Simply terrible
I had Verizon service for years and when I changed service providers (3/08)they stated that I owed them 274.91 from 2005. I called and tried to resolve this issue as if I owed it why am I just now hearing about it after they turned me over to collections. They had been my service provider the whole time and knew exactly where to send the bills so why once I am no longer using their service did this come about. I talked to other people that I know and they stated that the same problem happened to them. I would never recommend Verizon to anyone and I used to think that they were the best. BOY, WAS I WRONG...

Worst phone and internet company
Verizon is the worst phone and internet company there is I said goodbye to sir charge and it is the best thing i ever did. The service is horrible my internet kept going out Iwould call them and get the run around. I would get passed on from operator to operator explaining my problem and they would say hold on and pass me to another operator. I went through this 12 times. I would ask for a supervisor and they were dumber than the operators. I switched to time warner and i never have a problem. verizon stinks.

Scammers
I wonder if Verizon can hear me now...I had an apartment in Pottstown last year, bought and moved to Reading PA this year. I cancelled my pottstown verizon phone number, the same day I requested a new number for reading. Funny, not only did they give me a new number, keep the old number, but atcivated something called one bill, which bills your cell phone directly to your home phone number. Problem? Well, yes, they one billed my cell phone to my OLD home phone number...now, how would i know to look into my OLD phone number for cell phone charges, I just saw a zero balance and thought, gee I must have paid this already...finally, I thought this is crazy, I don't remember paying the cell bill...then to find out i owe $676.82 in wireless and land line phone bills...BOOOBOOOBOOB.

Nothing but problems
After repeated phone conversations and promises from Verizon to call back (which never happened), when problem was resolved. I had to threaten that I will take the account elsewhere, if problem was not resolved, they finally worked on the problem and resolved it.

They don't care about their customers
I have been trying to call Verizon for days...you get put on hold for up to two hours sometimes and still no one answers...They cant want their money to badly if they cant answer to hear your concerns about their errors on your bill...but I’m sure they think they never make errors!! I'm sick of their crap!! They have ripped me off so bad over the last couple of years. Every time I think problem solved they do something else stupid. Why can’t they keep a set rate!!! So a person knows what is to come each month. I can’t afford fluctuation bills each month!!!
I really hate Verizon...and I tell everyone don’t go with them for business if you can help it!!

Terrible customer service
Verizon messed up my bill 4 months out of 12. I paid in full each time I received the bill, but called to discuss and expected a correction the next month.
Each time I called, the land line department blamed it on the wireless department, and vice versa. More than once, they 3-wayed me with both departments.
Thought it was straightened out, then out of the blue, I get a bill stating almost $200 due immediately or they would cancel service. When I called about that, knowing I had paid all they asked, they said they had credited me uncorrected about 5 months earlier and now they wanted their money back.
I cancelled all services with them and went to Comcast. Began paying the due bill in payments, then someone who identified herself as from Verizon called about the balance, told her making payments. She said as long as payments were being made, it was ok.
Next thing I know, I was turned over to a collection agency and now have a "paid under collection" status on my otherwise perfect credit report. Verizon refuses to correct the credit report saying it wasn't their error. ???? It was numerous repeated errors from their company that started the whole mess to begin with!!!

Promotions!
Verizon offered a $99 19" HD TV with their triple play. I got the service November, 2007 and here is is March, 2008 and no TV. I have called monthly and talked to promotions who sends me to eligibility who says everything is fine and they will send the information to promotions. Bottom line - no TV.
