Customer Service Nightmare
My experience with Target was a nightmare! When I was looking for a specific hair coloring product, I could not find it. I tried to look for an employee to assist me, but had a hard time. Once I was able to locate an employee, she made an uncalled for comment, about how that specific Target branch did not carry the product because they targeted "ethnic" people. I was completely taken back by the comment. To me, it sounded racist and I did not feel welcomed.

That was just the beginning. As I was checking out, I had coupons for certain products. The cashier was utterly ignorant of the stores coupon policy and made rude expressions. The cashier kept rolling her eyes, making sigh noises, and putting her hand on her waist.

Instead of feeling satisfied with my purchase, I walked out feeling disappointed and frustrated. I could not believe the lack of customer service and lack of products available. I used to enjoy shopping at Target but after this occurred; I will not be shopping there anymore, until things change.

Price switching
Every time I go to Target there is the price on the shelf and then the higher price that I get charged at the register. It's that illegal in most states?

Team Leaders
I have to say that I am disappointed on the values I once believed that target use to stand strongly by. Giving great customer service and team members who truly carry pride in their work. I once had a friend who was a Executive Team Leader who loved her job and the team she lead. The team also loved her and their other team leaders, they ran that store like a well oiled machine and it showed. My father even worked in a target store where they acknowledge his hard work and understood his needs when he became disable due to a car accident. I honestly hoped and even dreamed a little about working for such a company ( while I was working at another retail store), but the Marina store had crushed that hope...  Such depressed employees and rarely do I ever see a manager( team leader) on the sales floor. The usual response when I ask a employee is that he/ she is the office " all the time". Rarely do I  see a smile or it's short lived due to the fact their not happy being there at all. I worked as a manager in a similar company for a few years and I worked hard to be a leader, not a boss.  I worked hard to earn the respect of my "TEAM" and not delegate orders without listening to my team members needs. It seems to me that there is a problem with the leadership in that store and it is tarnishing Target's name. Target praises to be ranked 19th most admired company in Fortune 500 in 2009, but currently they rank 22nd. If Target doesn't want to continue to drop, I suggest they start revaluating their store team leaders and  that they start with the Marina store or this will not be the last word you hear from me. I can't stand injustice from a person who apparently hold a title of "Leader"...

Employee mistreatment
I do not know if this is the correct place to make a comment but hopefully it gets to the right person. I went to shop at your Scottsdale, Arizona location on 9000 E. Indian Bend. As I was walking into the store I noticed a woman who looked to be a manager, a woman by the name of Aly, speaking with the lot attendant. They were standing maybe 10 feet from the main entrance. The lot attendant is specials needs, a curly, red haired gentleman with glasses and I have seen him before. The manager was being so rude and condescending, I could not help but feel horrible and embarrased for the attendant. I could see the stress in his face because he knew she was unhappy. She was telling him he needed to make sure certain things were done properly. As I walked inside I walked to the clothing. About 5 minutes later, I walked back up because I was considering making a complaint, and she was STILL outside pointing her finger and talking loudly at him. I then walked over so I could see her name tag so I could write a complaint. I enjoy shopping at Target, but I couldn't help but be disgusted at how this woman treated a special needs individual. Especially right in front of the entrance where everyone and anyone could see. I have worked as a sales executive for many years and if a sales representative of mine acted this way, they would not be on my team. It was completely unprofessional and if this is how Target treats their employees, especially those with special needs, I will not shop there. I will also be writing to corporate and anyone who will listen.

Movie defective
I purchased the new Narnia The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (blue-ray+DVD+digital copy) at Target in Shiloh. When I got it home and my husband opened it, it was not in a plastic container but in cardboard sleeves (very junky). When he took the DVD and blue-ray out they were both scratched and had fingerprints on them. So I went back to Target. I know they have a stupid policy and I try not to buy things there ... but I made a mistake AGAIN! Knowing how Target is I went back and got all the copies of the movie they had on the shelf and took them to the return department. I wanted to exchange for just a blue-ray but they didn't have any. Well, the person opened every one of the copies of movie and they were all scratched and had fingerprints on them. So, I asked if I could get a store credit since they all were defective. Well, the person called one person up and she said she couldn't do it they would have to call someone else. So I waited waited and finally the "manager" came up. I told her the problem and showed her all the movies that were defective and asked for a store credit. I even told her that I had had this problem once before last year and the manager gave me a store credit because they didn't have a movie that wasn't scratched. Well, she said because people pirate movies (she insinuated I was a pirate) she just couldn't give me a store credit I would have to LIVE WITH IT!!! She was very rude and I am not a pirate I am a grandmother and have no idea how to even copy a movie. I don't understand - they have to send all those movies back to the manufacturer anyway, they could have given me a store credit and sent mine with them. My husband said they probably rewrap them in the back and if I go back today they will be back on the shelf. Now who is pirating. They are ripping their customers off = all I wanted was a store credit. They have done it before ... especially since all of the movies were defective. I said once before that I would never shop at Target again --- this time I mean it -- I will continue shopping at Walmart where the people are friendly - not rude and smart alec.

Customer Service
The worst customer service in my life! I will never shop at the target store in Frisco Texas on Eldorado and Dallas Pkwy. I tried to return a pair of pants and do an even exchange but they would do because I didn't have my receipt. I did expect them to give me an in store credit but didn't expect real money back or the absolute rude BAD customer service. All I have to say is don't shop at that Target store!

Refused to let me buy sale items
I received a gift card and went to buy something at Target for the first time. I am a diabetic so I can only drink sugar-free drinks. Pepsi was on sale for 4 cartons for $11 so I picked up 20 cartons to use up my gift card. When I started to check out, the manager would not let me purchase the Pepsi. He decided I could only get 10 cases. When I started taking 10 cases off the cart so I could buy the balance, the manger refused to let me do that. He took the Pepsi back.

Horrible customer service
So i left the Target store in union, nj so dissatisfied the other day. This is what happened.. So i was looking at the bathing suits. I found one that i liked. I bought a size medium in the top and bottom peice. When i got home to try it on, i realized that the bottom peice was too small, so i decided to go back and get a large, which i saw about 4 of them displayed when i originally bought the medium. By the time i went back into the store with my receipt and original purchase (a week later), all the larges were gone. So i took my receipt up to guest services and asked the associate could he tell me if this union store or another store had this swimsuit in a large. The guy scans my receipt, scans the bathing suit and then tells me, "ummm well i think we have like 4 of them here, but i dont know if they are size large." Hmmmm, ok then, so i asked him if he could look up the large size, he said no. So then i asked him could he look up if another store had it, he said no. So i said, "well what am i supposed to do, find someone on the floor to help me?" He goes, "yea." Alright fine. I go back to the sales floor and what a suprise NO ONE was there. The place was like a ghosttown. I circled the clothes department a good 4 times, looking for someone to help me. No one. By this time, i was upset, I put everything i had that i was going to purchase that day down, and walked out. Keep it up, and i wont be back. Ever.

guest experience etl from hell
i am a single mother of one trying to get by and trying to take care of my daughter. After a year of working for this company.i have been employee of the month twice. ive had open availability. i have struggled with babysitter after babysitter to stay loyal to this job. i fell upon the decision of putting my child into a daycare facility and had to change my availablity based upon the day care.. this supervisor from hell.hasnt been there longer than 6 months.. in her short time at the company. she has managed to fire and push many great team memebr to no longer work for this company.. she is racist and she talks down to people both young and old..this woman said very nastily that she denied my availablity which is 8-5 simply because my daughters daycare opens at 7am and i rely on public transportation to get to and from work.. and the daycare closes at 6 and i am the sole care taker of my daughter. my hours got drastically cut and 2 people were hired to take my spot.. my hr refuses to do anything about this situation.. i have offered numerous times to work in any other department including BATHROOMS!!! and after doing so much for this company.and soo much more i am booted out as an unvauable team memeber and i am told that i no longer meet the needs of the busniess.. but yet positions open up and get filled and i never seem to amount to enough for this company..TARGET donated to charites and does good on the outside. but the people who really make target what it is are not valued...

Stupid employees
I purchased 2 bikes from the Vallejo Target about a month ago, due to bad weather, I was only able to take them out twice. During the 2 outings with these bikes my husband and I noticed some interesting problems. The first obvious issue, my husband attempted to slow down, low and behold, whichever wonderfully talented employee assembling bikes that day his was made, completely forgot to properly instal his brakes. Luckily, he was able to stop without a problem and he, being Mr. Fixit, solved this problem for himself. Now for the kicker. Up until the 2nd bike ride, I had found nothing wrong with my bike with the way it rode or with an inspection. Boy did I learn that looks can be decieving. I hooked up a trailer for two of my children (purchased at walmart, thank goodness, or that may have fallen apart too) and started riding. Within about a 1/4 mile, I started hearing a funny metal on metal clanking. Shortly after, the pedal nearly came off. It was so loose I felt that I could literaly pull it off. As I was attempting to stop, the handlebar grip came completely off, causing me to lose my balance since it was unexpected. To make along story short, I am picking myself up off the ground, screaming and cursing the day Target opened and swearing that if anything would have happened to my kids, I would have sued them until hell froze over. I have complained to Target directly and got an e-mail response saying, "Oh, I am sorry to hear that. I am forwarding the message to the Vallejo store." Well I dont give a hoot who you send it to, I want the problem fixed. I have complained with BBB as well. We shall see if they do what is right. Moral of the story? I guess you cant even trust the "professionals".
