WILL NOT BUY AGAIN April 13, 2010
BAD STEAKS
THIS KID CAME BY OUR HOUSE SELLING THESE STEAKS. KEPT ON TRYING TO MAKE US A DEAL ON LAST FOUR BOXES HE HAD. HE HAD ALREADY SOLD HIS DEEP FREEZE SO, HE REALLY NEEDED TO SELL THEM. ALSO, GAVE US A SAD STORY ABOUT HAVING A NEW BABY AND A SICK WIFE AT HOME HE NEEDED TO HURRY AND GET BACK TO. HE SAID YOU COULD CUT THE STEAKS WITH THE BACK OF A KNIFE, THAT IF WE COULDN'T OR DIDN'T LIKE THEM WE COULD GET MORE TO REPLACE THEM. EVEN IF OUR ELECTRIC WENT OUT AND THEY RUINED WE COULD GET MORE TO REPLACE THEM. WE ENDED UP BUYING FOUR BOXES FOR $460. HE WANTED US TO GIVE HIM CASH IF POSSIBLE BECAUSE HE NEEDED GAS MONEY TO GET HOME ON...WE WROTE A CHECK! NEEDLESS TO SAY THEY ARE THE WORST STEAKS WE HAVE EVER TRIED TO EAT. THEY ARE REALLY TOUGH AND THEY SMELL REALLY BAD. WHEN YOU COOK THEM THERE IS THIS GROSS STUFF THAT COMES OFF OF THEM. I HAVE THROWN SEVERAL AWAY.WE ARE JUST WAITING FOR HIM TO COME BACK THROUGH OUR AREA AGAIN!!!

Way of Business
This happened a few years back, however, since there are up-to-date complaints about this company, I will be more than happy to discuss my complaints.

In early 2008, I started working at The Cattle Exchange. The ad was awesome. "Earn from $600-1, 500 weekly" This excited me, and plus in the add, it stated "Company vehicle provided." Well, I went in for the "interview" and "orientation." I went with two gentlemen, both of which names I will not mention. The first day, I was stuffed in the back of a Nissan Pickup truck and told not to get out because I could defer sales. Keep in mind, also, this was one of my "training days". I was frozen for over half the trip to the town we went to, which was Searcy, Arkansas. We went from door to door, attempting to sell meet. No one was ever interested. The truck was then running on fumes; and I was asked "Hey dude, do you have any money?" On the trip earlier, there was $15.00 placed in the tank, as well as an additional $10-12.00 for cigarettes and their McDonalds round, as well as drinks (for them). I was broke, as I was "starting a new job" and said no. They took offense to this, and did not speak to me the rest of the day til they got a sale.

After some time, they finally got a sale, for $5.00 less than what they have to pay the company back, but, it got gas in the tank and them off my back. They then hassled a few more people, got about a total of $800.00 in sales, they split their profit amongst each other, and went on their way.

The next day, I had made a phone call to the "Manager" of the store because I had a dead battery and a flat tire. So, she said "That's no problem baby, you just come on back tomorrow or when you get it fixed" I said "Great! Thanks!"

The day after I got my car up and running again, I returned to work at 8:00am that next morning. I was placed with a different guy...thank goodness because I couldn't stand the other two. I'm not judging this new person, but, he "left his drivers lisence in Alabama" So, I had to drive for this goober. He asked if I knew how to get to Russelville, I said "Yes! Man, my brother lives up there, we'll pay him a visit too and see how he's doing!" With that in mind, he questioned my every move and my every motion. I asked him why to Russelville, he told me "I promised this guy a freezer for his meat because his freezer was busted, and I forgot" I said "okay, no problem" We headed to Russelville.

Mid-way there, he told me to stop at Wal-Mart and so he could get some minutes for his cell phone, and I did. He told me to get out that he was driving, so, I complied. He drove the rest of the way because he knew exactly where he was going after Dardanelle. We went tho this person's house, and they were very thankful to see us, and he gave us access to his house and freezer to replace the thawed meat with the new fresh meat and freezer. All of the meet that I felt was cold, however, not frozen. All of the vacuum seal had failed and some of the juices were seeping out of the boxes. The driver called the "main office" (unsure of which location, Hot Springs, AR, or Atlanta, GA) and they said "Sell it for $60.00/case" For those who don't know, there are 6 boxes to a case, and a case cost $120.00 for the driver, and a box cost $20.00 to the driver. Back to the point, we were driving, and he said "Dude! I came up with a catch for it! Instead of saying it's flash frozen, I'm going to say this sh*t is freezer ready!" After using that on about 5 people, one person finally bit and bought the bad meat for $100.00 (giving him a $40.00 profit)

After trying to sell meat to more people, he became very angry and decided it was time to go home. He also was a very pushy person, as were the last 2 guys. My moral of this story; do NOT buy nor work for this company. Ever. It is inadvisable.

HORRIBLE COMPANY..BEWARE
I was harrassed by 2 of their salesmen regarding their meat products. They were going to sell me a box of beef and then gave 2 chicken boxes free. The total was $459 and I got no receipts and the salesman immediately asked where my bank and what was the closest one. They gave me no return or warranty information. He said he was going to give me a receipt but then he forgot he didn't have his receipt book. After they left, I did a little research and found their website adn realized that they had charged me TRIPLE what the prices were on their website. I was angry. We also discovered that the meats are no where near the weights they guarentee and it is old meat. I called the number listed for them on the website and a child answered the phone. I then found a different number and the woman that answered the phone assured me that I could return the products. I was very leary of these people at this time after reading the numerous complaints for the same thing so I made sure my husband was home when they said they would pick it back up. At this time, a different salesman came to our door and said he was in the neighborhood and he was contacted for a return. He took all the products in the same packages and box but he didn't have our check or a refund for us. Luckily I called my bank immediatley and they check had not been presented so I did an immediate stop pay so I would not be out $450 and have nothing. During the next month a very rude lady, Linda, called repeatedly about the check and she wanted the money. I left a total of 17 messages on variuos phone numbers listed on their website and emailed the address listed but I never heard from anyone regarding this. Only they would leave messages at the strangest times of the day and when I would call back it was just to a voice mail. Although I am not out any money, I would like others to be aware since I still see their vehicles driving through our neighborhoods.

not a scam as otheres
I 've just read a complaint about The Cattle Exchange that I wasn't satisfied about so now it's my turn to reply. Every one have their opinion about business, yet when you place them on-line for others to read then expect other sides to the story. God never intended for two people to act alike, or more over do business alike. If you have a sibling with the same mother and father and were raised in the same household. When they reach a mature age and began to develop their own family. Those families are not going to be the same.

Now that my point has been given, let's get to the real matter at hand. Cowboy from Alabama you may have come in contact with a bad salesman I must apologize and I'm sorry. But we all have had some bad experiences. We take those individual experiences and apply them to our own individual lives and learn. Penalizing the world or even the whole establishment and their representatives may not be the appropriate response. I will that I understand you feel agree and you may be right on your opinions. Yet, I'd like to believe that experience is one of the best teachers. It's only human to make a mistake or get taken for granted. But what could be less human is to continue to allow the mistakes to cross your path. What would make your own life easier is to just protect yourself from future harm. And at the same time allow others to have their own experiences. Now if the same situation presented itself again then I suggest that you handle it accordingly... so that God would be pleased! Everyone that works with The Cattle Exchange is not a Scam artist and everyone is not out to burn you. We are in a world of crooks and bad people who intentions are for your harm...that is not our intentions. I pray that you are protected with wisdom and able to weed these people out, so your life would be better in 2009. Remember we are not in a perfect world. There are only a few people working to do the RIGHT thing for people in every situation, and the color of their skin won't tell us who is who!!! On a softer note, I am a Cattle Exchange Contracted worker and I Do unto others as I would like for them to do unto me. I respect my customers and only present a blessing not a curse. I use the worlds goods to bless others in need. Don't look at all The Cattle Exchange representatives the same if you can, because some of us are real honest people and strive to do right. Some of us are family orientated and this is how we support our family!

Thanks, Be Blessed, and May Heaven Smile upon You(Family)

Terrible company!
I got a visit from these two guys and was told " they just left a house down the road and the person changed there mind about wanting there delivery." They just wanted to show it sold so they could get there "commission" for a sale. It looked good, so I took some into the house. After I got to looking at it and checking the weight, found out that I was shorted. I contacted the company and was greeted with a phone message system. I left a message and waited till the next day. Apparently they either screen there calls or just don't look to return 'problem' calls. After a being shuffled from one 'salesperson' to the next, I was given to the V.P. of Merchandising. I explained my problem and I was told there would be no problem getting a refund. Just had to send in the "Request for Refund". I sent it in by fax with a copy of the sale. I called back the next day and got a hold of the "V.P." again. He told me that it he was glad I called they needed my address. I asked about my refund and was told that I should be "eligible" for one. When the flier said "100% Guaranteed" . I had to wait to see if I qualify, like I was waiting on a loan application.

I contacted my local and state agencies about this problem. They told me that it was hard to catch them do to the fact that they move in and out of an area so quickly that getting them stopped is hard. If I were to get a tag number I could report it to the highway patrol and then they could be pulled over for different violations. Thats about it. They are called " Kite Contractors". They get different loads of meat, seafood and poultry in a house type freezer. Then " Deliver" it door to door. Some are ordered but mostly door to door. If they get in any trouble they are cut loose. The money is paid up front so nothing lost. Just our money.
