My bank removed a delinquency from
It was removed after discussing the circumstances with me.
This year I noticed the same delinquency is still on the Equifax and Experian reports.
But when I contacted them, they refused to remove the delinquency from the other two credit bureaus.

innacurate, incompetent
Transunion is a joke. They still have my old address - moved 2 months ago (and as such, still show my motgage open) my old employers company names are so bastardized as to be unrecognizeable.
I disputed some old charges with Macys credit (which is a whole other complaint) with all 3 credit reporting companies. The other 2 companies cleaned it up and my credit score is excellent. But, I almost did not get financing on a car due to Transunion doing nothing about this dispute and having grossly inaccurate info on me. In fact, my opening sentance is a quote from the car dealer's credit manager - "we approved you based on the other 2 reports - Transunion is a joke."
When I called to speak to someone at TU, it took four calls before I got someone I could understand - they quite obviously outsource their "support" to a foreign land. Not the operators fault, but if I can't unserstand them, they can't help me.
I cannot begin to describe my frustration. That a company this poorly run has such a tremendous effect on people's lives is a crime.

bate and switch
I signed up and paid for what I thought was access to my credit score and report for one year through TransUnion. I was on the TransUnion "official" website when I gave all my information. I actually logged in several times through the TransUnion site. That was in December. Now a few months later when I log in, it doesn't show me the report or the score. I can see my account information and some contact information...but the number they give for support states it's TransUnion, but you are connected to True Credit.com. This is not who I chose to do business with. Now I can not find anyway to report this to TransUnion and True Credit will not honor the deal I made with TransUnion because when they look at their little computer screen, it shows I paid for my score only. I tried to explain it many times to them and they stood their ground by not giving me what I paid for. What I don't understand is why does TransUnion have so many advertisements and links to other things besides what you actually came to them for in the first place.

Impossible to obtain your credit report
I have been trying to obtain my credit report from this comapny for a period of time. When I first logged on I was prevented from using the supplied password. I was Locked out. After 5 12 hours of trying to get throught to find out why I was told that they didn't have my updated details. This was immediately faxed to them. I was informed that I would be able to acces my report in 48 Hours. I tried again after the 48 hours and was still logged out. I then asked 96 hours later I asked to speak to a manager and after a number of mistries was finally put through to a Mr Bongani. He said that my information was invalid and that they hadn't received my updated details. These were faxed to his personal fax number. He PROMISED that my credit report would be e-mailed that same day 31 August 09. On the 1 September I phoned again to find out what was happening as I had not received my report as promised and I was still logged out on the site. Mr Bongani wouldn't take my call so I left a message. I am still waiting for him to return my call and my credit report. ITHOUGHT BY LAW THAT I HAD THE RIGHT TO THIS ONCE A YEAR.

Blocks my government mandated free credit report
Trans Union is based in Chicago, Illinois, and is one of the three national credit bureaus, or consumer reporting agencies, in the United States. It currently handles data on approximately 160 million consumers. As a consumer reporting agency, Trans Union receives detailed credit information about millions of American consumers from numerous credit grantors including banks, mortgage companies, credit unions, auto dealers and others. Trans Union compiles this information into consumer reports and sells the reports to credit grantors nationwide.
In addition to its credit reporting business, however, Trans Union also sells a variety of target marketing lists through its subsidiary, Performance Data. Using the consumer information it collects, Trans Union creates lists of the names and addresses of specific categories of consumers and sells them to target marketers who in turn solicit the consumers to purchase goods and services.
*not only are they guilty of selling personal and private information to whomever will pay for it,
THEY BLOCK ACCESS TO FREE REPORTS, AND DRIVE MOST INTERNET AND PHONE TRAFFIC TOWARDS PAYING A 14.95/MONTH (180/YR) SERVICE.
THE LINK PROVIDED FOR FREE ANNUAL CREDIT REPORTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)is annualcreditreport.com, but TRANSUNION WILL NOT PROVIDE ANY CREDIT INFORMATION AND WILL LINK TO A BROKEN WEBPAGE. THEY WILL ASK FOR VERIFICATION INFORMATION THAT IS INVALID OR OUTDATED, ALL GEARED WITH THE INTENTION OF DENYING PEOPLE ACCESS TO THEIR OWN REPORTS.

my report
Transunion is a joke... they are so full of it. Ive been trying to verify I am myself for 3mos. now this is ridiculous. They keep sending me papers saying they cant verify that I am me because of this or that I have a letter right now from them again saying that my proof they required is illegible which isw ah crock so here I am sending it again but now im sending my original bill they can have it I want to send my original drivers license(can I do that) they can have that too if thats what it takes...It would of been easier to go to my doctor and submit blood but they'd probaly say they didnt get that either ...Im going to send the documents AGAIN but I clearly see that they are just buying time and they will reject them too. I went to the web site FTC (Federal Trade Commission) but it says they dont take personal complaints. My e-mail is [email protected] if anyone out there knows who /where/how I can make a complaint please send me the information it would not only save me time but postage stamps also...

Stay away
Good luck trying to cancel. I have been trying for eight months and every month, like clockword, the charge shows up on my statement. Despite 7 phone calls including another 8 today, nothing is resolved.
They had my address at one I haven't lived in nine years. They refuse to refund my monthly fee despite trying to cancel since January. I was cut off several times, re-routed and ultimately resolved nothing.
I now have phone calls into the President of TransUnion, Bobby Mehta; the VP of Communications and the President of Consumer Relations. Next step are the networks. We'll see if I get a phone call back. Granted it's only $80. but it's the principle.
I am a media relations person and if my company treated people like this, I wouldn't blame them for going to the news channels. STAY AWAY FROM TRUE CREDIT AND TRANSUNION UNDER ANY AND ALL CIRCUMSTANCES!!!

Blocks my government mandated free credit report
As we all know, we are entitled for one free credit report every year by logging on to annualcreditreport.com. This is the official web site supposedly set up by the three credit bureaus, Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion, as mandated by the government. Obtaining the free report from Experian and Equifax was easy, but not with TransUnion. As a matter of fact, I haven't been able to get a free credit report from them since this program was started.
Every time I request report from TransUnion through the annualcreditreport.com website, it would ask me for my "TransUnion" log in and password. Years ago I bought a credit report from them and I created a log in name and password. I don't remember that anymore. When I click the "forget my log in / password" icon, supposedly it emails the information to my old email address that I haven"t used for years now. When I call them, they also ask for my old user name and password which I don't even remember. To make the long story short, I am not able to obtain a free credit report form TransUnion. I always end up paying for it, which they make it so easy to do. I believe that they designed the procedures of obtaining a free report so hard and complicated to re-direct the public to their pay-only website.
