On the 24th of July I travelled to Phalaborwa for my sister's 50th birthday party and her daughter's 21st birthday party. I had booked accommodation at Sefapane lodge a week earlier. When I arrived, everything was on track. The following day, more family arrived. I decided to take one family to Sefapane. I explained to the recepotionist that there were 6 adults, 4 children and 3 todlers. I was then told that the house, which was meant to accommodate 10 adults, would not be sufficient and the receptionist convinced me into taking another room. The house was offered at R1500 for the night. Which was a special price (independent of the fact that I was taking the house over and above my own accommodation that I had booked a week earlier, and a secon unit). After seeing the house (15min after booking and payment for the house and the second unit), the family realised that there will be no need for the unit. I was accompanied by the receptionist at the time (after 10pm). I immediately notified him and asked him to make a note that the unit will not be occupied. The Lodge is refusing to refund the unit although not occupied. This is the thanks I get for bringing them more customers!
