refund
Another rip-off from Seattle Coffee Direct...They owe me $116.85. in credit refunds...From the complaints it doesn't look like I will be getting the money...I am calling the police and then my bank...

Failure to refund
I, too, answered an online offer in August and the coffee kept coming after the initial order. I was sent 3 additional offer within 2-3 weeks. Calling them did not help because the agents all had the same line such as "you will be refunded but it takes time." Finally after 3 months of being ill-served on the phone, no refunds on my credit statement, and no response to a letter sent to the President/CEO, I filed a complaint with the Illinois Better Business Bureau. I would suggest this for anyone having trouble. They have been very helpful. I have only been refunded $38.95 for one order - nothing for the remaining two, but this is a beginning. I believe we all have to file complaints formally for the BBB to realize what has happened to so many people because, in unity there is strength. I don't believe I want to go the way of arbitration, but if many complain a class action suit may be the only way.

unathorized debits
I entered a trial offer with the seattle coffee company. Received my 2 mugs and 2 bags of coffee. Next thing I know my account keeps getting debited 38.95.. I called the company and canceled. No problem. Now it is November and they are charging my account $79.00. Called the company, the lady said she would credit my account when I return the order. What order??? It has been almost 2 weeks and I have not received any order. Filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, the coffee company responded that they would refund me within 72 hours. It is hour 56, not refunded yet, but then they have 16 more hours. Do NOT ever use this company. Hopefully, I will receive my refund, if not on hour 72, I am filing another complaint with the BBB.

free offer turned to unauthorized charges
I have the same complains as others have had with seattle coffee direct. have been charged over $100 now. Can't seem to get a hold of the company to cancel coffee packages i keep receiving. anybody found any resolution?

THEFT/FRAUD
I canceled with this company on JULY 10, 2009, even have a cancel confirmation number from them and 4 months later they charged (STOLE) $80.00 from my checking account. I spent HOURS calling to a never ended answer when finally some one was brave enough to answer to only be snotty and tell me that I must have placed an on-line order on NOVEMBER 5, 2009 because otherwise no charges would have gone through...ON MY MOTHERS LIFE...NO SUCH ORDER WAS PLACED...THERE COFFEE BEANS ARE HORRIBLE...
So not only will my money not be returned in a respectful amount of time 1 to 3 business days but she informs me it will be one to two billing cycles, I ask her so how long is that in your company's opinion and she informs me i will see my stolen money in 60days. I ask that all my information be deleted from this company...she insured me it would with another cancellation confirmation number ( since the first one of those did me so much good ).
I would like to call a police department and report theft but we all know that is and endless tunnel that gets you know where.
IF YOU BUY FROM THIS COMPANY PLAN ON GIVING THEM MONEY FOREVER...BECAUSE EVEN IF YOU CANCEL YOU WILL BE STUCK DOING A LONG DEVIL DANCE WITH THEM... TAKING FROM YOU.

refunds
I did the intro offer, that was as promised. They then sent nine shipments of coffee within a 4 week period...each shipment costing 34.95. We then called, recieved the instructions on how to return the products to them and by our own conscience, bought the sign on delivery option...good thing we did! I returned these products back in June...It is now November and I have recieved ONE refund. I have called numerous times with always the same promise...you'll see your refund in "3-5 business days", "5-7 business days", "7-10 business days"... You have to stay on them to get your refunds and you have to almost argue about why you are owed the money. I would advise that no one do business with this company.

Over Charging
Beware dealing with this company!! They ended up billing me for coffee and tea to the tune of $250.00. I refused shipment per their instructions after I complained. They have yet to refund my payments and this has been going on since August. What a rip off!!

Excessive charges
In June of this year I made a purchase through Seattle Coffee Direct. They charged me for my initial purchase normally, then 3 days later another charge...then 2 days later another, then about every other day till I called and complained. They said they would cease the billing and sending of coffee. 2 days later another charge ... this time I was very upset when I called and was told my money would be returned as soon as they recieved back the coffee they had sent me ( which I had turned down at the door already) ... 3weeks after I had confirmation from UPS that the packages had all been returned. I called again... this time I am told that it will take up to 2 billing cycles for the money to be returned and I am ssent an email confirmation of the money to be returned. here it is November and I still do not have my money back. I have called 6 times. The most recent call I was told that they have resubmitted the return and I should have it in 7-10 buisness days.
what I want to know is... 1) where is my money? and ..2) if they can bill every other day... then why does it take 4 months to give me back my stolen money?

charged, didnt sign up
I signed up to receive a promotion from Gevalia coffee about a week ago. I received the coffee and was billed the $3.00 for it. I cancelled subscription. I just received an overdraft from my bank with a $79.00 charge from Seattle Coffee Direct, which I had never heard of. I never received any coffee from them. The only way they could have gotten my card info was from Gevalia, I didnt sign up to receive anything from Seattle Coffee Direct. No coffee is worth $79.00 to me and I wouldn't have gotten it.

fraudulent charges
As part of another offer I signed up with Urban Tea Direct to recieve a special "free" offer. A special for 4 bags of tea and a pair of mugs and a tea leaf steeper. It was a "free' offer with $39.76 shipping and handling charge. OK no problem, it was worth the shipping for the 4 bags of tea which I hoped was extrodinary. I was supposed to receive a new shipment once a month.
I received my first shipment 10/06/09 and the second on 10/22/09. Ok, a little faster than anticpated but still OK if they wait another month.
There were charges on my debit account for $39.76 on 10/6 and 10/09. Strange they would be so close together but I did receive the products. Here is the kicker>
Alos on my account there are 2 charges to Seattle Coffee Direct for $79.00 on 10/20 and 10/28. I called the company informing them I never signed up for coffee or received any products and there must be an error. i am dumb founded with the answer. They asked if I ordered tea and I said yes, but it was from a different company. It was expalined that it was the "sister" company and that Seattle Coffee also chrages for the tea. Now this makes no sense to me and asked further questions. The answer was that the website said there could be price increases. Totally understandable- everything goes up. But not triple in 2 weeks!
They are double dipping the customer and have no regrets. There was no offer to correct the 2 $79 charges. I am returning the entire shipments (never opened any tea pouches) and expect of full refund of all charges from both companies.
I would like to warn the public that this company is fraudulent. A customer purchses what a contract says. I agreed to shipments for $39.76 and and then am charged additionally double the amount by anther company.
$240 for 8 bags of tea? Not in my house!
