Impossible to contact customer service
Had the same problems as everyone else. Customer service is IMPOSSIBLE to contact by either phone or email. Horrible company. Chef Tony should be ashamed to have any connection with this company.

Rip off
Smart Lids are a rip off!! When the product arrives at your home and you finde out you have been charged $47.70 for shipping the $10.00 lids are much more costly. Buyer be ware.

Beware of this company
I attempted to order the SmartLidz on the internet but could never get a shipping and handling charge. Finally I foolishly proceeded to checkout thinking that I would then learn and confirm or cancel the order as every legitimate company will allow. Instead, within a few minutes I received an email, showing that I had made TWO orders, both at the same outrageous handling charge the scammers chose to make. Every effort to contact the company was blocked or refused and some time later, exactly one week apart the orders arrived. I will file a dispute with my Visa provider and am considering contacting The Department Of Consumers Affairs as well as the Better Business Bureau. Beware of this company as they are anything but honest.

Unauthorized billing
My wife ordered 2 sets. The one regular, and the bonus. Figure about $20.00. I, like others, checked my online banking statment, and discoverd that Smart Lidz had deducted $49.75 from my credit card. I was ticked off, and that's using mild language. I called customer service, and like many others, got the recording saying all oerators were busy, call back later. So I kept calling back. For 3 hours, I called back until I got through, and then waited 20 minutes until a human being came on the line. I questioned her about their inflated shipping charges. She told me, "that's because of your jumbo lids". I replied, "What jumbo lids". She said, "the ones that came with your bonus order. There are 5 of them at $7.95 shipping each. I indicated that adds up to $40.00 alone, so if you add in 2 sets of lids at $10.00 a piece, that's $60.00 already, without any regular shipping charge! "We're sorry you're unhappy Mr. Purcell. At that point I hung up & shot the cat! I was disappointed that Chef Tony would endorse this product. If you haven't ordered this yet, don't. If you have, I'd love to know if you were able to get a refund. Three big thumbs down on Smart Lidz.

Fraud and scam
My condolence's to all the folks ripped off by Smart Lidz . I saw the commercial and like all of you was interested in the product. After reading the reviews, I've decided to take your advice and wait for the product to be in stores. My suggestion, report the mfg to the Attorney General as well as the Postal Service. This mfg is scamming monies from customers claiming outrageous shipping cost. The Attorney General's office will shut down his bogus website for fraud! Chef Tony is full of baloney!!!

Do not waste your money
The commercial is a total lie. These lids don't work at all, especially in the refrigerator where the lids become cold and don't hold a seal. Don't waste your MONEY!!!

Double charged
Should be reported to BBB. Charged double for shipping therefore not getting 1 free. Try to call them and they tell you to call back later they are busy. Hope someone can read these before ordering, wish I had.

Overcharged greatly
I just purchased the smart lidz item and was shocked to notice a $30+ postage - infact the postage was high than the item. To make the whole story dubious - I got 2 orders when I wanted ONLY one oredre. For 2hours, I have tried EVERY possibility to reach the site and inform them of this anomaly but there is no respondind site for customer. I feel dissapointed and angry. Why spend money to lure customers to your site when you do not intend to play fair?

Rip off
Seeing the TV ad for Smart Lidz, $10/set, I went on line and ordered two sets expecting it to be an honest transaction. Additional ads on the Website asked if I would like to add other items. I chose some expecting to adjust on the final Payment page.
When I reached the final page, the total was $33.00 and $41.00 for S&H! Total of $74.00 for this order! Before I could cancel the order it was automatically forwarded. Immediately, I phoned to cancel the order but was told, after waiting 35 minutes for an operator, that I must wait 24-72 hours for the order to be downloaded then they could cancel. I called every day to cancel. Today I called and was told that the order had already been shipped and I was out of luck. I called my credit card company to cancel the payment but was told I must wait until the sale shows on my record before the rejection process can begin.
I must return the merchandise unopened, before the credit card company can begin acting on the complaint. It will take at least 30 days to receive satisfaction. Moral of the story...check boards such as this before committing your money to this type of "good deals". And watch for the S&H rip-off.

The biggest rip off
Ordered and paid the big S&H price.. never received the Jumbo lids as promised, , have used them and they have already ripped... I gave these as gifts, , How embarassing...live and learn.
