I do not recommend this service for anyone who wants to sign on for a professional, above-board dating service
I signed on for a 1 month subscription with Singlesnet, an internet dating service. I cancelled even before the month was up. There is no screening whatsoever: all kinds of questionable people are on there, making lewd comments; I even had one "Nigerian businessman" who wanted me to contact him about future business deals! If you just read someone's profile without taking any action, Singlesnet automatically sends that person an e-mail saying you are "interested"! I do not recommend this service for anyonw who wants to sign on for a professional, above-board dating service.

Do not trust this dating site
This for everyone going to dating website such as match one, singles.net. its all hpye they lure you in but when you try to contact some other members they want you to payjust when you find someone interesting. If you look for african americans every other race and creed comes up, Also look out for the people advertisting to meet others, just lies and more lies and a waste of time especially looking for people in your own area. You do better going to the *** bar in person because all these sites claimed if you pay you get?

Charged me for a 2nd month then block me out
Singlesnet charged me for two months when I only signed up for one month. And when I complained about it to them on tuesday 23nd they tell me they automaticlly charge your card that they keepin their system every month untill you call in and cANCLE OUT. I cancel out they already took 24.95 for the next month which covers me untill April 21st. I went to get on the site and I couldn't they blockedme out. I tried three times and could not access it, even with my email and password. They ripped me off for a second month pay of 24.95 and then keep me accessing the site.

Scam
Singlesnet.com was installed on my computer Feb 2 2010 and now I can't remove them from my computer at all. I've tried everything I could on my end and nothing works. My un-installer says it can't be removed because it's a network program, in which I have no authorization. I want these douche bags removed from my machine, I' sick of it being stuck here. My Spybot S&D keeps saying that it's accessing my computer, I want this sham site removed, yes, I'm frikken p1$$ed off, I want it gone like yesterday.

Bad service
Singlesnet.com is by far the most uncompliant website I've ever seen. They don't post anything about when maintanance occurs so I was right in mid conversation with a woman when the site went dead for repairs. Of all the e-mails I've sent about issues or problems with the site have not been even responded to in any fashion. I will never spend money on that site again. I suggest others don't either. Match.com seems much better although I haven't subscribed yet. But I'll NEVER resubscribe to singlesnet again. These people should be ashamed to call themselves a dating site.

FRAUDS
I WAS A FEATURED MEMBER TILL FOUND OUT NON-MEMBERS CAN ONLY EMAIL FEATURE MEMBERS ONCE. ALSO SENT EMAILS TO 25 FEATURED MEMBERS WHICH INCLUDED MY EMAIL ADDY AND DID NOT GET A SINGLE INTEREST. SAME TIME SENT 25 INTEREST WITHOUT EMAIL ADDY AND RECEIVED ALMOST ALL RETURN INTEREST. THE CONCLUSION IS THAT EVEN THOUGH YOU PAY TO BE ABLE TO CONVERSE WITH A NON- FEATURE MEMBER, OR VISE-VERSA, YOU CANNOT, SINGLESNET WILL NOT LET THE OTHER MEMBER GET YOUR EMAIL THAT CONTAINS YOUR ADDY. WHAT SHOULD BE PRIVATE, SINGLESNET READS. AND IF IT HAS A WAY FOR THE OTHER MEMBER TO CORRESPOND, THEY TRASH IT. THE WHOLE IDEA ON THIS SITE IS TO MEET AND FURTHER YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH A MEMBER, BUT INSTEAD, SINGLESNET PREVENTS THIS THROUGH THEIR FRAUDULENT PRACTICES. SINGLESNET BOTTOM LINE IS NOT FOR HELPING A PERSON FIND A RELATIONSHIP, BUT THEIR PROFITABILITY

Scammer
I joined singlesnet a few years ago and met a woman that went by the name "Kelly Cook". We chatted for awhile and she got me thinking she and I had a future together. Then she started telling me a story about how she was working in Nigeria and was staying at a hotel and needed money to pay the hotel bill because if she did not she would be kicked out into the street. Ofcourse her employer owed her money and had left the country and she had no way of contacting him to get her money. Then when I refused to send her any money all of a sudden she asked for my address because she wanted to write to me because the hotel charges had mounted and she was not going to be allowed to use the computer. I gave her my home address anf I received a letter sent by UPS it was a money order and I was asked to cash it and wire the money back to her. I played along because now I was suspicious that something was not right. I took the check to my bank and asked them to verify it was fake. I deposited it but I was contacted by the bank and told it was fake. The bank had put a hold on the funds and did not release any money because of the large amount. I was then pressured into sending any amount I could to her because she needed money to eat. I told her the bank said the check was fake and she became angry and demanded I send her the money immediately and stop lying. I told her I wanted the name of the person that sent me the check because I was going to the FBI and other authorities. She refused to provide the names and ceased contact after that. This turns out to be a decent ending because I did not lose any money but the point is Singlesnet should be held responsible for these scams because these people are preying on Americans and scamming them everyday. Also I had given her my cell phone number and a man with an African accent started calling me asking me when I was going to send the money. I told him I wanted to speak to her and he said not until I send money and I downright refused. I had no intentions of it anyway. She claimed the hotel manager was holding her travel documents and the only way to get them back was to pay the money. I offered to contact the US embassy and she said that would not do anything. I contacted my congressman and his staffer said she could get duplicate docs at the embassy. I told her this and she totally ignored it saying it was not true and I had just been told this by a congressional staffer. The phone calls occurred before the money order was sent to me. I told her by email I did not want anymore calls from the manager because I had no interest in talking to him. She kept saying we were going to get married and have children together when she came home. She fed me more garbage that her parents were killed in an accident and had no family that could help. This was a well planned scam everything I tried to do they had something to counter it.

Discrimination
I have had men on the site email me and when I read their profile it talks about how they are only there to meet women for sexual encounters. I got tired of getting emails from people like that so I put in my profile that I was not just there looking for sex - please don't write if you are. They took that out of my profile and wouldn't let me post it. So it's ok for men to post that they want sex but not for women to post that they don't! Pretty discriminatory - and I've told them that, too.
One man in particular has age 44 posted on his profile. I could tell from his photographs that he was much older than 44. He had emailed me several times asking when I was going to meet him and finally, I emailed him and asked him how old he really was. His real age was 68. I told him that I thought that was wrong and I was going to report him to Singlesnet. He responded to me with: "When I first joined this dating service more than one year ago, I entered my actual age and received profiles of ladies who were between the ages of 55-65.. After several dates and discussions, I decided to call the Singlesnet organization to see why I was not receiving profiles of younger ladies. The singlesnet people told me that their computer only issues profiles of ladies who are no more than 20 years younger than the person requesting profiles. Since I prefer dating younger ladies between ages 35 -55 I told Singlesnet that I was disatisfied with the profiles of older ladies.
She also told me that there was no way that I could go into my account and change my age. She said the thing that she could do so that I would receive profiles of Younger ladies is to "Plug in a number" and that is what she did."
So there you have it. You can't search for anyone by entering YOUR preferences, they chose those preferences for you. And if that doesn't work they tell you to lie on your profile. I've emailed Singlesnet about this - it's wrong and I do NOT think that they should be allowed to do this.
