I recently purchased an item from seller sl-jewel on eBay. The item description was significantly misleading and the item, a marquee, fell apart before we had even finished putting it up. It was listed as a "Gazebo Marquee and wall...water, wind and 99% UV resistant...Heavy Duty Frame...Quality, rust & corrosion resistant...steel joints to ensure they meet the toughest conditions". I wanted to solve this problem as amicably as possible and contacted the seller to tell them what had happened. I received an email back basically accusing me of making it up and asking me for photo evidence. I sent through several photos of the damage done and it was plain to see that the marquee had fallen apart and certainly didn't match the description. I was ignored for quite some time and then wrote negative feedback on their eBay page. Aside from the fact that the product was unusable, I had also received horrible customer service and had been basically called a liar so there wasn't really anything positive I could say. At this point, I received an email from them basically blackmailing me and saying they would consider giving me a refund if I withdraw the negative comments. It has now been about a month that I have not heard anything. This seller has certainly not met the sellers performance standards, has tried blackmailing me into removing any negative comments and not reporting them, has severely falsely advertised and basically ripped me off completely.
