office. I spent three hrs today of trying to get my bill statements sent to me via e-mail since my on-line account was deactivated for some reason. I was going through endless circles of changing numbers and the same routine of answering the same questions to the automate service. The result? The problem is not fixed, I still do not know which phoene to call to resolve it. Automated customer service at Verizon is a total mess. How can they provide a good network, if they cannot establish one for their own customer service?

Horror story about FiOS
I recently had FiOS installed in my home. After the first time the "set top box" (cable box) was turned on there were problems.
Accross the screen, purple pixels appeared. The installation tech said "OH whats this" with a puzzled look on his face. He unplugged the HDMI cable, powered down the cable box and then powered it back on. The pixel problem went away but the TV turned on and off on its own a few times, then came on with no obvious resolution problems.
A couple of hours later I go to watch TV and I had the same problem with it turning on and off. Only this time the TV came on with only grey and black bars running vertically on the display. Sweet right, I call that crystal clear reception, way better than ComCast. Ha I was getting pissed at this point.
I called the Joke center, I mean call center for some technical support and I got no technical anything. They got the issues the cable box was having to work right, and then passed off the damage done to my TV as NOT THERE PROBLEM. The only thing I was told is "Sir our equipment works fine, Your TV is broken". DURRP I know the TV is broken your equipment did the damage. "Well sir I am not trained to fix Samsung TV's".
Those scoundrels, (old school Batman saying) There trying to tell me that Year and a bit old TV, the one that I researched the hell out of to find the most reliable, was going to break and it is simply a coincedence that their equipment was installed around the same time.
Don't Use Fios at all the quality is not any better than the service your using now.
DON'T USE VERIZON their customer service sucks.
Show any body who is planning on using Fios this warning Please.

rip off
verizon fios is a rip off and a un-professional company. I think everyone on this complaint board should get together and file a law suit. they lied about the cost to get you to sign up, they lied about the ease of bundling everything and their customer service department is the worst I have dealt with. i do intend to seek attorney's advice for the problems they have caused me and the cost they have taken me for.

International Calls
Scan for international calls
I got my service for 3 weeks and was charged with over $300 for 40 minutes of international call which was mistakenly placed by my mom who uses calling card and didn't dial it correctly. Verizon set up the trap to cash in consumer's accidental mistakes.
Don't use Verizon.

Fraud
Solicited for a free HBO package for 60 days by a Representative named, "Ray" on May 27th. I was told by "Ray" at the point of the order that if we did not want the package to continue, we simply called within the 60 days to cancel and our original, "The Movie Package" would be restored at $12.99 per month.
When I called to discontinue the HBO/Cinemax promotional package, I was told that the original "The Movie Package" was a "grandfathered" package and they would restore it on our account, but not at the original cost of $12.99. Going forward the package would cost $14.99.
It is my believe that Verizon is targetting these "grandfathered" Clients and offering attractive incentives to try free for 30, 60 and 90 days in an attempt to increase the cost of their original package upon return to the original package prior to the solicitation of the free offer.
