Sync Lending Reviews

Carl June 2, 2009
Money scam
Approximately a week before Christmas, I went on yahoo.com in search of loans that were guaranteed for individuals with less than perfect credit. During my search, I came across a website for Sync Lending. The loan company was exactly what I was looking for. It almost seemed too good to be true. Because I believed in their misleading and falsified website, I submitted an application.
A couple of days later, a New York number (646-536-9090) appeared on my called id. As I answered the phone, a woman named Kelly Patterson identified herself as an employee of Sync Lending informing me of my loan approval for $15, 000. Kelly mentioned that I could receive a loan for less, but their minimum was $10, 000. At this time Kelly stated that Sync Lending required a collateral payment of 10%. I informed Ms. Patterson that I was on my way to work and I would indeed give her a call later. This is when Ms. Patterson gave me the number 1-800-418-7251 to return her call.
On Friday, December 22, 2006, I contacted Ms.Patterson to learn more about the loan. She informed me that if I chose the loan for $10, 000, it would have to be paid back at $215.92 over 4 years with $1, 000 down. However, if I opted for the $15, 000, it would have to be paid back in five years at $267.29 a month with $1500. I chose the $15, 000. At this point, Ms. Patterson said that she would email me the contract and I was to fill it out and fax it back, wait thirty minutes and call the company to see if the contract was received. After which time, I would be transferred to the accounting department to get the money gram information (send the money to Brent Trent of Montreal, Quebec) to send my collateral payment. I informed Ms. Patterson that I was unable to complete the necessary paperwork and money transaction at that time because I was leaving town and was not returning until after Christmas.
On December 27, 2006 I checked my email for the documents from Sync Lending. I printed the documents, completed the requested information, attached the proper documents, and faxed (1-866-388-4017) them to the company. I waited an half an hour and contacted Sync Lending and asked for Kelly Patterson. At that time Ms. Patterson was busy so I told the indivdual who answered the phone that I faxed my documents and needed someone in the accounting department. Once I was transferred to the accounting department, I spoke to a woman named Denise. Denise informed me that all my paperwork was there in order and I would receive my loan on December 28, 2006 between 5 & 6 pm.
When December 28th arrived, I checked my bank account several times between the hour of 5 & 6 but the $15, 000 was still not wired to my account. At approximately 6:15 pm I placed a call to Sync Lending and spoke to Denise. At this time she said that they were a little backed up and my loan was guaranteed to be in my account by 9pm. Shortly after 9 that night I checked my account several times and still no money. I repeatedly tried to contact the company but the phone would either ring busy or ring and cut off.
On December 29th, shortly after 9am, I checked my account and still no money. At 9:24 am, I placed yet another call to Sync Lending and asked for Denise. I was informed by Anthony, the supervisor, that Denise was in a meeting until 1pm and that she would give me a call after the meeting. Unfortunately 1pm came and went. At 1:40pm I called back and spoke to Chris Peters. Chris informed me that my loan was on hold because I had not made my $750 insurance payment. Mr. Peters stated that once I made my insurance payment my loan would be released to my account within one hour.
After my conversation with Mr. Peters, I checked to see if I had enough money to make the insurance payment. All I had was my rent money and my daughters daycare payment which was still not enough. At this time I decided to borrow money from a friend since I was guaranteed to have the money within one hour. Once I obtained the insurance payment I sent another money gram to the company. Once I made the payment I called Mr. Peters to inform him of my payment. He told me to call back in 20 minutes to see if it was received. I then asked again for my own reassurance if the money would be definitely sent to me in one hour. It was at this time that Chris said we would disgust that once I called back. That's when I knew that I was once again deceived.
An half an hour later I called and spoke to Mr. Peters. Mr. Peters stated that since it was Friday they were so backed up with processing loans that it would not be there in an hour, but guaranteed to be there by the close of the business day between 8 & 9pm. Once again this was not the truth. Sync Lending was now closed for New Years' holiday and I was without my rent money, my daughter's day care payment, the money I borrowed, and the $15, 000 I was promised time and time again.
On January 2, 2007 at approximately 11:40am, I placed yet another call to Sync Lending and asked to speak to a supervisor or someone in charge. The man on the other end of the phone informed me that he was a supervisor. I explained for the hundredth time my situation and all that I have been going through. The gentleman said that the lender decided not to lend me the money after all and I was put on refund status. I asked for the reason but was never given one. He said that information would be disclosed once I received my refund of $2, 250. I was then informed that the refund usually takes 30 days but they would make sure I had it in 10 to 15 days.
It is now February 25, 2007 and I still do not have my money. Sync Lending is a well orchestrated scam. This company is simply misleading individuals into believing they are going to receive a loan and in actuality they are simply just taking peoples hard earned money.
