After I mistakenly blocked a collect call from a family member at a correctional facility, I tried approximately 4-5 times over 2 weeks to "unblock" with T-Netix customer service. Each representative informed me they removed the block and I would be able to receive calls; to no avail.
I contacted the Public Service Commission for my state, who filed my complaint immediately.
I also contacted the Broward Correctional main facility; they immediately removed the block.
Also, T-Netix charges over $2.00 for the first minute, which they use up with prompts (which you cannot bypass, as you can't hit "0" to accept until you hear the prompts).
What is the benefit of this telecommunications company that costs more to the consumer?
