Still waiting for two day delivery
I ordered things from Amazon.com for Christmas for my husband and as of January 3, 2009, have still not received them. UPS was sto deliver them on Dec. 24th as promised, and have made no attempt to contact me about the delays, nor have they attempted delivery to us. FedEx gave us many options, called repeatedly and even offered to meet us at the bottom of our hill to get us our packages. They went above and beyond, UPS has done nothing. Sorely disappointed to say the least.

lousy service
After receiving calls from friends and family on the status of presents, mailed ups, we discovered delays due to weather. My complaint, #1. No notification of cancelled delivery and phony excuses on tracking system, when weather, not a factor . #2 Incorrect information from ups representative, who instructed us to drive 15 miles to pickup package from local ups center, and on arrival there, was told it was being delievered same day. It is now Jan 1 & UPS status says rescheduled for Jan 5 . UPS is broke, hire enough people to do the job or step aside for Fed Ex. We also have a package somewhere in ups system, that contained omah steaks, I hope they go to the ups executives, for their delight, eight days later.

Late/No Delivery
I'm in Gig Harbor, WA, and was affected by bad weather here over Christmas. Still, a gift I ordered for my husband that was supposed to arrive on 12/22 is still not here on 12/30. Every day, the UPS website shows that the package will be delivered "today", yet when the day comes and goes, the date simply rolls over to the next day. So I have zero confidence right now that my package will arrive at all. I've called once so far but they basically said there's not much they can do, just wait and see. I have a feeling they'll be hearing from me again when the package does not show up today.

My mom also paid $128 to have a package sent next day air from Detroit on 12/23, but that package hasn't arrived yet either. Is it fair to charge someone $128 when you know you can't make the guarantee? I'll bet they smiled at her, looked her in the eye, lied to her, and took her money, knowing full well they were covered by their "no guarantees during holidays" clause.

I would advise anyone to not use UPS. Use Fedex instead. The packages I sent Fedex managed to get to my mom by Christmas, and the weather in Detroit was no better than it was here. So explain that one, UPS.

First off this number given does not work they may call you but you maybe not call back... great rightttt NOT so i my package was suppose to come 5 days earlier than it did. I got one part of the package and not my skis therefore had to miss my ski trip. They told me that my package was at the central location THIRTY MINUTES AWAY so i went out there to get them and they could not find them and told me they were on delievery... first lie i got home then they were not there so called ups they had someone call me and then they said they were closing in 15 minutes and i could come get them so i said id be right there since i was already on the road... then they said welll we actually dont know where they are SECOND LIE. so they finally came to the conclusion that i would not beable to get them until monday soo today is monday i was suppose to go pick them up but some lazy piece of shit women did not put in the request so then i was going to meet the driver to get them. So i drove and sat at the stop where i was suppose to meet him for THIRTY MORE MINUTES then drove up and down the road. THIRD LIE... now i am still waiting for the call to get them

3 Day Delivery Selection
3 Day Selection - Don't choose this option when using UPS - 3 days means 3 business days!!! Next time I'll know not to choose this - wish someone had told me then perhaps Christmas would not have been late.

Poor service
I was to receive a package on December 17 (5 day ground). Today, it is the 23rd of December and the online tracking says "in transit." I called and asked why it is taking so long, after being patient the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and now 5th day of the package being overdue. Yes, the weather was bad last week but the weather has gotten better and the streets have been cleared considerably. I see a UPS 8 blocks away from where I live but I haven't gotten my package. Yesterday (12/22/08) I asked that the UPS agent on the phone have somebody contact me on 12/23/08 to inform me about the status of my package since I cannot accept this EXTREMELY DELAYED DEADLINE. Not surprisingly, no one called me. I called again on 12/23/08 and talked to a UPS agent by the name of PETE BUENO. I asked him to look into this matter and have someone call me. Again, no reply. The whole day, I checked online 25 times thinking today is the day but to no avail. Now, at 11:15pm on 12/23/08, it says that it is now rescheduled to be delivered on 12/24/08. This is absolutely unacceptable. I NEED THAT PACKAGE TODAY!!! I will do everything in my power to let others know of your poor service.

Rude, Unprofessional Driver
The driver that just delivered my package was totally rude and unprofessional. Granted my dog barks at everyone and especially the door bell. However, I have never opened the door before and had any delivery person start swinging their clipboard madly. That's probably why my 20# mutt started acting like he was going to protect me. Mind you... he only barked... but this driver wouldn't quit swinging his clipboard aggressively even though I asked him to stop. Then when I finally caught the dog who was chasing this wildly swinging clipboard back and forth the driver was very short with me. He told me he couldn't bring the package up our snowy driveway and I would have to have someone come to the truck. I requested his name and he got real defensive and wanted to know why. I told him he was rude and of course then I definitely didn't get his name. I guess I should have asked him if he preferred me to send my 5 year old or 2 year old down the lane to get the package. Gee, what happened to the UPS drivers having 2 wheeled carts? Oh well, I left my children unattended and drove my SUV to get the package.

My suggestion is don't hire drivers who have a dog phobia and secondly teach the drivers to ask for assistance if needed and not just be rude and demand customers do things.

I am sorry if our little mutt scared him. However, I had already figured that a 100# package would be difficult to bring up our snowy lane and if he'd been a little courteous, I would have offered that I drive down the lane to get the package. I did it anyway, but now I know what I never ship my packages with UPS.

Delivery
UPS ruined my Christmas, F***ers were delivering a very important something to me for a very important person and after almost running my friend over it delivers to me an empty box, they then say in defense of their company that the "object" was never really in there. It may have been a successful excuse if I myself had not sent it myself. UPS is possibly the worst company that I have ever laid eyes on. F*** those Bastards!

Bad service
How can a business so consistently let its customers down yet continue to operate? The latest: the tracking info form states that my package was delivered on 12/19, which is strange because I was home at the time (5:16 p.m.) yet my buzzer never rang and I have not seen a notice anywhere. Yes, it is possible that the apartment manager is irresponsibly holding the package, but is there an excuse for not contacting or notifying me, especially since I was at home at the time? I know they are especially busy this time of year, but you can't press a button or stick up a notice? UPS "customer service" is unreachable either by phone or website. I am left hoping that the apartment manager has my package and waiting 'til Monday to find out.

Terrible service
First delivery attempt made 12/19/2008 @ 3:28pm. A notice/slip was never left indicating an attempt was made. Knowledge of delivery attempt was known through online tracking.

At 5:46pm (12/19), called UPS to track package for pick up at UPS center. UPS said a representative would call within the hour to confirm the time of pickup.

At 6:55pm (12/19), called UPS again to state that a representative from the center had never called. An attempt was made to change the delivery method to have the package sent to an alternate address with a doorman. UPS said, such an attempt would push back the delivery date (earliest delivery would be on 12/23). Therefore, I told UPS I would rather pick up the package the next day at their center.

At 9:41am (12/20), called UPS to confirm package was at the location specified. They said a representative from the center would call within the hour. I was told that if I did not receive a phone call that I can be assured that the package would be at the location since a request was made from the night before.

At 12:24pm (12/20), called UPS again since they had never called me to confirm my package would be at the center. I needed a confirmation from them since I would be using my lunch hour from work and renting a car. I was assured yet again that the package would be there.

About 1:45pm (12/20), an attempt to pick up the package at the specified location... the agent had said that a second delivery attempt was made to my apartment. The package "was never pulled from the truck" despite several calls to UPS.

At 1:58pm (12/20), called UPS to complain regarding the situation. I changed the address to have the package delivered to my friend's address with a doorman. A promise was made that the package would be delivered on 12/22/2008. I was also told that I would receive a phone call to confirm delivery.

As of yet, I have NEVER received a phone call from UPS.

**IF YOU WANT YOUR PACKAGE DELIVERED, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH UPS. I WILL NEVER AGAIN DEAL WITH A COMPANY THAT USES UPS. TERRIBLE SERVICE.
